busuyem: If HND graduate is freshly recruited, what grade level will he/she be given. I'm sure Bsc holders are given grade lever 08 but I don't knw much about HND holders. Pls, I just need the diffence between BSc. and HND in civil service.

I think some companies are just irrational by asking for cover letter when they know it might be difficult to get the appropriate person to address it to, its just so disheartening. Also please OP I'll appreciate if you can help us by telling us the difference between cover letter and application letter.

OP, don't be depressed, if you finished NYSC february this year, then I think we are in the same boat, My advice is try to get something doing no matter how small or unprofitable or embarrassing it is, it will not only get some money in your pocket, it will save you from been depressed and give you experience and exposure. Age is just a number, isn't it the skills that is needed? My opinion is if the company asking for a particular age limit can state the particular reason she feels its necessary applicants be of such age limit, then it will be fair. Most of these companies' are selfish and they are only trying to cut cost. Its only in Nigeria these things will happen and no one will complain. God help us!

The OP has done a good job but what I've gathered from experience is that there is never a perfect way of writing your resume, the op should not generalize his theory of resume writing especially in a country like Nigeria. One should just follow the standard, include as much as you can and hope you read the mind of your prospective employer.
