HealthThe Importance Of Wearing Sunglass by legendboy(op): 10:54pm On Jul 12, 2015
Sunglasses have other uses than just as a fashion accessory to a particular outfit. Sunglasses will help to protect your eyes from harmful UV Rays Ultraviolet (UV) radiation has been attributed to the development of many eye problems including cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). They will also help to prevent wrinkles by protecting the delicate skin around the eyes from premature ageing. Good quality sunglasses protect your eyes from 100% of sun’s harmful UV rays. Sunglasses reduce glare Most surfaces will reflect light. Water, snow, car windshields and the road surface are some of the most common surfaces that we experience reflected light. Extremely bright reflections can distracting and interfere with vision. This is particularly dangerous when driving, riding a motorbike, skiing or boating. Consider sunglasses such as those that include polarized filters or mirror coatings will reduce glare for safer and more comfortable vision. Sunglasses protect your eyes from wind, dust and debris Whether you are out cycling, skiing or just enjoying the view outdoors, sunglasses are an effective wind barrier. They reduce the rate of evaporation of tears and helps keep your eyes moist and comfortable. If you wear contact lenses, sunglasses will help to keep them moist and prevent windblown particles from getting in your eyes and causing a corneal abrasion. Consider close-fitting “wrap” style frames as these are a particularly effective barrier. Sunglasses reduce headaches and eyestrain In very bright conditions, the pupil which controls the amount of light reaching the light sensitive retina, cannot constrict small enough to reduce light to a comfortable level. This causes a person to squint, using the eyelids to further reduce light entering the eye. Muscle fatigue associated with squinting and constant constriction of the pupil can lead to headache and eyestrain. Sunglasses reduce the amount of light reaching the eyes to a more comfortable level, eliminating the need for squinting and severe pupil constriction. Ensure you buy sunglasses that provide the correct category of protection Sunglasses can enhance vision All sunglass lenses are tinted to cut down on overall brightness and enhance terrain definition. However, your choice of tint colours affect your vision by influencing: how much visible light reaches your eyes, how well you see other colours, and how well you see contrasts. By selecting the correct colour tint for your sport or activity will help to improve your visual acuity for that environment. Conversely, certain bright or unusual colours may alter your colour perception adversely. From a visual standpoint this is why it is usually best to choose lenses that are grey, brown or green. When is it most important to wear sunglasses? It’s generally a good idea to wear sunglasses anytime you’re outdoors but especially when: In summer when UV radiation is at least 3 times higher than it is during winter At the beach or near the water (one of the most reflective surfaces) You’re in the mountains or outside at any high elevations. If you have had cataract surgery/ are taking photo-sensitizing drugs
CelebritiesOsita Iheme To Inspire Students With His New Book by legendboy(op): 10:18pm On Jul 12, 2015
Years of acting and the numerous challenges of life has led the Porpo to write all his experiences in a book. Osita Iheme who received an endorsement from the Universal Basic Education Commission of Nigeria, has contracted Africana First Publishers PLC to print and distribute copies of his new book titled “INSPIRE 101” to different schools in the country to form part of their library and research materials. The book has already been reviewed by respectable personalities including Professor Pat Utomi who gave it high marks for the way he espouses his ideas of inspiration. For Osita, this was an opportunity he has been waiting for: “This is a dream come true, I pray and believe that the ‘Inspire 101’ (book) will have a direct positive impact on students and any other person that reads it. It is the fragment of my thoughts and beliefs that drove and elevated me from my ‘not too comfortable background’ to a better person in the society. People can move from the background of lack and insufficiency to become a beacon of hope and inspiration to others. As role interpreters, our fans erroneously believe that what we act in movies depicts our true self but this cannot be the truth; ‘Inspire 101’, which is a compilation of my original quotes, is a peep through the window of my soul.”

Christianity EtcPastir E. Adebayo Says Abortion Is Okay If Doctor Requests For It by legendboy(op): 8:37am On Jul 12, 2015
The GO of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says abortion is ungodly and unbiblical. He made his position known via his Special Assistant on Personnel and Administration, Pastor Johnson Odesola, at the monthly prayer and thanksgiving service organised for pregnant women at the RCCG National Headquarters in Ebutte-Metta, Lagos. "You can prevent pregnancy but once the egg and the sperm meet and is formed, anything that suggests that it should be terminated is against God’s word. The option of abortion is an option preferred by medical professionals but as Christians, we believe in miracles and that God is able to take away every problems. There is nothing God cannot do even if the life of the woman is at stake; pray for a divine intervention and God who created the universe knows what to do in any situation we find ourselves as we look up to him in faith.” pastor Odesola said on behalf of pastor Adeboye So wait, if the life of the woman is at stake, she shouldn't abort but pray for divine intervention? I'm totally against abortion, but I also think it's okay to go ahead if you're advised by your doctor to terminate it if your life is at stake. What do you guys think?
