I am humbled by the growing interest of those asking that I run for the Office of President in the 2023 general elections: I have not come to that decision. I note and salute the sacrifices of those farmers and patriots going as far as raising personal funds and offering me Presidential Nomination Forms: I thank them most profusely. However, Should I answer their calls and decide to seek presidential nomination, I will use my own hard earned savings from over 35 years of banking leadership to buy my own Nomination Forms, 2/4 without proxies in an open and transparent manner in full compliance with the laws and Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria. And should I not run for elected office, 3/4 I will continue to serve and sacrifice for the good people of Nigeria under the able leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari. This is a serious decision that requires God’s Divine intervention: in the next few days The Almighty will so direct. 4/4

Jorim Okello said he fell in love with Irene Rono, a Form Four leaver, the first day he set his eyes on her during a church service The couple was too broke, and Okello said he planned his wedding with KSh 400 (N1,452), and his church members and friends chipped in Okello, who has three degrees, revealed that he and his wife stayed pure until their wedding night Jorim Okello and Irene Rono, both born-again Christians, have been through a lot in life. Yet, they are a great example of grass to grace. Okello and his beautiful wife have been married for seven years and recently celebrated their seventh marriage anniversary. Okello meets Rono In an exclusive interview with a trusted Kenyan news media Tuko, Okello revealed that he met his wife in 2012 at a church service while studying at Moi University, Kenya. "I was in a relationship with a lady I wanted to marry but she disappointed me. We continued being friends. She (my ex) invited me to preach at a local church in her hometown. Irene was part of the choir that was invited to sing and when I saw her, I fell in love with her," he said.“ The soft-spoken man said he had prayed for a wife, and immediately after the church service, he approached her and asked her to be his girlfriend, but she refused. "Irene told me that she had a heart problem which nobody could understand her...I was convinced she was going to be my wife," he narrated.“ The outspoken man was not shy of falling in love with the Form Four leaver. Okello said he pursued Irene for almost a year and in 2013, she accepted to be his girlfriend. "We courted for two years and got married in 2015." Staying pure before marriage and wedding Okello and Irene tied the knot on December 5, 2015, in a simple wedding ceremony at an Eastleigh church. He said they were broke at the time they walked down the aisle. "I planned my wedding with KSh 400 (N1,452) in my account because I wanted to settle down the right way," he said. The prayerful man, who has three degrees, revealed that he and his wife stayed pure until marriage. "My church members helped me raise almost KSh 100k (N363k), which I used for the wedding. We bought our rings (two of the) at Nairobi's River Road area for KSh 3,500 (N12,700). He said his church members played a major role in their wedding, yet they were broke. Okello said their wedding day was chaos. "There was heavy traffic jam and I arrived at the wedding venue at 5:30 pm and the bride arrived at 6pm," he said. They exchanged vows at 6pm. Okello revealed that he paid only one cow for dowry, because he was poor, revealing that soon, he would be visiting his in-laws to pay the bride price again. "I want to take better dowry after 2022 election and will re-wed my wife in a big ceremony (renew wedding vows) now that God has blessed me," he said. "We never went for the honeymoon. We got only KSh 2k (N7,263) from the wedding guests and used it to rent a room in Park Road on our wedding night and went back home the following day." Okello talks about family and life hardships The couple got their first child a few months after their wedding and Okello said things changed. He disclosed that his wife's heart problem became severe and could even faint for an hour and was always in and out of the hospital. 'I didn't have a job and friends helped me settle my wife's hospital bills," he recalled. Okello said he decided to fast for seven days and prayed to God to heal his wife because she was in so much pain. The 31-year-old man said they used to live in Kayole, Nairobi, and life became unbearable at some point. "We would go hugry for days and even lacked money to pay rent. The owner of the school where I used to work didn't pay us for more than four months and later closed it down," he narrated. Okello was forced to go to Mandera in 2016, where he worked for three months before returning to Kayole, due to insecurity reasons. The couple was blessed with a second child three weeks ago and the excited father said: "We tried getting another child from 2015 and God blessed us with another one recently," he said. God-sent husband After they got married, Okello took his wife to school to study in 2017 and she graduated recently with a diploma in human resources. The father of two showered his wife with praises for being patient when life was tough. "I used to walk from Kayole to Garden Estate to teach three kids at home and would earn KSh 150, which wasn't even enough for fare," he recalled. In 2017, Okello got a job with IEBC before he was promoted and he moved to Eldoret with his family. "I see my wife as my mother and best friend. I would choose her (Irene) over anything because she loves me immensly," he said. Okello said his wife will be turning 31 in January 2022 and he promised to buy her a car just to show her how much he loves her. Okello advises couples "Love your wives, treat them with respect ,and give them a good environment to live in. Pray and trust in the lord and He will change your lives, mine is a great example," he said.

I Was in House Fire, Burned Over 60%, Lost 4 Fingers, Lost An Ear but God Kept Me “At the age of 4, I was in a house fire. I remember being trapped by a room full of fire than being pulled out of the window by my big toe. I was in the house with my mom and 3 brothers... two brothers (age 2 and 6) did not make it out. "I was sent to one hospital where they weren't able to do any thing for me, then flown to another. By the time I made it there, my heart had stopped. My mother had been told her 3rd baby died. After a few minutes, I was given another chance at life. And i don't take it for granted at all. "I was burned over 60% of my body, lost 4 fingers, lost an ear and lost all of my hair that isn't able to grow back again. Those were the things that I lost... but I gained so much more. I was given life. I am married. And I have 3 beautiful Children "I am blessed. No matter what you are going through in life know that you have been picked personally to live the life you are living. Through your bad days and through the good, you are here!!!” Pls spare a second and help me praise the name of God.

Please moderator move to right section.. A man who lives in an old abandoned estate in the UK has stated that he has no plans of either moving out or renovating the property The 53-year-old identified as Leslie Southam strongly believes that the apocalypse is coming soon and that the world will end 7 years time Explaining his belief in the apocalypse, Leslie raised a number of concerns including how piles of rubbish are dumped around. Some people go on to enumerate plans of tying the knot, hitting a career milestone or getting properties when posed questions about where they see themselves in the next 7 years, none of these matter to Leslie. 53-year-old Leslie Southam is of the firm belief that the world would come to an end in the next 7 years and has decided to wait for it. The Sun reports that Leslie currently lives in an abandoned estate located in Brynmefys, Wales, UK with his elderly parents. The property they reside in was acquired in the 1980s but hasn't witnessed development or renovation activities for a while, leaving it in a state of derelict. Why he believes the world will end in the next 7 years In an interview with Wales Online, Leslie pointed to the current coronavirus pandemic as one of the signs that humans are living in the last days. He noted the rotting carcasses of homes, dumping of refuses and collapsing roofs which he argued are the handiwork of nature that wants to reclaim its land. He said these signs precede Jesus Christ coming and the apocalypse. "The way things are going, it's only going to be seven years at most." Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a Christian computer programmer had predicted the apocalypse in 2016. Nora Roth performed complex calculations using an excerpt from the Bible's Book of Daniel and came to the following conclusions in her work titled "2016 The Time of the End": "In the fall [autumn] of 2016, the 6,000 years of sin on earth will come to an end, everlasting righteousness will be brought in, and Jesus will come again to take His people to heaven. Then the Earth will begin its 1,000 years of rest." The mentioned excerpt tells the story of the Jewish people's forced relocation to Babylon, where Gabriel says that "Seventy sevens are decreed […] to put an end to sin." Source: Legit.ng

Former Italy forward Antonio Cassano has sensationally claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo sent him raging text messages following his comments ranking him compared to Lionel Messi, who scooped up his seventh Ballon d'Or. Messi received the ultimate individual crown for a record seventh time to pip Robert Lewandowski to the award, with Ronaldo nowhere to be seen as he snubbed attending the ceremony all together. Ronaldo is now two awards behind Messi as the Portuguese star remains content with his five honours, but the recent success for the Argentinian has swayed the famous 'greatest of all-time' debate once more. Cassano has made his feelings very clear in the past where Messi and Ronaldo rank in that conversation, and his recent comments led to a message from the Manchester United forward. According to football Italia, Cassano previously said that ‘there is only one Ronaldo’ as he referred to the former Brazilian striker, and that Messi is much better than the former Juventus star. After Messi claimed his seventh crown, with Ronaldo snubbing the ceremony, Cassano turned the screw even more and said that the 36-year-old is 'not even in the top five in the history of football'. The comments were clearly too much as the Italian revealed on Bobo TV that Ronaldo had texted him, and the Portuguese star was less than impressed as he claimed that Cassano lacked 'respect'. Speaking on Bobo TV, where Cassano is a regular guest, the Italian said: "The other day, after Bobo TV, I saw a text from a Spanish number. "Four long texts. Let’s see if he [Ronaldo] confirms it because I also forwarded them to Gigi [Buffon], who told me he had given my number to Cristiano. "He told me that I had to respect him, I had to respect the goals he had scored, what he had won and what he represents. "I fear nobody and I replied to him writing that I had just said the truth: there is only one Ronaldo and Messi is better than him. He [Ronaldo] continued saying that he has money. He scored more many goals in his career, while I had only scored 150. Cristiano has everything in life. He should take it easy and be relaxed rather than see what people say about him. He should be like Messi and be more relaxed. "This is the truth, I called Buffon and told him too, I told Giorgio Chiellini as well. I’ve never disrespected him, as a man or as a footballer. I don’t like him, there are 50 players I like more than he, so what?" At the age of 36, it's almost impossible for Ronaldo to catch Messi's record of seven Ballon d'Or's, but despite Cassano's damning claims, the Portuguese star is still in excellent form, so even at his age he cannot be underestimated.

In a former report, Legit.ng reported that Dangote Cement revealed why its market price is more expensive in Nigeria compared to other African countries. Few days ago, Malam Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), stirred heated reactions when he said Nigerians will pay between N320 and N340 per litre after the removal of petrol subsidy in 2022. Though the minister of finance, budget and national planning, Zainab Ahmed, said the subsidy will be replaced with a N5000-a-month transportation grant to the poorest Nigerians, many Nigerians have rejected the government's plan. Petrol Prices in Nigeria and 14 other African Countries Crowd seen gathered at the NNPC mega petrol station in Calabar, on November 14, 2015. Photo credit: NurPhoto Amid the heated discussions on the government's plan, a report by The Cable Index shows that Nigeria’s petrol pump price is the lowest in West Africa. The report sourced its data from Globalpetrolprices.com, a platform that tracks retail fuel prices in over 150 countries and used the FX rate of N411.64 per dollar to arrive at the prices of petrol in some selected African countries. Why the difference in petrol prices All countries have access to the same petroleum prices at the international markets. However, they impose different taxes or bear cost through subsidy payments. According to Globalpetrolprices, the differences in prices across countries are due to the various taxes and subsidies they impose on the product. According to TheCable Index's findings, Nigeria has the third cheapest petrol price in Africa and the lowest in West Africa. The N165.89 per litre price also places Nigeria as the seventh cheapest nation in terms of fuel pump price in the world. Nigerian Labour Congress reacts to projected price of petrol Meanwhile, the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) on Wednesday, November 24, said it has rejected the planned petroleum pump price increase by the federal government. The president of the congress, Ayuba Wabba, in a statement released in Abuja said members of the NLC would not take the bait thrown by the federal government. Wabba said the announcement made by Kyari that fuel would cost as high as N340 by February 2022 is comical.
