After installing this apps didn’t open. What do I do?

Allow it to complete. The W icon there is MS Office. After installation, if you cannot find it, do this;
1. Press these key combination Windows + R
(windows button and letter R together)
2. In the provided box, type in winword.exe
3. Press Enter button.

It it says not found, then it is not yet installed, otherwise, you are good to go. As it supposed to open Ms Word.

Thanks man. I was able to get the msword. How do I get other installed apps and make them visible? That process was completed

The keyboard could contribute to that, changing it, installing another ram and upgrading your windows will solve your problem. But if you must get a system, get a higher one. Unless you just intend having something different from what you have always had, otherwise there's no wisdom in disposing yours just to have that.

How much do you think this will cost? And my laptop doesn’t have Bluetooth as well. Infact the middle where you move cursor seizes at times lol. And I need a system asap

Funny enough, theirs no much difference between this laptop and yours, all you need to do is upgrade the ram to 4gigs and change the keyboard and you're good.

Mine lags at times before coming on though but is it worth me getting?

The price is okay, infact it seems a little low self.
You might wanna scrutinize it for possible faults.

Thanks. Because the guy posted 38 on Nairaland and when I whatsapped him he said 30k that’s the last price. Said it was cleared from wolf in Lagos and it’s a uk used. Will go to the office to get it Incase of anything I know his office and get receipt

Yeah this one is real nice.
You could upgrade to windows 10 if you want.

Thanks a lot man
Lastly is the price for it less than or greater than? Thanks
Computers / Re: Who Sells Or Swap Laptop Here by Learn1: 3:26pm On Jul 30, 2020
Rgade:

Yup it's a good system at the price.
But it boils down to what you want to use it for.
It can comfortably handle everyday computing, but definitely not high performance like gaming, video editing etc.

Ok soo do I consider this one a bed in hand if I get it? grin
And hope it’s not old and outdated too. Not for gaming

32-bit OS sad×
Op your system is all shades of old and outdated.
Which working laptop are you hoping to swap it for and in that shape too.
You need to save up money quickly and sell off this one ASAP before it gets any older.
Stop considering that laptop as a bird in hand.

Somebody is offering this one to me for sale. Is it worth it?

go and read that message again

Yeah. If I got the job at a place where I probably won’t pay rent or transport i would have managed it. But it’s in a place where I have to do everything myself. I understand your view and it’s baffling that you don’t see anything wrong in the 30k and rent and t fare is about 14k. How about feeding? Or emergency funds? Lol
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Advice Me. Should I Accept The Job? by Learn1: 7:08pm On Jul 28, 2020
na2016:

you need this job to learn so many things, dealing with people, managing your resources, planning, being independent, specialist software that may become very useful in the future etc. The money could be the last thing, but do you know your next job(bigger job) could be from someone you meet at this firm through relationships and connection you make there? Most of the time, learn to look beyound the money. As a fresh graduate from a Nigeria public University, you dont really have skills, you learn those and atimes you can learn some of these at this place.

The position is same thing with what I did at ppa nysc. Being independent and all that I learnt that since uni days. But man you not looking at the fact that I won’t be able to survive on that money? I will certainly beg before month end if I take the job lol and definitely not performing efficiently. How about saying better options are waiting for me at the front? Lol if you have an offer for me I will take it up man.

If the job has future prospects and it's related to your discipline...hang in there (your focus should be more on gaining experience)...money will always fall in place when you build yourself

It’s related to my discipline. But see transport fare alone is 6k monthly rent is 8k/month. Very funny lol.

I wish you will even listen to people who are far ahead of you. guy i have walked this road over 9 years ago, so when I talk, listen to me. The 30K job isnt bad for you to pick and start. You can give one thousand reasons not to pick it but I can also give you more reasons you should pick that poor job than stay at home

Ok then. The job is a mon-fri 8-5 and could require traveling. Transport a month is 6k and rent is 8k/month. This is a place where I don’t have family or friends. Other bills haven’t been added. I will really like you sir to tell me why I should take the job. I’m a novice. And also don’t conclude I’m going to sit at home.

Lol typical Nigerian justifying the pay. You could be the kind of person that pays a graduate such amount. Weee your eyes closed when I said relevant skills? Soo Microsoft isn’t relevant to the job? Aside other personal skills I’ve developed overtime? I shouldn’t have replied you

As far as I am concern, Mircosoft word and other word applications are not skills. They are like "drinking water".
In your posts you have given me two red flags about yourself. 1) going legit 2) soft skills

Did you see where I said going legit means office job? Because I didn’t say white collar job? Soo being proficient in things like excel is like drinking water? Keep drinking your water man. And keep looking for points to critique

Bros mi good morning. Let me first say this there is hardly easy-to-get jobs that can take care of your bills.
I studied BSc Accounting, graduated in 2014 with Second Class Upper, and I went for my professional (ANAN) 2017-2018.
Personally I started with a firm that paid me 20k in 2018 (honestly I started going there expecting nothing coz i had skills that brought me money and paid my bills) I offered to go there to start getting experience in the field of auditing since I wasn't employed. So I told my boss that on Thu rsday and Friday I wouldn't be coming to work because I do go for my personal hustle(and honestly he agreed).

You can accept the offer and tell the person if you have other sources of income. So that you can get experience on the job and still take care of your bills as well.

Thanks. This particular job is a 8-5 mon-fri job. And transport daily is 300. What do you think? Lol

Pick the job while you look for something better. Is it not better than nothing? That period will not be vacant on your CV and you can easily pick some of your bills instead of depending on someone.
you mentioned relevant skills, I ask you , what skill do you really have?

The job is a 8-5 mon-fri kind of job and might require traveling too. What makes you feel I wouldn’t get a better offer now and take this in the name of that period won’t be vacant in your cv? Rent here is 8k/month. Microsoft and other soft skills

But you had opportunity to grow right? And flexible schedule and less bills right?

If you have nothing else, take the job and still continue your side hustle...You are not doing the job for 30k but for experience, exposure and connect........Right now I would take a job that pays like 50k just to meet people and get exposure although I know I already earn 10-15 times more than that every month on my freelance/side hustle/investments...And yet, I still don't have a degree or nysc yet to to covid19 holding back school and my results being released for clearance....So yea take the job I guess but If it starts to over stress you out, my brother quit, if it starts to give you losses, meaning your transport, feeding, other things surpass the 30k month because of the job, then leave it.

Lol you still didn’t state if you will help me in learning the freelancing. Staying here I won’t be able to do side hustle as it’s a 8-5 mon-fri job. And if I take it definitely I will be a debtor lol

I remember my first job after NYSC. The pay wasnt much. I have a good grade and wanted more. It was a one man's business. I was used and over used but I got the best training . The training got me another job which paid five times more. Today I am using the skills I acquired from that job to start my own business. Sometimes you need the experience and exposure to get a better job or to move on.

Your pay then in comparison to 30k today which is better? Lol. Why I considered not taking it actually was because growth here is limited because it isn’t an industrial town
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Advice Me. Should I Accept The Job? by Learn1: 9:38am On Jul 28, 2020
ucosuagwu:

With 2.1 and NYSC?? 30k is an insult..Develop a freelance skill instead and get better at it, you can earn up to 200 300k per month or more trust me, I am very well on this table.

Also...This one you are saying going legit?? bros were you into illegal things?

Going legit meant office job lol. Can you please put me through the freelancing?

the only bill not included is House rent but feeding, data sub,t.fare, nepa bill are included.
I even have a colleague collecting same as i do that rents a house .
At this stage you need to know your priorities.
I had to drop most of my Girlfriends who are cash centred and many frivolities ,this is my life.

And the location is Lagos right? That’s why i don’t think I will accept it. Because here opportunities are limited
