Ms Braids nd I are good. We do share certain sentiments evidently, but its nothing deep. She made it clear she has no intention of leaving SA. So that pretty much fried me out grin. Still, thanks for having my back big bro

Hehe and then this;
Kinkybraids:
lol grin Very funny. Ill be honest I had a sneak peak at his pro pic and he doesnt meet one of my requirements...He is overly handsome lol...he sounds very smart but his pic gives off the image of being a player embarassed but yet again I could be wrong
Kinkybraids:
lol well theres a higher probability that a hansome guy will be a player because he doesnt have to do much to get girls. Ill be honest I think Im just an average woman cheesy ...I dont think I can handle the stress of being with a really 'hot' guy that is in demand. lol Yet again i would be doing my children a disservice. The gentleman you mentioned is too 'pretty'... If I were to go for a hansome man Id want a man that looks much older, darker in complexion...like Idris Elba (in my ideal world lol)

To be sure, you are horribly wrong about me. Now I also know that you've indirectly called me out via your subtle posers about my prefrences wink. Sadly however I won't be taking that bait of discussing my person. Atleast not publicly. There's a good chance that might come off as patronizing, and that'd just ruin everything. Regardless of your misconceptions about me, I'm an open book Ms Braids. Life shouldn't be made anymore complicated than it already is.

Though tacitly implied, I wish to Thank you for your kind words. I feel they were far too generous nd mostly underserving. You should know however that I consider you a woman of many parts, 'Average' is not just one of them. And there is no such thing as a pretty gentleman. Please do not push me to sing your hymns cos we both know they're way better than that of the great Psalmist, David grin

Too bad the doors have been shut on me on account of some percieved bad boy image, but if I were to remain in your good books on here, then I'd have struck just as much friendship as I'd have ideally wished.

Cheers!

Romance / Re: Why Are South African Women Crazy About Naija Guys? by Lenzz(m): 5:06am On Jul 25, 2014
Kinkybraids: Well speaking as a South African Lady who has been with two Nigerian men Id say the thing that they both had in common was that they were very intelligent and driven which are qualities I like. One was extremely confident (borderline cocky... lol which can come off as sexy) and very competitive which always kept on me on my toes grin ( we were in the same class).

Sexually they were both willing to um... go down south embarassed lol which is something most SA most guys are not willing to do... Id say that the Nigerian guy (that I thought I loved...I was naive) was my best lover. He was never selfish, always had something to prove so study sessions were really fun grin . I think he was very open emotionally which was weird for me since most guys in SA are very closed off...but I liked it.

There is also a generalization that Nigerian men are gifted in size lol... During meal times in university we would often make jokes about who had selected the 'Nigerian Banana' (i.e the Big one) as opposed to the SA one lol... However I think its a misconception undecided

Lastly although the guys I was involved with weren't spenders ( I never demanded anything of them...I dont like to be controlled through money) most SA girls believe that nigerian men are rich and will spend on you. I kinda believe this is true because when I was in high school most of the nigerian men that approached me would first offer to buy me things but I wasn't interested in Nigerian men then.

When I came to University Nigerian guys were a hot topic among SA girls... Most SA girls see Nigerian men as a true African man who will take care of you ( so maybe its a link to how we see our fathers...Im not sure) and I think that movie ' Phat Girls' really promted Nigerian men to the world especially in SA. Since most SA girls are very voluptuous Nigerian men often approach them because of their big booties grin while some SA men (especially in Joburg) would want you to really slim down.

Having sampled from the honey pot I don't think Id marry a Nigerian man though as their intention with SA women (even the good ones) are not proper...Its just mainly to pass time while they are in SA.

Lol.
That's quite an expose. On sighting this thread, I immediately went after your moniker. Well you didn't just turn up, you delivered in style.
Frankly this intelligent nd detailed piece will come as no suprise to most folks who followed your last thread.
It made an excellent read. Its always fun breaking words with you Ms Braids

So Jonathan calls GMB. That's a big deal. Release pictures of the President holding that landline phone, displaying all d emotions of sympathy nd support to d General. DestinedSharon:
I agrees with U that women loves challenges. We unconsciously take it upon Ourselves to refine a crude man. This is because we philosophically believes the word ''all that glitters is not gold''. When a guy is too soft and too good, we see him as ''a wolf in sheep clothings'', we hardly believes in him. You might be the type that hardly have time for women, U do not cheat or flirt around, just a nice guy. Ladies perceives U differently, we logically put it that it's either u ar yet to find another or U ar not really ladies choice so U were being turned down. A once loving lady might just quit U for a more handsome sweet mouthed playboy. Not that her intuition didn't tell her that he isn't good for her, but she'd rather believe ''I can change him''. That is where we go nuts. Some get to succeed, while many get to regret for the rest of their lives.

Spot on!

udemzyudex: lol...always imagining things, and the funny part is no girl will want to marry a guy like that..

Girls don't want a guy who is not challenging, a guy who they can control.when they believe he has given them his powers,it becomes boring and really want to try out new things.

Any girl will think twice before accepting such guy proposal

Yeah I think I agree with you. Women are very unpredictable set of people. They easily get bored with routine; whether its routine love or routine pampering, they just get bored.

With d benefit of hindsight, I've come to learn that women over time prefers to explore further than where they are however sweet nd comfortable their lives may currently be. Women need unassuming nd sometimes unpredictable men most of d time. I once had a GF in university who left a very faithful nd caring partner for me simply because, in her words, he wasn't phenomenal nd challenging. Simply put, she got bored from d tonnes of care. Can you beat that.

My point? There is no quick fix to holding down these daughters of Eve. By default they're designed to not know what they really want when it comes to love nd expectations from love, and that's not me been chauvinistic but just laying dem facts bare.

I still believe in love though. Nice submissions once again Ms Sweetlemon. You have a follower

softandsweet: This has been and will continue to be a controversial issue. Beauty, Beauty Beauty.. The word is overated. The earlier we begin to live for ourselves and not to please the society, the happier and content we will be. Its as if the world is in a competition for societies approval of beauty. Funny enough, every man or womans idea of beauty differs, light skin, ebony skin, chocolate, caramel, gap tooth, slim fit, curvy, straight, hairy, blue eyes, brown eyes, dimples, petite, tall, average height, broad shoulders....... the list goes on and on. Ladies check yourselves, and Guys too..... there is something beautiful about you. The list is endless. The creator doesnt make mistakes. When ee try to be all these things, we loose the essense of beauty and we go out of sync with our places in this world. We should take care of ourselves, of our bodies, but the purpose of doing so shouldn't be for approval for then we will never be content in this ever changing world.

Business / Re: OLX Nigeria And So Much Scamming by Lenzz(m): 7:14am On Jul 20, 2014
Hangard: I think OLX should try and adopt the use of Escrow services, to eliminate the process of sellers scamming buyers on the site. The system of buyers and sellers meeting each other is cumbersome.
Endorsed.
I hope OLX sees this. I watch their Ads every time on TV and I'm always amazed/disappionted when they keep emhasizing meeting your dealer as one of the steps to closing a deal. That's crazy for God's sake!
You don't need to be an Einstein to know that is a very flawed and retrogressive process not to mention the attendant security risk that goes with meeting people you don't know from anywhere just to close out a deal. Heck that could be you closing out your life! There are sociopaths everywhere.
OLX must dig deeper and sort out these things now. Escrow services comes to mind as a possible solution wherein an account is established by a broker for holding funds on behalf of the broker's principal and some other person until the consummation or termination of a transaction. This ensures that either side in a business deal will always hold d ace until both sides are satisfied with d terms of d biz nd eventually closes it out. Shekina.
Anything short of this, then OLX can kiss their business goodbye becos d complaints are just getting excessive by d day.

Romance / Re: Help: I Need To Find A Husband Soon by Lenzz(m): 3:11am On Jul 15, 2014
Kinkybraids:

Ok you have caught me out...maybe I am insecure about the future but these insecurities are highlighted even more by societal pressures and as man I dont feel that you can truly experience the full extent of the pressure placed on woman. I know I shouldn't use it as an excuse but I do feel time is running out.

I honestly dont feel R50k is unattainable...Its a bit harder to get but if you are ambitious enough its possible. I want a man who doesnt feel its too unrealistic because he has a vision like I do. Ill be honest maybe I shouldnt have made it the focal point of my requirements but If you want to marry a prospective CA then you should at least earn that because that is just the starting salary. Money aside If my prospective husband is secure enough with himself and I trully love him then I'd be fine with him earning less but he must still be able to take care of me and the family we will make together.

Ok I will admit that I crave that lifestyle because I am not from a rich home and I will not be ashamed to say I want it if I am willing to work for it. I can accept a modest lifestyle but I want to know that I am financially secure.

Yes life isnt black and white but you have to know what you want and what your goals are so where you are in the grey area you have them as a guide.

lol wow you have caught me here...ok I didnt want to give too much info about myself and where I come from because I know what comments were going to follow thereafter.

There is this negative perception about South African women on NL and I didnt want that to cloud and advice given to me. I just wanted pure advice that was unbiased or tainted. I didnt specifically say I wanted to marry a Nigerian man (this was assumed and rightly so) but I just wanted general advice that could be applicable to me (Nigerian or not)... which brings me to say I am not Nigerian embarassed ... however my parents are very traditional and a part of man would like to marry a man who is modern but still upholds some traditional African values.
Ps: My intention is not to steal Nigerian men but I strongly believe that Nigeria has kept most of these African values which SA has traded for a western way of living.

If I had mentioned that I was South African the bashing would have been worse and I would have taking nothing from the thread...

Hi ma'am. Sorry I've been busy.

Before I go on, I'd like to on a lighter note request that a trophy similar to that given to d German world cup winning team be extended to me too. I got you singing lady cheesy. And that's a lot of song up there I have to say grin

Going forward, I'll like to thank you for opening up as much as you did. In an ideal world, you should have no quams dating and eventually marrying your dream man. Dating you even with all its 'complications' should be quite easy nd refreshing I reckon. You should have taken complete charge of this situation from your days in school. For me that's d best place to meet like minds

I say ds because you're a woman of considerable character; independent to a degree, roundly smart nd strong willed, extraordinarily attractive to men but yet, oddly enough, sensitive in her feelings. But hey its never late at any time to make hay. If anything its very refreshing to find a woman set such distinct bounderies of her expectations from life. That's dop£ girl. Very dop£.

Also I think I get where you're coming from in terms of your push to get d man earn more money than d woman. Young folks like us might not understand it now, but I do know we will someday. Otherwise that's a recipe for disaster.

Thanks for your excellent compliment/appraisal of Nigerians even though I find some of them excessive and unmerited. Its unfortunate that d rivalry blw SA nd 9ja has just refused to dip, no thanks to d ever ready confrontational positions of both Govts. I was in Rustenburg for d Super Eagles 1/4 finals match against Ivory Coast at d Royal Bafokeng Stadium last year nd went on to stay another 2days in that city. I must say I met really cool nd hospitable friends some of whom I'm stil in touch with. So I think d whole SA/9ja beef is just on paper.

Well what more can I say? Just take care, follow your heart, don't rush your decision. Overall I think you'll do just fine. Like any pure metallic object in a magnetic field, I'm drawn to d explicit brilliance of your submissions. You're obviously of the smart stock.

Goodluck nd keep us posted.

OP you need to spring a shocker on him by giving him some space to figure what he wants from life and where he really wants to be. NOTE; keyword here been SPACE = SEPARATION and not DIVORCE. I believe in d preservation of d holy matrimony by every means possible.

That said, you can hardly be fingerred in ds situation. I mean you can't be blamed for his genotype status that annuled whatever plans he had with this other woman. Its just too early in d day for him to start

Take the time out to develop yourself career wise. This could be key to solving this quagmire. Get GMAT, SHL, nd GRE texts, arm yourself nd nail that job. I find this OP's obsession with hardwork nd ultimately its direct reward of elite status both charming nd sexy. But I'm also disturbed that such a presumed scholar would be this insecure about the future. You smartly tried to explain these insecurities away by disguising them as pressures nd putting them on d society and family. But even those too are also bollocks. We're all under pressure - make no mistake about that..

Also you're R50k demand from prospective suitors is not unattainable but its also not entirely smart placing it ahead of your goal. Makes the whole thing look like some bilateral contract negotiation.

The truth is you crave an elite lifestyle with your future spouse because you feel you've worked hard to get to where you are and consequently can't accept anything less. That is fair enough. But you should atleast be honest enough to admit that.

Also you've made it clear you're no Mary mother of God. That's bold nd commendable. It also places you in proper perspective as a liberal. If I had my way I personally would not wish to marry one sef. Now as a liberal you should be flexible too in your expectations from from life generally cos with age, I have come to learn that life is not really divided in black and white but in shades of grays and white.

Anyway if one where to put a lock on those coordinates in d profile you reeled out up there, a couple of smart friends (all under 29) returns as search results. But these are boys who will not trade Lagos for ANY place in d world.

So Miss kinkybraids, the question here is why SA? What's in SA? Where you born there? Are you even Nigerian? undecided

Ohh damn. OP's don sign out already cry cry
