@ everyone
isn't  there something the goverment(Nigerian govt) can do with all this guys that just refuse visas anyhow, for instance in my case i paid 6500 pounds to the school was refused, i was willing and ready to study in  the U.k, but now that i havewon an appeal  first the money no dey ground again and tuition fees don increase by 1250 pounds making it  12500 pounds, i don sit for house 1 year doing nothing all because of one foolish ECO( i dont want 2 use derogratory terms for d guy), i just think this is criminal and govt, which isthe institution responsible for law and order should take proper care of those rogues( just mt outburst)
mrpataki
thanks i actually called and i have confirmed all i need to confirm, i have started the 56 days countdown(because that stupid Eco can claim that he didnt get it until after 28 days)

TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 7:51am On Jun 21, 2007
@casperc100
like i said earlier, my case is very similar to yours, it was a paper hearing and the eco did not file the bundle.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 8:19am On Jun 19, 2007
@casperc100
i think that is just the new modus operandi for answering enquiries for paper appeals, pray and wait for a week or two, there is just a week difference between our cases.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 8:10am On Jun 19, 2007
@casperc100
first you dont need to be worried about that, i think the Eco just made the case easier for you, unless you used forged bank statements, in which case the eco sends the letter from the bank confirming that the statements are forged along with your docs and doesnt bother to file a bundle, but if that isn't the case then you can relax a little if you trully marshalled your points well.
I guess your appeal has been heard,considering your time-frame i also got a similar email from the ait a week ago saying that my appeal was yet to be heard only to get a mail allowing my appeal yesterday.
EducationRe: Uk Visa Application And Nigerian Students by lelele: 7:58am On Jun 07, 2007
Please dont ever contact BETTA those guys are on the verge of bankruptcy, they will take 45000 naira after which they will ask u to pay 700pounds as deposit. and you will never get a kobo back.

@sayasuyi
O boy this advise they cost enough jisst and yawa ooooooooooo, let me ask you a question how was the refusal worded? did they use any of the following phrases:
1 comparison of documents
2 we beleive that
because we dont know if these guys really confirmed the documents or just compared it, if they did confirm it, go ahead and submit your application with the email from the Eco, if not dont tell them that you used a forged document, just tell them "due to the fact that i have been refused on the allegations of forgery, i will like if all my documents are confirmed and will not mind a little delay"
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 4:14am On Jun 04, 2007
@casporacoci
Sorry if i didnt get yr name right, why not relax since the hearing was on the may 5, the determination is not yet late and you can contact the ait by email or telephone. Good luck. was is a paper or oral hearing?
TravelRe: Uk Visa Application (advice Needed) by lelele: 5:18pm On May 31, 2007
@sayasuyi
nice that u have already sent a mail to them, dont base your hope on thier answer(ki lo expect pe ki won so wen u go pay money) but the truth is
1 if u use a new passport u will b caught , there is no doubt about that, gone are the days that you could easily fool those guys by using your middle name as your first name and vice-versa, and you will not be given a right of appeal.
2 You are most likely to be refused, i am 80% sure you will be refused, but you will definitely win an appeal.the main problem is those guys dont issue visas indicriminately any longer, so even if you pay all your tuition and accomodation fees, the eco will most likely give a flimsy excuse, the main thing is you have to relax and wait for a year.

Dont forget to send a printout of the email along with other documents when applying.
Good luck.

@vicvijustice
i dont understand your comparison between an assylum seeker and someone who has a dual citizenship, does a second paasport, will a second passport make me sleep better @ nite,or can i show it in a supermarket in place of money, please kindly explain.
TravelRe: Uk Visa Application (advice Needed) by lelele: 6:59am On May 29, 2007
@sayasusi
you can send a mail to the high commission b4 applying asking them to verify all documents, all that said you will still lose the visa(except there is a miracle) but u will win an appeal

mrpataki
sorry, maybe i got you confused or my memory failed me, i thought saw a post of yours regarding an appeal after refusal, just wanted to know how things were going, i hope no offense was taken.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 10:27am On May 17, 2007
@anikay
why not reapply and address the issues raised in the refusal, that is if your admmission is still valid, since it is a student visa i think you will invariably be given.
I think there are basically 4 issues with a student visa
1 finance
2offer
3your ability to do the course
4your willingness to return
if you can prove all 4 without doubt. it's just a matter of timebefore you get your visa
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 9:50am On May 17, 2007
@everyone
i weak o, just an email from ait saying my appeal is not yet scheduled for hearing simply because it's a paper appeal, dont these guys know that the anxiety and indecision can kill. i just want to confirm is it right that i will get a determination 10 days after the appeal.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 7:27am On May 11, 2007
@omojeje
There is no such thing as an unpardonable grammatical error, i understand you, but i think that is a ''wrong niger mindset'' we place a foreign language as an index for determining someone's ability. this only happens in Black Africa, Welllll shaaaaaaaaa.

@mrpataki
why will razzzy still be given a letter of refusal if he has won the appeal and he has abn unconditional offer,maybe i am wrong but i sincerely doubt it,by the way how is(was) your appeal.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 7:29am On May 07, 2007
@razzy
you can apply to a good university, as long as you meet the academic requirements (not easy), i can assure you that you will be granted an unconditional offer,
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 7:35am On Apr 06, 2007
i was refused in september filled an appeal in october, i got the first letter 4rm the ait asking the eco to file all documents before feb 20, i got a new letter from the ait, again requesting that the eco should file the bundle. who has a clue of what's up?
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 8:12am On Apr 04, 2007
Hello
i just got another letter from the ait in uk(obviously the eco is yet to file the bundle) asking the eco to file the bundle on or before april 27 and that the appeal will take place on or after april 27, what does this mean ? is that a good omen (probably the eco has nothing against my case) or shoul i contact the embassy? i am really worried. who has an idea of what's going on (it's a paper hearing).
Thanks.

i dont know about visa agents asking for advise via this forum, well if you need 2 know i am not one and i havent sent you any mails, of course i understand the need for caution, but reading thru the thread i am yet 2 find anything suspicious.
@mrpataki

TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 4:37pm On Mar 02, 2007
Hello,
I guess you probably still dont get me, the appeal was sent in oct, i was  reffering to the letter sent by the ait, i appealed 5 months ago, what is the probablity of the case been successful. i am really worried.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 9:28am On Mar 02, 2007
@everyone
i will give you the lowdown, i actually applied for a visa in Aug and was turned down for about 7 reasons, asking why i was just interested in a masters degree after graduating 2 years ago, stating that i didnt provide my own statement of account, asking how i was going to be relevant in the oil and gas industry, why i was been sponsored by my parents company, that they weren't satisfied that the company was willing to invest its profit in my education, even after i had paid a sum of 6500 pounds. i immediately reapplied and addressed all the issues raised and was again turned down this time the ECO just told a lie by saying the name of the account and the sponsor was different. i have appealled but i am still worried, i want to know considering the fact that i was told to forward all documents before 27 of feb how soon can i expect a decision(not an oral hearing), i just want to know how soon. in case i have to make alternative plans

What excatly how we talking about, we are happy because we have an alternative to dstv, i dont think that is the solution. there has to be a way out of thi why do we have to always have the sour end of the deal, other africa countries dont like us yet they are always rippping us.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by lelele: 8:59am On Mar 01, 2007
