NaBanga:Exactly!!! No doctor can confirm that by doing blood test. There need to look into other possible cause of the seizure and manage appropriately. The symptoms are not consistent with what the op claims the doctor said. This will save the mum and his marriage |

My mum vehemently opposed my marriage to my husband because of his place of origin , he is from Mbaise in Imo state and I am from Enugu and I am the first child, she said first children don't marry outside our village and mbaise people are terrible. She used every possible tactics she could use, emotional blackmail, getting people she felt I respected etc. My dad is late so I needed her on my side. I didn't insist I must marry him to her, I just gave her space on the issue and started praying for God to let her see reasons cos I was convinced of my decision, it took time but eventually one day just met her and asked her to tell me what the guy did to her...She jut looked at me and said , you can ask him to come and commence marital rites...and that's how we got married. We ate married now for 10 yrs plus with 3 kids.and my mum and hubby carry on well. She likes him. Parents wants the best for their kids though they are not always right .if u are sure of your decision, persist respectfully and talk things over I believe u will get the consent....don't think it is okay to go ahead without them... |

I have been reading most of the comments here and some are just heart breaking I am a medical doctor, I have worked in both govt and private hospitals , the truth is that some patient's attitude after treatment have caused some hospitals especially private ones to make rules concerning payment before treatment....I have had a lot of experiences from those who tell you "is it just this small thing you did that you are charging this amount" to those who just abscond without paying when they are stable. In as much as I agree with my colleagues that we go to same markets, same bills and so on....but in the case of emergency....to leave a patient to die because of funds is simply heartless...There is no justification for it....not even funds...at least stabilize him/her then refer them if you feel you can't bear the cost if they are unable to pay....to leave a patient to bleed to death because of money is unimaginable. I can't do it....even if there is a standing order by the hospital owner. How can I sleep at night?. I don't know how people do it. If we see every person who walk into the hospital as a relative , Our attitude will change. If this story is truly what transpired at the hospital....it is heartless....What stopped them from stabilizing the patient while waiting for money. No matter how we try to justify the hospital, their action is wrong if the story is true |

I can relate with the students. I was once under fg scholarship in cuba and on several occasions our grants were delayed for months. it took us on t.wo occasion s going to the embassy to hold them hostage for 2 days before the money appeared and on one instance destroyed things in the Embassy. the ambassador usually collaborate with d scholarship board to fix d money |
