Have a similar issue with my 1995 mazda 626. Exactly the way you described yours. The gas mileage is of course extremely poor. Nothing like check engine light on the dash board. I have since abandoned the car till I can get the right mechanic to fix it considering the danger it poses on the highway. I will appreciate if a mazda specialist can be of help here

I just bought 1999 toyota camry and discovered the fuel consumption is outrageous. I'm scared about quack mechanics touching anytin on the car, however these are my observations:

Both fans come on immediately d key is turn to on position
The temperature hardly leave the lower limit position.
It also indicates check engine light.

What do u think I do cos I changed car simply because my former car consumes fuel excessively and my mechanics help to spoil it further and I'm really scared allowing any of them touching my car

Hello Doc,
I have a case here, my gf has been having issue conceiving since we got married mid 2011 but without success.
After 6months of TTC, we went on thorough analysis (ultra_scan, hsg, hormonal assay and seminal analysis)
The summary of her analysis shows that she has fibroids and ovarian cysts.
My result shows moderate growth of staph aureus with other analysis indicating normal results.
She therefore had a myomectomy which was a very successful one. Fibroids were extracted from her. But after the surgery, so many things changed, her periods became unstable and continue to have whitish n itching discharge.
She was recommended HVS which revealed she has a fungi infection. We were both placed on drugs (diflucan).
The gyn administered her some injection which regularised her period back to normal. However, the cycle changed from 35days pre-surgery to 32day post-surgery which has been consistent for about 3months now.
She ran another HVS which indicates moderate growth of candida albican & staph aureus
My major concern now is that we have been TTC for over a year now without success, how can you help and what is the implication of the last HVS.

@miccodb. It first started by jerking @ low speed, making it difficult to move on low gear. When on high speed and try to change gear, the engine stalls the moment the clutch is pressed. Meaning the engine either vibrate seriously or stalls on idle. As the jerking continued over time, I took it to my mechanic who then serviced d throttle body and adjusted the throttle position sensor, it stopped stalling but still vibrate and jerk. Later changed the MAF, but still no improvement. The engine now revs excessively even without my effort, i.e 2000rpm on idle. I have changed the air filter,MAF, temperature switch. Could it be that the MAF installed is equally bad or it's simply wrong diagnosis?

@sultan, I have checked the spark plugs and wires. They are all okay. I have infact changed the spark plugs and air flow meter, still no improvement.

Can I get someone in the house who can help me fix a 1995 mazda 626 as its performance is embarrassing and consuming. It jerks a lot and always hesitant to move except I push pedal down. The most annoying part of it is the fuel consumption. Efforts to scan it proved abortive cos it's pre_1996 car. I have changed so many sensors, still not improving. Is there any mazda specialist who can help?
