2 killed as Militants burnt down Imo general hospital, Entraco office, 7 cars, tricycles and house


reports that barely few days after militants surrendered their arms in Owerri, the Imo state capital, two people have been confirmed dead, many others critically injured, eight vehicles set ablaze with many others badly wounded in a clash between militants and operatives of Imo Security Watch.
Crises ensured when militants from Oguta and Ohaji/Egbema local governments who were on their way to the state capital to surrender their arms in obedience to the state Government amnesty programs for militants in the state, clashed with the operatives of Imo security watch, an internal security outfit in the state at the control post Junction in the metropolis.
It was gathered that the militants and the security men engaged in a heated altercation which escalated, leading to a gun duel which claimed the life of one of the militants, whose remains was taken to the Imo Specialist Hospital.
Further, it was gathered that the militants irked by the attack, reinforced and stormed the hospital for a reprisal attack.
Sources who pleaded anonymity said unable to retrieve the remains of their slain member, made the militants to throw caution in the air, and set four vehicles ablaze, tricycles, destroyed another three and set the hospital building on fire which was immediately quenched in the process.
Further, they stormed the office of Imo Security Network on Aba road where they allegedly shot an official dead, injured another badly, set four vehicles ablaze with other vehicles vandalised.
Also affected was the office premises housing ENTRACO.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, Mr Andrew Enwerem, a Deputy Superintendent of police, DSP, disclosed that two persons have been confirmed dead with another injured, while about 14 vehicles were set on fire and destroyed by the rampaging militants.
The police spokesperson disclosed that arrests have been made in connection to the crime, adding that the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Taiwo Lakanu quickly moved in and restored normalcy in the areas

Citing the need to replicate development in all 637 communities of Imo State, Governor Rochas Okorocha has directed all taxable adults in the 27 local councils to pay N3,000 as development levy.

The governor, who gave the directive at the weekend while inaugurating the state’s Development Council and presenting adult registers to government representatives in Owerri, urged the people to face current challenges and pay for their benefits, adding that every taxable adult must register.

House of Assembly Speaker, Acho Ihim, reminded the audience of the Imo State Traditional Rulers and Autonomous Law which mandates that a community must have a minimum population of 2,000 for it to be recognised by government.

The Commissioner for Community Government, Culture and Traditional Affairs, Innocent Eke, said the Community Government Council (CGC), put in place by the current administration, had decentralised power and empowered communities, as the people now participate in the management of their affairs.
The chairman, Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Sam Ohiri, assured execution of the order.

I never argued there is no bad road in Imo but I wrote that no State is better off in the Southeast as we faced same neglect under successive Governments expecially that of Jonathan which has left almost the entire roads in SE cut off. Owerri has the least bad roads among all cities of its size aside maybe Enugu which it shares same number of few bad roads with. If there are 20 bad roads in Owerri is what I mean.

Those roads are too few compared with any city in Nigeria. I can mention 100 in Port Harcourt where I reside.

Imo State has very good roads. The only bad road is that Imo boundary with Rivers State which is less than 5km and will soon be completed.

Good Imolites thank you for speaking up. This is the same Owerri the hopeless Abagworo has been deceiving people about. The truth is gradually coming out. When I said that almost all the roads in Owerri and Imo state are terribly bad some people thought I was exaggerating it.

Imo State has very good roads. Forget the focus on only bad spots. Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta have very good roads. The only bad road is that Imo boundary with Rivers State which is less than 5km and will soon be completed. Anambra has worse roads but the focus is not on the bad part so mentioning Obiano here doesn't make sense. If it was him that attracted 2billion Dollar investment it would have made more news for most Ignos that hate Okorocha.

This is the second time you talked about Scriptures without providing scriptural reference to show us that you know what you are saying. In order not to dismiss you as ignorant, provide references in your next reply.

Anybody can peer review documents, especially for the purpose of education as we are doing here, we necessarily do not have to be experts in the subject area, only just to enlighten ourselves we take what is needful. Many sources; scientific, esoteric, and Scriptural have been provided to give support to my argument.

Now you provide source for your conviction that sex must be had without inhibition.

Here the author is quoting the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) study he or she links to. Unfortunately, the full study is behind a paywall so I can't see it. However, the quoted abstract does not emphasize "sexual intercourse" in all caps like the author does. More importantly, the author ignores the fact that it's considered a
possible source.
Interestingly, the author links to the Plos study but ignores its findings. Here's what they say:
