Business › Re: Excited Man Flaunts Bundle Of Naira After Exchanging 800 Cedis (Photos/Video) by Leonardo4(m): 2:35pm On Jan 10 |
Richtaiwo: Contrary to the drama he’s trying to stage, nothing, absolutely nothing, is easy anywhere in the world. Life is not a roadside promo where currencies are exchanged with vibes and confidence.
So, since he’s proudly waving that bundle of naira and announcing it equals 800 cedis, perhaps he should also enlighten us, how long did it take him to earn it? Or is he implying that the same sweat that coughs out N800 in Nigeria will magically summon 800 cedis in Ghana?
Yes, a thousand dollars today is roughly N1.5 million. Very impressive. But let’s not insult basic reasoning, is the effort required to earn N1,000 the same effort needed to earn $1,000? Is it equally likely that someone will casually gift you N1,000 the same way an American will casually gift you $1,000? If that were true, birthdays in Lagos would look like Wall Street bonuses.
We constantly hear of people earning $2,500–$3,000 monthly abroad. Fair enough. But has anyone ever heard of someone in US, same job category, same skill level as Nigeria, earning $300,000 monthly in the US? If yes, please provide evidence, not vibes.
Yes, the naira is weak. Nobody is disputing that. But turning every exchange rate comparison into a circus act is unnecessary exaggeration. Currency value is not a comedy skit, and economics is not impressed by social media mockery. Let’s tone down the theatrics and apply a little sense, just a little.
Meanwhile, Ghana redominated its currency not quite long ago. I know most don't even understand what that means. You are grossly ignorant on your take about the dollar , naira . No need engaging you |
TV/Movies › Re: Alaba Boys Printing Fake “LG” Logo On Televisions (Video) by Leonardo4(m): 12:51pm On Jan 10 |
IndexMode: No TV has fake version as much as LG If you don't go to a verified showroom like Fouani, you will buy rubbish.
Also, from my own research, if it's high budget TV you want don't buy Chinese brands like Samsung or TVC. They make good medium end TV but the panel is also similar to what they sell as high end. They just put better casing.
Buy Japanese expensive TV instead. Like Sony Bravia or some Panasonic. Medium budget - TVC
LG is Korean. Their best technology is their oled series. Any other series is just average.
I don't know why it's very common in Nigeria and people ascribe it as the best. That's why guys like this make a big profit from converting TV like Hikers or royal to LG Samsung TV is made by south Korea not China. And it's one of the best tvs in the world |
TV/Movies › Re: Alaba Boys Printing Fake “LG” Logo On Televisions (Video) by Leonardo4(m): 12:39pm On Jan 10 |
Ofodirinwa: No such a thing as a fake television. What so you mean? Elaborate cox it's like you are part of the syndicate Because what he said is FAKE LG TV. Customers are made to believe they are buying original LG tv whereas it's fake they are buying and it's always cheap with low quality picture and android function. The only place you get original LG tv with peace of mind is Fouani group. |

FreeStuffsNG: Demand will fall especially for those selling elastic goods and will later complain about poor sales
They are being naive by thinking short term.
Government is watching them from the back end. The fraudulent businesses will refund that 'tax' they are collecting by taxing people.
Many of them are selling goods with zero vat and earning below the the tax minimum threshold yet they're stealing from their customers. Don't they pay rent.? Landlords have incrrased their rent so what do you expect. You guys always look at this things from one angle |
Business › Re: Businesses, Traders Hike Prices Over New Tax Laws by Leonardo4(m): 6:41am On Jan 10 |
Omalicious1: This is why I keep saying that we are our problem. Those not even affected by the Tax are now the one causing havoc on mostly those exempted from paying tax. Most Nigerians don't read, comprehend and are highly gullible. Smh How will you day they are not affected by the tax. The SME people will always increase goods when their house rent increases definitely. Where should they get the money to pay the increased house rent.? An employer of labour whose workers are taxed when dy are paid monthly salary will increase the cost of his goods and services so he can increase the workers salary. Itaffects everybody including the poor I am not saying taxing is bad. But I think there could have been a better way to do this |

But I trust Wike, he will drag tinubu down and spill it all to the public about the agreement he went into with tinubu in 2023 presidential election that made him rigged Rivers State and even killed Rivers sons and daughters to rig for tinubu in Rivers State. Then he will be prosecuted and go to jail for rigging election. Anything he says will indict him |

Basicend: Yeah. Osimhen is supposed / supported to be praised not harrased by fans. The gives his all to both country and club.
I watched the short video clip of that pass issue scenerio on Youtube, Lookman absolutely wasted that chance and Osimhen was just alone and could have easily scored if the ball was supplied to him.
Before you criticize him again, kindly go and check the video. And what makes u so sure he would have scored? Even Erling Haland, Messi , Rinaldo have missed open goals in the past so who is Osime not to miss. I remember a fame Nani trued to hit a goal bound ball played by Ronaldo against Spain. And the goal was cancelled Cox Nani was off. At the end Ronaldo only shouted threw his hands in the air. He didn't work out of the pitch or went to meet Nani. If it were Osime I think he would have started fighting in th pitch. |

TruthHurts1: Nigeria truly happened to Anthony Joshua.
At the age of 18 in the year 2000, Kaka the Brazilian midfielder suffered a spinal fracture in a swimming pool accident that nearly paralyzed him. He made a full recovery, went on to win the 2002 World Cup, and later received the Ballon d'Or in 2007.
There are literally many examples from Formula 1 of drivers surviving high speed, high impact collisions and they still go on to have thriving careers and live normal lives.
In more advanced countries, athletes survive car crashes.
In Nigeria accidents end your career. What would you say about Diogo Jota |

So you might say it was too obvious but my brother, that's the one place and only place Osimhen could have corrected that... You are jut supporting evil. If he tries what he did in a team like madrid, mancity , Barcelona or any big European team he will be relegated to b team and that will be d end of his career. He tried that with napoli and he regrets the outcome today. No player should have a physical altercation with team mate and requesting to be substituted then storming out of field. No no no. Mayflowa: You guys are not nice. This reflects on poor management. Because he shouted on a teammate, management would ask Osimhe to leave?? Many top player have a high passion for their game so much so they act of order when they they lose a game or any opportunity. When you are in the game, it's a different spirit. Why punish him instead of uniting the team spirit. To punish someone out of the game follows a methodical process and they voted to discipline him even with all of the online insults Osimhe received. So we want to destroy the team because of one incident I can't believe y'all are supporting his harsh discipline. He asked to quit himself try and read the write up na.
