A non governmental organisation, Handel pro-bono link and empowerment foundation has said that treating people in prison with justice and fairness will always has a ripple effect that can helps us to build safer and fairer communities, and promised to assist ex-convict in their quest to reintegrate into society, by helping them to secure free legal services, jobs access, skills, education, and other necessities for them.

The founder of the foundation, Barr Christy Oboh said this during a seminar organized by the foundation with the theme "Enhancing Collaboration for Quick Access to justice in decongestion of Correctional services (centres) in Nigeria". to discuss issues that concerns inmates, justice, security so as to see how they can profer solutions to their challenges.

Oboh said where an ex-offender does not have access to a good reintegration plan, the tendency of reoffending in the face of the challenges of rejection by family and friends, stigmatisation and no means of livelihood and lack of shelter, there is every tendency for re-offending, and this must not be overlooked if we must secure a safe society for all.

According to her, discharged prisoners just like any other Nigerians have the potential of contributing to the socio-political and economic growth of the country but such is dependent on the quality and success of their reintegration process, adding that its disheartening to see government parastatals stating in job application form asking if you're an ex-convict and of course if your answer is yes, you will be denied of that job, this shouldn't be do, she said.

She advocated for a just and fair prison system that treats people with consistency, impartiality and respect, a place where conflict is resolved and people have the opportunity to turn their lives around and recognises that punishment is imposed by the courts, and not by the prison, she reiterated the commitment of the foundation to volunteer in assisting indigent inmates who can not afford the services of lawyers because it's their constitutional rights to have lawyers represent them in court even if they don't have the money to pay for such services.

According to her, Handel pro-bono link and empowerment foundation is a non governmental organisation formed by young lawyers to assist the indigent inmates in the Correctional centres or detention who can not afford to pay for their own legal fee even when the need the legal services to give them justice that they deserves.

In his key note address, the General Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). Mr. Adesina Adegbite, pointed out causes of decongestion in Correctional centres as delayed justice by the courts, perpetuated by judges, illegal arrests perpetuated by the police, inability of Correctional services indigent inmates to afford services of legal representative and many more reasons.

He suggested ways to decongest the centres by calling on courts to speed up the justice process, counselling the police against illegal arrests and praised the efforts of HANDEL offering Pro-bono services to indigent inmates. He contended that all the effort enumerated could go a long way to decongest the prisons.

Speaking, Alfa Mohammed Esq, Vice President, HPLEF said Handel PROBONO-LINKS has come a long way in the course of providing free legal services to indigent members of the society, especially the inmates in the correctional facilities within its catchment area, Kuje correctional center.

Regrettably, lack of funding has been our major constraints. Going from one court to the other on daily basis requires a lot of funding, and we don't have funders yet.

Therefore, provision of government grants to the NGO will help a lot.

Similarly, admitting the NGO as partners by stakeholder Ministerial, Departmental and Agencies like the offices of Inspector General of the police, the Attorney General of the Federation and the FCT respectfully, as well as the Minister of Interior, amongst others would make our job easier.

Romance / Be Gender-responsive In Your Reportage, NGO Tasks Nigerian Journalists by Leadership86(f): 3:02pm On Jun 24, 2022
Be gender-responsive in your reportage, NGO tasks Nigerian journalists

The Gender Strategy Advancement International (GSAI), a non-profit organisation, has called on Nigerian journalists to take decisive commitment by being gender-responsive in their reportage.

Ms Adaora Onyechere, Executive Director, GSAI, made the call at a two-day capacity building workshop for reporters and editors of various media organisations on Thursday in Abuja.

The event has its theme as “Media Independence to Promote Women’s Economic Inclusion and Gender Accountability in Governance”.

The event also has the support of MacArthur Foundation and the Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism.

Onyechere said the event, which is a ‘train the trainees’ workshop aimed at pushing for policies that affect women to be implemented and ensuring that the government were held accountable to gender issues.

“This training is put together to get the media to ask the right questions when it comes to gender inclusion and under this matter, we just launched our baseline report.

“Which revealed that statistics of women from 1999 till date, in governance, in politics and the way government has tailored their gender budget has totally been null and void.

“For a population that has over 49.2 per cent of women in population, being disenfranchised not only during politics and also in the economy, it is a serious problem.

“And there is a need for evaluating and looking at what government has done about that so far, which has become very important,” she said.

The executive director also added that the 35 per cent affirmative action must be taken seriously by government at all levels by ensuring that women are given appointive positions.

Mr Ezenwa Nwagwu, Convener, Say No Campaign, said laws coming from the legislative chambers should be gender-driven and implementation must be adhered with.

“For appointive positions, there must be discretions. At that point, you have to be balanced and there should be no discrimination.

“Gender issues does not end with women alone, it is about boys, girls, women and men in a lens that ensures that everything is equitable and just.

“We are going to have conversations with political parties, to create more seats in parliaments.

“For instance, there should be certain seats that should be given to persons living with disabilities, women and marginalised groups,” he said.

A participant at the workshop, Ms Diana Omueza, a correspondent with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) appreciated the group for the training, adding that it had exposed her to be gender-sensitive in her reportage.

She called on her colleagues in the media to be responsible in their reportage, as they have the greatest responsibility to give marginalized groups a voice.

Another participant, Mr Emmanuel Ehijene, a reporter with Plus TV Africa, said the training had made him to understand the plights of the marginalised and he has learnt how to approach gender-based issues as he carries out his duties.

Group Calls On Party Delegates To Be Prudent, Eschew Personal Temptations

Blessing Bature, Abuja

The Grassroot Mobilisation Initiative for Good Governance at a situation assessment meeting held in Abuja on Monday called on party delegates to be prudent with candidates selection and eschew personal temptations and place the nation's interest and the future of our children above every other consideration.

The Chairman, Board Of Trustees, Mr. Joseph Yobo disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja that delegates must avoid costly adventures that would end up producing incompetent and inept political leaders who will continue to exploit the people, thereby thriving on emotional-driven courses, sowing seed of communal discord, causing divisions and leaving the people more insecured and impoverished.

Yobo noted that the rising level of desperation particularly for the various parties presidential tickets was highlighted that the usual desperate efforts being exerted by politicians to gain the support of their party delegates by every means and tactics, including compromise through financial seduction is at an alarming high.

According to him, With the emerging trends in the country that are pregnant with complications and unforeseen consequences, it has become imperative to call the attention of all the various party delegates as to whom responsibility would ultimately lie if democracy and the future of Nigerian children become endangered.

He said, this is important and urgent as already, the presidential nominating contests in the two major parties: the ruling All Progrossives Congress (APC) and main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are causing apprehension to the extent that they may not vote competent nominees who are credible and efficiently ready to govern or even represent the interests of majority of the parties' supporters.

"We are thus compelled by decent patriotism and love of country and fellow citizenship to act quickly to call the attention of delegates in all the parties to the need for caution, extra prudence and vigilance in the discharge of the solemn responsibility of selecting credible candidates to be presented to the Nigerian voters".

Also Speaking, The National Coordinator, Samaila Musa, It is important to point out here that the fate of the entire country and future of democracy is solely dependent on the manner in which the party delegates discharge the candidate selection role entrusted in them.

"As they go about discharging this trust, they must bear in mind that Nigerian voters would at the end of the day be left with no option than to be bound to the limited space for choice among the only alternatives presented for them irrespective of their credibility and merit or the lack of same".

"Their actions should particularly be guided by the reality that the peoples trust in the government is at a historical low. Often times elections may not deliver the kind of political leaders the people need. Yet, governance in a democracy is still considered the preferred system which is why primary elections by political parties must place sufficient emphasis on evaluating nominees with an eye toward competence at governing and strong vision for the Nation's future".

"We caution the delegates to bear in mind that every action(s), they take today, will not go unnoticed and in the fullness of time, they will be called to account for the consequences of their commission or omission".

The Honourable minister of Humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar-Farouq who disclosed this on Thursday on the celebration of international day of families, theme "Families and Urbanization".

Farouq said one of the major challenges facing families is the problem of domestic violence, especially gender based violence, adding that we need to address the violence within our families and be good role models for our children.

She noted in order to mark the families day, the ministry of humanitarian affairs initiated various programs and activities towards uplifting the living standards and well-being of the families.

According to her, communities must promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. People with disabilities form part of families and communities and they have a right to be heard, to be understood and to evolve like everyone else. The marginalisation of people with disabilities limits their potential to contribute to society.

The minister re-emphasise the need for families and communities to support and protect people with disabilities, adding people with disabilities are members of families who are mostly neglected in terms of care and understanding. These family members sometimes are ostracised by their siblings such that they end up living in absolute poverty due to lack of socio-economic support.

At a Psychosocial Support and Integration of Victims of Drug and Substance Abuse held at NDLEA Rehabilitation Facility in Gudu, Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister Sadiya Umar Farouq said that the objective of the collaboration is to free the society from the scourge of drugs and substance abuse which has caused untold misery to individuals and families.

SA media to the minister, Nneka Ikem Anibeze said in a statement that the Minister who was represented by the Director Humanitarian Affairs Department, Alhaji Ali Grema stated that the federal government is determined to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of a free drug society.

“This meeting is part of our commitment to deal with the menace and issues surrounding drug abuse and provide an avenue for the expression of collaborative commitment of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development with the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency to combat the problem in all its forms.

“As a Ministry charged with the responsibility of Social Development, we want to begin a process of focusing on the socio- economic challenges faced by the clients of illicit drugs and substance abuse, not only in Abuja but throughout the federation”.

The Minister called on youths in particular to refrain from abusing drugs and other harmful substances as they are injurious to health with potentials of destroying their future.
Umar Farouq noted that the most effective tool to combat drug use is to strengthen prevention programmes and treatment for victims.

“In view of this, the Ministry will provide National Social Investment Programme opportunities for victims under rehabilitation by the NDLEA. Clients will undergo training in their various choice skills and will be equipped with starter packs for easy integration into the society”.

Earlier, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA Brig. Gen. Mohaammed Buba Marwa (Rtd) OFR who was represented by the Agency’s Secretary, Barrister Shedrack Haruna described the programme as laudable and the first of its kind.

“The use of psychoactive substances such as alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine as well as prescription medications exert tremendous toll on the individual, families and the society. Substance abuse affects the physical, social and psychological levels of the user and family members.
“Findings from the National Drug Use Survey (2018) conducted by UNODC reviewed that 14.3 million Nigerians aged 15-64 years had used psychoactive substances in the past year for non- medical purposes. More worrisome is that out of this figure, about 370,000 Nigerians have drug use disorder and in every 4 drug users in Nigeria, 1 is a woman.

“Globally, there is a shift in drug policy which sees drug as a public health issue. Therefore, reducing the demand for drugs depends to a large extent on the successful treatment and reintegration of people who use drugs”.

“Also, we were determined and we set deadline for the northern zonal consultation with stakeholders. It was a fruitful consultation with eight categories from the representatives of 19 states in the Northernn Zone plus the FCT.

“We went to Lagos and had 17 states represented. We also had the NSCC Private Sector Roundtable where we harvested so much ideas. The inputs have been harmonised.

” Ageing is a cross cuttingg issue; no one organisation can adequately address the issues of ageing. There are different dimensions to the challenges that the senior ctizens face.

“There are issues around health, livelihood, income, security and all the different domains that we have been seeing since we started this conversation,” Mistapha said.

The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that after the draft of the document, it would be validated by Civil Society Oganisations and expanded stakeholders, before passing it to the board of the centre and other processes.

Blessing Bature-Akpakpan, Abuja

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has commenced the payment of outstanding allowances of batch A and B of the 2016 and 2018 N-Power volunteers nationwide.

According to a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja Friday by the Permanent Secretary, Bashir Nura Alkali, N150,000.00 each will be paid to 9,066 volunteers, representing 5 months allowances, while the allowances 4,955 volunteers will be withheld, pending conclusion of further investigation.

The statement reads: “Following the payment system challenges faced by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, which has been overcome, the Ministry has commenced the final payment of the arrears on the few outstanding allowances of Batches A and B N Power volunteers.

The accounts of these 14,021 volunteers were flagged in March 2020 by the Federal Government payment system, the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS), for various reasons including but not limited to: beneficiaries having multiple accounts, beneficiaries account receiving other payments such as salaries and allowances from multiple Federal Government Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) on permanent employment or for participating in other schemes. These acts violate the regulations guiding the N-Power volunteer programme and could amount to gross misconduct and corruption.

"The Ministry carried out detailed investigation in collaboration with relevant government MDAs and so far the accounts of 9,066 volunteers were cleared for final payment. Based on this reality, the 5 months allowance arrears of these volunteers, totaling N150,000.00 each, is currently being paid. The allowances of the remaining 4,955 is withheld pending conclusion of further investigation. Where clear violations of the agreements are established, such violators will be subjected to appropriate sanctions as stipulated by the law.

"Contrary to some insinuations in the public domain, this process is a clear demonstration of the Ministry’s resolve to address this unfortunate incidence in a transparent manner for accountability and to forestall its future occurrence. As it has consistently maintained, the investigation caried out by the Ministry is in the best interest of the Country and has the major goal of institutionalizing the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) and ensuring its efficient management in line with Mr President’s resolve to ensure transparency and accountability in its implementation at all times.

"The Ministry regrets the delays experienced in concluding this process, but assures the public that transparency and accountability cannot be compromised in all its activities."

GEEP: A Look At the Impact of the Relief Loans on Beneficiaries

The Nigerian National Bureau of Statistics said in 2020 that 40% or 83 million Nigerians live in poverty. Although Nigeria’s poverty profile for 2021 has not yet been released, it is estimated that the number of poor people will increase to 90 million, or 45% of the population in 2022 Blessing Bature-Akpakpan seeks to explicate the efforts of President Buhari led-administration at addressing the challenges of credit and financial inclusion for over 37 million Nigerians at the base of the pyramid who are involved in active commercial activity but have never had the opportunity to access loans.

In the last four years, GEEP has so far provided incremental loans of between N10,000 and N300,000 to about 2.3 million beneficiaries who are traders, artisans, enterprising youth, agricultural workers and other micro-service providers; under it's flagship Programmes tradermoni, marketmoni and farmermoni.

The Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) is an initiative by the Federal Government of Nigeria to provide financial inclusion and access to micro-credit for Nigerians at the bottom of the economic pyramid. It aims at providing capital to beneficiaries in an easily accessible way to grow their business and on-board these beneficiaries into the formal financial system through bank accounts, mobile wallets, and formal identities.

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in April 2020 activated the GEEP infrastructure for the purpose of providing urgent micro loans to petty traders and artisans nationwide to cushion the economic hardships of COVID-19. Recall that GEEP is the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, one of the social intervention programmes, comprising TraderMoni, MarketMoni and FarmerMoni, and executed by the Bank of Industry. GEEP is a completely digitised programme where all eligible traders are captured into a database, verified via phone and facial recognition technology, and receive disbursements in mobile wallets.

The Programme was designed to give access to credit for poor and vulnerable people who are at the bottom of the economic pyramid this includes persons living with disability , the target beneficiaries will be people who are already engaged in business enterprises such as traders, artisans, enterprises (MSMEs) in furtherance of poverty eradication, Empowerment generation, growth and development of MSMEs throughout the federal republic of Nigeria.

These urgent micro loans are reaching 1,000,000 petty traders and artisans nationwide. Small and micro enterprises at the bottom of the economic pyramid have been hit hardest by lockdown restrictions. These micro loans are to cushion the income losses experienced during the lockdown.
All 1,000,000 traders benefitting from new GEEP loans nationwide, as well as all existing beneficiaries have a 3-month moratorium on their loans, as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

GEEP simply means Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program. It is a program introduced by the Buhari-led administration as part of the government’s mission to provide financial power to all qualified citizens of the country. Since the introduction of the program in 2016, many Nigerians have benefited from it and more are still expected to enjoy this financial aid later in the year.

A number of beneficiaries shared their relief at getting these loans, just at a time when they weren’t sure how to restart their various businesses, due to a loss of income over the past months.

Sharing his testimony on GEEP, Segun Ogungbero who is an artisan in Ogbomosho said he couldn’t access a micro-credit interest-free loan before GEEP that can boost his carpentry business but the arrival of GEEP however has enabled him an ordinary Nigerian artisan access to such facilities for the growth of his small business.

Also, Haruna Mohamed a farmer in Kano State couldn’t access credit facilities that can enable him purchase fertilizers and seedling for his farm and Chinyere a mother of three in Aba, couldn’t access loans that will help her acquire more textile products for her clothing business and appreciated president Buhari for coming up with this initiatives to cater for the needs of the Vulnerables.

For the past five (5) years, the GEEP programme has been able to target, and deliver credit to over 2.3 million people under the MSMEs demographic using Biometrics, Bank Verification Number (BVN) as digital collateral, mobile data capture and mobile wallets.

It was indeed a sight to behold when in 2019, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo traversed markets across the country personally handing out loans to traders.

However, with poverty alleviation programmes as well as social development programmes now under the purview of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, the Ministry in the past two years of its existence, have effectively taken over and streamlined these programmes.

In line with President Buhari administration’s revolutionary mission of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in the next ten years.

The Ministry has thus come up with GEEP 2.0, as a revamped and restructured version of the programme, GEEP 2.0 effectively expands its scope while unbundling the constituency of under-privileged and most vulnerable people by targeting particular segments.

Under GEEP 2.0 TraderMoni will give special attention to empowering under-privileged and marginalized youths who lack access to education, orphans, the disabled and abandoned out-of-school children, FarmerMoni will now promote agro-entrepreneurship by supporting farmers engaged in crop cultivation, livestock, poultry and fisheries while MarketMoni will empower marginalized women such as widows, divorcees, women in the Internally Displaced Camps, women who are bread-winners of their families and other women with entrepreneurial skills.

During the official launch of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program (GEEP 2.0), the Minister of Humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq said GEEP programme is a veritable tool designed to end poverty which targets the unbanked poor and vulnerable but skilled population that have always been left out on credit delivery programmes and is directed at providing soft and affordable loans to finance their businesses.

"Essentially, GEEP 2.0 is a continuation of the Buhari administration’s laudable empowerment drive committed to the upliftment of oppressed Nigerians we hope the programme will engender job creation, poverty alleviation, youth empowerment as well as enrich entrepreneurial skills acquisition amongst vulnerable groups.

Consequently upon taking up the reins of affairs over 6-years ago, President Muhammadu Buhari showed purposeful leadership and his empowerment drive by catering to this segment of the society, when in 2016 the Government Enterprise & Empowerment Programme (GEEP) was established under the National Social Investments Programmes (NSIP).

Farouq said so far over 12 million households has benefited from National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) and President Buhari has given gracious approval to the expansion and provide loans to an additional 1,000,000 beneficiaries, with emphasis to targeting small holder farmers in the year 2020/2021 across the country that the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Program (GEEP 2.0).

GEEP 2.0 is well coordinated and has an implementation model that accommodates representation at the Federal, State and Local Government levels. Part of the new strategies include an increase in the loan portfollo of TraderMon/ and Market Moni loans from N10,000.00 to N50,000.00, while the FarmerMoni is now N300,000 along with the provision of value chain and creation of digitat marketplace (E-platform) for beneficiaries to sell their products.
The minister said the GEEP currently remain the main driving force behind the poverty reduction in Nigeria and appreciate His Excellency, the Vice-President of federal Republic of Nigeria, whose office commenced the implementation of the NSIP. Without that solid foundation, we are able to transit to the current levels of implementation smoothly.

She called on all Nigerians who are specially targeted by the NSIP and indeed the GEEP to please take advantage of all that the programme offers so that the vision of Mr. President of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in 2030 will unfailingly be accomplished.

The federal government of Nigeria has disclosed that over 12 million households has benefited from National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) and President Buhari has given gracious approval to the expansion and provide loans to an additional 1,000,000 beneficiaries, with emphasis to targeting small holder farmers in the year 2020/2021 across the country.

The Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo passed a vote of confidence on the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Development and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq on effective implementation of GEEP.

The Vice President who was represented by the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, said: “The GEEP is a baby of the presidency handed over to Madam Humanitarian to nurture and I have been asked to let you know that you have the full backings of their Excellences and the full confidence that you are up to the task of reaching out to the majority of the poor people in our country and alleviating their conditions.

“For many of us who live in the cities may not know the great impacts this programme is having on our people, many are in the villages whose annual income are not up to N10,000. So reaching out to them and extending a hand of fellowship is a major contribution to reducing poverty in our country. The focus is on the poor, if we don’t provide for them, inclusiveness would have failed in our bid to take them away from poverty.

“By reducing poverty, we are reducing diseases, we are banishing banditry, we would have succeeded in taking millions of our youths out of the reach of recruiters of terrorism; we would have attacked ignorance, we would have reduced mortality we would have unleashed the creativity of our people, as well as their enterprise which Nigerians are known for all over the world, Prof Osinbajo said.

On his part, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SSGF), Boss Mustapha who disclosed that over N400 billion is being spent annually on the implementation of NSIPs, applauded the role being played by the Ministry towards emancipating Nigerian youths, women and vulnerable groups across the country.

FG Commences National Multidimensional Poverty Index Survey

Blessing Bature-Akpakpan, Abuja

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has announced the official kickoff of the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Survey.

The humanitarian affairs minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq made the announcement during the MPI Survey virtual launched on Tuesday.

The SA media Nneka Ikem Anibeze said in a statement that the minister said on the occasion, that Nigeria has joined many countries that have moved towards improving the efficiency of their decision-making processes through the evidence generated by MPI.

“The consensus around the use of the MPI emerges from different approaches and global agreements, including the Millennium Development Goal (MDGs), which has been replaced by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to cover the multiple aspects of deprivation at the core of poverty and their inter-linkages.

“It is therefore an honour to join other strong voices to highlight the importance of multi-stakeholder engagements on poverty eradication, zero hunger, quality education, climate action and inclusion, all of which are central to the evidence generated by the MPI”.

Farouq noted that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has successfully empowered more than 10 million people out of extreme poverty through the many initiatives of Government, including the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), GEEP, Npower, NHGSFP and many more.

“This aspiration takes into cognizance the country’s current estimated population of about 200 million people, as well as the need for better evidence for programming.

She said “the ministry therefore, stands ready to collaborate with different government agencies, donor organisations and private investors to shape policies and drive real impact in the use of MPI data to foster government accountability to citizens through improved multi-sectoral interventions targeted at the root of deprivations.

“In addition, the ministry will collaborate closely with the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) to conduct regular multidimensional poverty measurements alongside monetary measures at both national and sub-national levels to ascertain the true poverty status of Nigeria and use the findings to shape policy and programming”.

The Ministry will partner with private sector actors using the special purpose vehicle of Social Investments to create a National and State poverty map/tracker which will help provide progress towards poverty reduction goals and will also collaborate with the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning using MPI data to improve budget allocations by sector and State in order to target individuals, communities and areas needing dire attention.

The minister thanked the World Bank Group, UNDP, OPHI, UNICEF, the High Commission of Canada, and other bilateral and multi-lateral bodies for their support towards eradicating extreme poverty by 2030.
