Eye9ja understands that Degeneral was arrested on Tuesday night at his residence in Lekki, Lagos.

The comedian had gone live on Instagram before his arrest where he was seen confronting NDLEA officers at his residence.

A statement from the team on COVID-19 Vaccine Composition says it is important to ensure they are effective against Omicron and future variants.

The body of 18 experts was appointed by the United Nations (UN) health agency in September, 2021.

President Muhammadu Buhari has decried the state of security in Nigeria and blamed the pathetic situation on what he described as “undue politicization” of the security situation in the country.

President Buhari made this known while speaking on Tuesday, September 10, when he received promoters of the proposed African Security Leadership Summit at State House, in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Eye9ja reports that the President said no matter how much the revisionists try to distort history, “the records show where we were in terms of security in 2015, where we are now, and we also know where we want to be.”

Kenyan Rescuers resumed searching on Wednesday for a small aircraft that went missing one day earlier with 10 people on board.

The plane belongs to Kenyan safari airline Flysax, a subsidiary of Kenyan budget airline Fly 540, and went missing about 60 kilometres north of Nairobi over the Aberdare mountains on Tuesday.

Pius Masaai, the National Disaster Management spokesman, said bad weather had hindered the search, and that efforts suffered a setback when a Red Cross vehicle involved in the search collided with a lorry.

– The directive from the CPC was in compliance with the minimum standards in accordance with prevailing Regulations under Part 19, Nigerian Civil Aviation Rules (NCAR)

The management of Dana Airline has been directed to provide necessary logistics support to affected passengers on its Airline flight 9J0363, which skidded off the Port Harcourt airport runway during the late hours of Tuesday, February 20.

The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) made this directive in few hours after the incident that endangered 44 lives.

CPC in a statement by its Director-General, Babatunde Irukera, said he had contacted Dana Air’s management and had come to an understanding that the Airline would provide support and accommodation to the affected passengers.

An aircraft belonging to Dana Air on Tuesday, February 20, overshot the runway of the Port Harcourt Airport in the Rivers state capital after it touched down.

The aircraft, with number 9J0363, flew into Port Harcourt after taking off from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

According to reports, the aircraft was said to have moved past a specified point unintentionally, which could be as a result of too overspeeding or that the plane was unable to stop.

Air Peace flight P4 7002 from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, was on Saturday, February 18, suspended in the air for about 15 minutes as it wanted to land at the Akure airport runway.

The delay was caused by cows that thronged the runway, preventing the airline from landing. The aircraft had to hover for about 15 minutes so that the cows will be dispersed for the aircraft to land safely.

The Governor of Ekiti state, Mr. Ayodele Fayose who reacted to the incident on his twitter handle commended the pilot of the flight, Captain Inyang for saving the lives of the passengers.

This conclusion was reached after the regulatory authority reviewed all the reports from the relevant agencies concerning the incident.

Last week, there were reports that the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of an aircraft belonging to Air Peace, with flight number APK 7138 and 5N-BUJ as it aircraft number had alerted the Lagos control tower that the aircraft’s AFT cargo compartment had been opened.

Nigeria’s major carrier, Medview Airline has blamed Gatwick Airport limited (Gatwick) for it failure to airlift its Lagos-London passengers on Friday, January 26.

The airline maintained that its failure to airlift the passengers was as a result of the suspension of service of its handling company at Gatwick airport.

The airline said that it suspected sabotage by the handling company and concerned authorities at Gatwick who without proper notification suspended the service of the Nigerian carrier.

In a statement signed by the executive director, business development and commercial, Medview Airline, Isiaq Na-Allah, the operator said after the departure of its flight from Lagos to London on Wednesday, January 24, the airline was informed, although informally, that its handling company will not be providing services to its aircraft.

– According to the NCAA, all airports must abide by the given standards in accordance with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (NCAR)

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has threatened to close airports in Nigeria which did not meet given regulatory standards.

The Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Muhtar Usman made this disclosure while urging both the federal and state-owned airports to comply with the regulatory body to ensure standards across the airports in the country.

Usman mandated that all airports in Nigeria must abide by the given standards in accordance to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (NCAR), which is the domestication of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regulations.

The Director-General said that every airport must meet safety, security standards and must be able to enhance passenger facilitation.

“We will not allow any airport to continue to exist if it does not meet that given international standard. That is our own position.
