Documents are not heavy. She can carry as much documents that she feels is important to her case. I advice that all the documents are carefully arranged in a particular order for easy access incase the VO asks for any document.

She should focus more on how to explain the trip to the VO. Is it plainly for tourism or for an event? Also highlight her other ties to the VO. I personally don't think the "call to bar date" is a strong tie as such.

It's a tour organized by the students representative council which law school authority has endorsed. There are other people going for interview as well not just her. But my friend is currently doing her NYSC. The tour will be sponsored by her father and she is 23yrs.

A friend of mine has interview 6th of November. She just recently passed her law school exam and her date of call to bar is 29th of November. She intend traveling on 14th to return 21 before her call to bar date. Should she carry her call to bar invitation card and other
law school documents with her to the embassy to show she won't abscond and to prove her ties because she will surely return before her call to bar date. Suggestions please

A friend can't find the receipt number he used the last time in booking his appointment sometime in February. He needs it to book another appointment.. What should he do pls?

Please help a friend. He had an existing account before when he applied last year. He can't remember the email and password anymore. It was someone that applied for him and he has lost contact with the person. What do you advice he do now?

B1 visa is strictly for conference,workshop,seminar etc and you must honor the purpose of getting the visa before using it for tourism meaning you're free to use it for tourism/visit after using it as business visa first.

If you didn't attend the conference due to some reasons after the visa has been given to you, will it be okay you look for another conference to attend as a first timer, so you can use the visa for tourism purpose when next you're traveling.

Honestly, there's no bid deal about a Visa. You only feel there is if you ever get denied. The biggest deal is actually immigration control and making it into the US.

So I can actually travel to USA by December without any hindrance at the point of entry?

I can assure you but you can't just decide to convert a business visa to a visit visa just like that... my advice is for you to check when next another competition will take place even if it's before december because that's what you applied for.
Try to attend another competition.

I will not qualify for the competition by then because I would have been a graduate before the next competition. So what can I do so I will be able to make use of the 2 years visa because I will like to visit towards the end of the year

I'll suggest you send a mail to the US embassy for record purpose about the change of intent. And also maybe a mail to the competition organizers to let them know you won't be attending. It's all for record purpose. Just in case...

I was given 2 years visa to participate in a competition in USA from 12-18 but the dates of the competition will be clashing with my school exam. So I might not be able to go for the competition. I hope it won't affect me later when I intend to travel to USA by December this year for Xmas I don't want to be sent back at the point of entry USA because by then my motives of getting the visa will be different. How will I be able to defend myself so that I won't be deported at the point of entry. I am 23 years. I need answers please.
