Khufu, my man. Abeg tell them. I wonder why people always want to have their cake and eat it at the same time. Dont they know that everything in life comes at a price? An employer thinks its best you move up in life and some shout ALUTA. I wonder if that guy knows what it is to get a job in Nigeria. The price of a brand new car is one I'l be ready to pay any day. 1 luv |
My people, this whole thing with Access Bank is not a joke at all. I however think we are not looking at the flip side of it. Yes, the bank makes it difficult for ETs to leave them before the expiration of two years and the cars are compulsory, but If I were the MD of the coy, I would probably do the same. Imagine spending a whole lot to train your staff for upwards of 4 months only to have them snatched up by other banks. The way I see it, there is some form of job security here cos before the bank thinks of laying off any staff, they will ask themselves how the staff is going to pay off all monies owed. Besides, who says you cannot sell the car and pay off imediately or purchase the car of your choice. I see a whole lot of possibilities here and i say those dudes are lucky. I hear that staff leaving the bank are usually given two steps above the normal level at other banks cos of the training received and the amount of work done in a very professional atmopsphere. I'l take the chance if i were given and join the train. Peace |
Guy, just as the other guy said, BE FAST. I did not read for it but i managed to score 45%.I just wasnt fast enuf to finish the questions. All the questions are basically common sense questions, so have ur thinking cap on. The comprehension aspect might turn out to be the most difficult cos u have long passages to read before answering. The best way to deal with them is to read the questions first before relating them to the necessary parts of the passages, then JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION. Dont bother trying to read meanings, just pick the part of the passage that relates to the question as the answer. PERIOD. Just remember, BE VERY FREAKING FAST |
Guys, I cant thank u enuf. The interview went well and i have even gone for their medicals. The big man only asked about my family background and what I knew about access. He was obviously impressed with my answers. What baffles me is dat they seemed to be very interested in our family backgrounds cos everybody was asked about it. It was almost as if our backgrounds were the determining factors. Anyways, right now i do not know if I am really interested in Access.I already have a job, only that it doesnt pay as well as the bank but the prospects are there.I am giving myself till Friday to make up my mind. Tanks again |
Viperman, tanks man. Hitman, i did my interview like 2 weeks ago.It was my first interview and so i was surprised when i got the invitation to see the MD. anyways, na so e be. |
my brother, b4 u blow just have in mind that all that glitters is not gold.Everyone mite be travelling but they do not tell u exactly what they see out there. The hustle ther is worse than home cos every dollar made must be planned and accounted for.If u go for studies u will definitly have to work to stay in school and meet ur needs and pray that their taxes dont wreck u.Meanwhile, u could work in Naija and not bother bout taxes which are minimal. Moreover, there are other dangers out their like racism and terrorism which make life a bit scary.Theres no place like home.I would advice u to secure urself here first, by working for a few more years and studying here. That way u will only have to travel out for holidays, if u like. However, if its possible that u have a full-proof arrangement for urself out there, then do urself a fovour and go, but if not enjoy ur job and try to pursue ur studies here.Safe |
I was invited for an interview with the MD of Access bank tomorrow by 2pm.Does anyone in the house have any tips for me?Its kinda urgent. |
My man, no slack o.As an urban & regional planner,ur sis could apply for consulting jobs, banking jobs, construction, business development, project management and those related to facilities management. There are even some private but small firms that make use of graphic designers, a category in which planners also belong.Do not wait for an advert specifically requesting for planners. Besides I think ur sis should have developed herself (thats if she hasnt) over the years by acquiring any of these: AutoCAD training, HSE certificate, Project management training, GIS compliance etc If after these the jobs are still not forthcoming, then self employment is the way forward.I studied the same course and I have not been unemployed for one day.I'v moved from a bank to the university where i work presently.Life is what u make of it.Ur sis just has to become more like a hustler.Cheers |
Ivvie, it seems u want us to continue quibbling over words. Well, my acura honda is still an acura honda.I call it an acura honda cos its a honda brand. They come out of the same plant and are variants of each other. That explains the similarities between cars like Honda legend and Acura legend. Its nice to know that I influenced u into carrying out some research. So if nomenclature was the problem, u or sultaan could have simply asked nicely, not resort to the ITK posture.Consequently, I think the apology should come from both o' y'all. Im only here to sell and so I would rather spend my time talking with serious car buyers who are more concerned bout the value of the goods than the nomenclature.Take no offense my brother, it is what it is. |
All I'll say at this time is , Nice pictures |
By the way, I think a word of advice should be offered Ivvie.Know that even the greatest sage reduces himself to the most stupid person, the day he assigns himself the status of the ALL-KNOWING. If u identify with such peops, then u equate urself wit them. R u sure ur friend knows what he claims to know bout honda cars? I will make sure u have a chance of seeing the ride urself when it gets here. Meanwhile, BE CAREFUL WHO U CHOOSE AS UR FREINDS. One luv dawg |
This goes out to u know who.One relies on the rep of the other and still claims to have knowledge. This is simply a case of a blind man leading another blind man.May God help us on this forum cos ignorance is knocking on the doors of nairaland.I rest my case. |
Viper, I no vex o.If I vex, I will make sure those dudes will see me in their dreams.lol ![]() |
I have a word or two for Sultaan and Ivvie. Ignorance is a very bad disease. It gets even worse when one tries to educate the ignorant but finds himself hampered by baseless obstacles. Dat both o' y'all have not heard of the ride does not mean it dont exist. I wonder what village u come from. The ride stares u rite in the face, still u open ur gutters and talk baldadash.Instead of stopping there, u have the guts to write it down.I seriously pity u guys cos u r not even buyers but window shoppers.Pls get a life and , stay off this thread. ![]() |
Vindylomo, all I can tell you is that people bring in cars through different means and the cost varies. For me it doesnt cost that much and it can take up to two months or less to get to Lagos depending on where it is coming from.Is it that u want me to bring the ride in for you?If dats the case, then call me. Safe |
Tushman, If u mean business, then call me on 08067124234 so we can arrange a meet and talk one on one. |
Bigozz, Im sorry its a NO.But as soon as it gets here I'll let you know in case u r still interested. |
Sultaan-If u aint buying stop window shopping.D acura honda is a lot like the honda legend but you wouldnt know that, would you? |

Guys, I'm new here and I dont like to be sentimental. Its clear from historical facts that the best schools are those that have produced the best graduates, boast of standard facilities, the best lecturers/professors and have been around for quite awhile. If most of y'all are current u'll know already that I'm talking about the great University of Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Ibadan.B4 y'all start to quibble over words just take a look around, u'll find that about 99% of the genuses and great personalities who have made things happen and are still making things happen in this country are from these gret citadels of learning.I believe these three are on the same pedestal and deserve some respect. So pls, folks, rest your case. |
