MUN currently on mid term break, they will resume next week and the department will sit on graduate applications next week.

Hello mzjokky16. Please do you know if MUN is still accepting applications for its fall 2019 programs. I am looking for school that are still accepting applications for their fall 2019 programs. I will appreciate any leads. Thanks.

Congratulations.
LekwachiJJ:
Hello everyone..Pls pardon my long post. Finally my visa came out today after I submitted my passport on 18th September. I want to give the glory to God and thank everyone here especially those make very insightful contribution, the type that gingerred me to take some steps.

Mine is a strange one. Applied on 11th May. Biometrics on 23rd May. Medicals on 23rd August. Passport request on 18th September. And then everything came to a stand still for over 2 months. Within this period I submitted over 7 CSE webforms and wrote over 10 emails to Lagos VO but got maybe 2 responses. Meanwhile my online status remained at a confusing situation: eligibility review ongoing, meds passed, background check ongoing but application approved and passport requested. By October 18th I received a mail asking me to send in updated bank statement in a new format: bank statement request ticket plus password. My bank had not implemented this new format and so gabe me a cover letter to add to the normal statement. And then nothing again.

My last webform was responded to with the story that my application was in London. I wrote London last week and complained about the restriction of my movement for other personal and business travels outside of Canada with the continued with holding of my passport. London responded that my application has been approved since September and that they are aware my passport was dropped at VFS, can I go to VFS for "printing of your visa". So confusing! VFS does not print visas. Even then my many visits there revealed thar my passport was at the embassy.

Finally yesterday morning as I was driving to Anifowose instead of VFS as directed I got a call to attend an interview this morning. I was there by 6 am and by 8.30 I sat in front of an officer who told me my bank statements were not clear or legible. This is bery untrue as I scanned them myself. After barely looking through the updated statements I brought he asked me to wait for 10 minutes and in exactly 10 minutes my passport came out with my visa!

I applied to study MA Communication in UOttawa. My first degree ia in Pol Science, over 27 years ago. I had an MBA since 2001 and am a very mature appliacant. My SOI stated that after working in communication for over 2 decades I needed to retire to academics by studying in Canada and merging my long practical experience with serious academic scholarship for the benefit of my future students.

Document attached:
1. Acceptance letter and Statement of Intent
2. Dom account statement with over 100kUSD
3. TD acount statement with 40kCAD
4. Letter of employment, payslips
5. Travel history to Canada, US, UK, SA, etc
6. Scanned passport data page ( passport valid till 1st June 2019. So while waiting I applied for renewal and added the new passport via webform and email).

I did not add any property or evidence of family ties beyond what I filled in the family information form. Just the above.

Bottom line while waiting, I prayed and fasted like never before especially after I was told my application was in London.

My admission was deferred to Winter with the kind understanding of my faculty and I will be travelling by God's grace before new year. My testimony I did not lose faith in the power of God despite the odds against me as shown in many of the tesimonies and feedback in this forum especially about long gap from last degree

I pray everyone here will have a good story to tell and bery very soon in Jesus name. Amen.

Hello house,

I got Passport Request last Tuesday and submitted my passport to the VFS office in Lagos on Thursday.

I applied online and had my biometrics in Abuja but submitted passport to Lagos (this attracted a fee of about N14,380).

My question is this, how long does it take for passport to be ready for collection after submission? And does it take longer due to passport transmission?
Hello 123abcclown. Did you pay the money (N14,380) because you are submitting your passport in a different VFS office or its a general fee for the passport submission?

Silent reader although I have asked one or two questions here. I stumbled here after I submitted my application online.

My application was approved today or PPR came in today.

Applied July 8th.
Biometric July 10th.
Decided to do medicals on my own in August.
Medical passed 2 days after I uploaded my result.
My eligibility review started today 23rd November.
My passport request came in today 23rd November.

I wrote to them twice in September and I got the generic "processing" and "active processing" the first and second time respectively.

I graduated (B.Sc,Nigeria) in 2006, (MBA,USA) 2012.
Was refused permanent residence visa in 2014.
was refused visiting visa in 2017.

I applied for another Masters BTW.

Thanks to you all.

Try a lesser version of Adobe. The same thing happened to me after filling out my forms. I did some research and I found out the Adobe version (Mac book latest) I had was not compatible so I downgraded to a lower version.

Hello everyone. Please, can you guys help me with the link to the web form? I think its high time I write to CIC. Unfortunately, my program director said I can't defer my admission. I can only reapply if I don't meet the Sept 16th deadline and re-admission is not guaranteed. So I have to shoot my shot with the VOs today. I did upfront medical already.

Hello Geotherm.
Congratulations once again to your friend.
Please, how did you attach the medical report?
Did you add any note to explain why you carried out the medical exam without a letter?
I did my medicals today at the Ikoyi, is it advisable to wait till Monday before I send the result to CIC?
Thanks

Anything from them yet?

No, not yet! My visa office is Accra and I hear they are slow. I am actually expecting to hear from them next month based on the numbers I saw on the global spreadsheet. I hope I am right though..

Meritl:

1. Yes, UNIBEN can respond back via email. I used the email reply option and they acknowledged. It for within 2 days.
2. After WES received the verification via email,, they updated my online record to show that the verification by my University has been received. They said it will take them over 4weeks+ to send the evaluation to me. Surprisingly about 4 days later , I checked my online record and it read" Evaluation Completed". They then provided me with the tracking details via UPS.

In addition, if I remember correctly, I actually paid 1k for verification (well since they saying 2k, that shouldn't be a problem) and sent via email after UNIBEN verified it. The #8,200 should be a fee to post via DHL.
But as I said earlier, no need wasting money sending your verification via speed post as the email option will work faster (UNIBEN usually has the address to send verification for WES issues).
Hope this helped.

Yes, Thanks

@meritl I am currently experiencing same problem. They said I should pay 2000 for verification and 8200 for sending it back to wes. I pay the money 2 weeks ago but they are still telling me stories. Now they are saying wes left out a vital document that is suppose to accompany the transcript. Wes on the other hand said they have sent what they needed to send and they promise to resend it again by email and regular mail (same way they sent the first one). it been more than 4 weeks now and I still don't know where I stand with them. Questions for you though:

1. Can Uniben reply by email and will the email verification be accepted by wes?
2. How long did it take for wes to respond after Uniben sent them the verification?

damkollins:
registration number was never requested.
Attached is what is requested as documented in the document check list.
Once your experience letters conform to the requirements....don't waste your precious time on the inclusion of registration number on it.
Cheers.
Thanks a lot.

Good morning everyone. I just realized this morning that 2 of the 3 companies that wrote reference letter for me included their company's registration number in their letter head but the most recent company i worked for did not and I was going to post my documents today. The question is should I request for fresh documents from them or just submit the one I have? How important is the registration number in this process? @damkollins @solomonwis

Just relax....
Sometimes, they have technical issues in uploading results while sometimes, they randomly pick some candidates for their marking scheme.
They will soon upload it...continue checking.
If your result will be randomly picked, they will notify you.if not,you can call them.
Cheers.

Thanks damkollins
