when dugbe was built before the independent I hope nothing like 5 storey building in entire east. The back of dugbe u posted was dated back over 100years which most of state in Nigeria were still forest . Oluyole, new bodija, Akobo, aerodrome, alabusosa , elebu, Jericho, agodi area etc are the new ibadan city which can stand with any state in Nigeria in term of beautiful and modern houses. Iyanganku and Alalubosa GRA are still one of the expensive area in Nigeria

I am not ibadan indigene but slums or no slums... Most of capital city in east are like 2 LGA area in Ibadan. All this brown roof area was pre colonial era civilization which during that time eastern region was still using grasses as roof. And they have large mass of land which make them neglected those area and still building modern structures in other axis. To let you know some land in Ibadan is above 100million naira for a plots eg Alalubosa gra and co. Aba is just like LGA in Ibadan and comparing Aba to ibadan is no no no. In every area of life no capital in east can stand with Ibadan in general development.

Uncountable research institute
Multinational companies eg p&g gt 2 plants alone in Ibadan even coca cola get almost 2 plants in Ibadan etc
