Sincerely I don't see it as a tunnel neither do I see it as interchange. I believe its a low budget traffic decongestant that will play the role of tunnel or interchange. I foresee many States borrowing this idea in near future because its definitely affordable.
that's the problem, that particular spot is not and has never experienced the kind of traffic that justifies that....that....thing. there are problematic spots in the town were such a structure will be deemed necessary, not there.
Another thing, you said it was temporary.
at 400m?!!??
Politics › Re: 1st Owerri Semi Tunnel/Interchange Nearing Completion (photos) by Leopantro: 6:35pm On Jul 09, 2016
Abagworo:
This ingenious because it will serve the purpose of an interchange at an extremely reduced budget. If an interchange will cost 4billion Naira this mini one should be 400 million. The major disadvantage I see in this mini is the height which is not enough for high vehicles like trucks and tankers. Future modifications of this idea might require making the tunnel high enough for trucks.
that is the major road leading to port Harcourt, the adjoining roads are all bad and can't withstand the capacity of such large trucks. which roads should the trucks take?

when you see something good, you say so. he has created many adjoining roads in owerri, round about, street lights , 21 non functioning hospitals, privately owned state of art diagnostic center.
he has done great things

speaking about beautification of the town,I believe the town has a master plan? one year ago the Governor started the beautification of Orlu road and placed cement slabs over the gutters and painted the sides of the road.
one year later he bought a new pair of glasses and discovered that the master plan actually said the Orlu road should be dualized. so he destroyed the gutters and slabs he built and started the dualization without compensation to owners of properties.

here is an intellectual human being speaking.
why would an intelligent human being degrade himself to play with ants? we would be like interesting entity for superior beings.

as to the question, are they real? the Chinese just spent 18 billion dollars to build a telescope to search for extra terrestrial life. ask yourself this question, NASA has a spaceship in space with live feeds from various cameras viewing different parts of space for so many years . someone or some group of individuals are doing a wonderful job making sure you don't know what is really going on.

The International Space Station’s live video feed allows space enthusiasts to view the Earth and outer space via cameras that are fitted underneath the orbiting structure. On numerous occasions, there have been sightings of objects claiming to be alien visitors, which are almost always proven to be something much more mundane—such as space debris. However, a number of times, NASA has appeared to have severed the live feed seconds after strange objects have come into the camera’s view. This not only creates suspicion among already suspicious UFO hunters and enthusiasts, but tends to lend a little credibility to the fact that NASA does indeed have something to hide.
Recently, in March 2016, the feed was cut when a “horseshoe” shaped UFO appeared to come into view. Alien hunter Tyler Glockner, who uploaded the footage onto his YouTube channel, stated that NASA “had been doing this for years,” and that his channel has documented this for some time. He stated that sometimes the people monitoring the feed are simply not quick enough, and
on several occasions , UFOs have been visible for some time before the screen “goes blue” and the feed is cut.
In January 2015, the live feed was also cut several seconds after a small grey object came into view, which appeared to be leaving the Earth’s atmosphere. The aforementioned Glockner claimed to had caught a similar example from June 2014 on a video he uploaded to his channel. The video managed to freeze frame on what appeared to be a large triangular space craft coming out of the darkness of space, approaching Earth. Six months earlier, another video appeared to show NASA cutting the live feed, when a strange yellow craft was said to be “docked” to the space station. On this particular occasion, the footage was left for two minutes before the blue screen took its place.

I didn't really understand what the hype was about earphones ; use to buy the N200 types until someone sent me his brand new S3 for repairs. He sent the whole package ; earphones and charger. I tried his earphones and it says like I have been deaf before. I could hear crystal clear music with undertone notes in music I have never heard before.plus it had voice cancelling capacity ; at moderate volume I can't hear any ambient noise. Listened to Enya and had goosebumps. Threw all the old earphones into the dustbin.
Being afraid of loosing the earphones I took it to the market and spent two hours trying out earphones ; I would listen to a song on the original earphones and do the same with the fake ones. Eventually found a guy selling similar earphones.
Using fake earphones is like driving a 504 when you have a lambogini

Programming › Change Your Password NOW by Leopantro(op): 6:35am On May 06, 2016
Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft email users, it may be time to change your passwords again; a hack database containing login credentials for 272.3 million victims’ was recently acquired by security research firm, Hold Security . The accounts include hacked passwords of users with email accounts at Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Mail.ru, one of Russia’s most popular email services. Even more alarming, however, is the price at which the database was acquired: a single positive comment on a hacker forum.
That’s right. Some 1.17 billion records with over a quarter of a billion hacked email passwords were handed over to Hold Security founder, Alex Holden in exchange for just one thumbs up on a dark web forum .
Holden has played a central role in uncovering several major data breaches that affected millions at companies like Adobe Systems , JPMorgan and Target. According to
Reuters , Holden’s hacked email database acquisition is one of the biggest collections of stolen credentials to be uncovered since the massive round of cyber attacks that hit major U.S. banks and retailers two years ago.
"Street Cred": How And Why Dark Web Hackers Try To Earn It
But if the breach was so large, why was the hacker willing to turn it over for no monetary gain? Basically, to earn street cred in the cyber-criminal world. According to Holden, who frequently lurks around Dark Web hacking forums, he recently discovered the young Russian hacker bragging about a massive database of stolen credentials he’d acquired – 1.17 billion records in all.
The hacker was asking 50 roubles (less than $1 in American currency) to access the files, but Holden was able to gain the database for free if he would just leave a positive comment about the hacker on an underground hacking forum.
Underground hacking forums or message boards can only be accessed on the dark web via Tor Onion router, as browsers like Google do not index them. Gaining access to such forums – even the novice ones -- often requires knowing someone who can vouch for or invite you.
While the Dark Web can be used as a secure means of communicating by activist, journalists or individuals living under oppressive regimes, it is also a hotbed of illicit activity . Just as young delinquents might roam back alleys of big cities, finding and forming alliances with like-minded individuals, young hackers lurk on novice hacking forums. There, they can learn new techniques or beat their virtual chests, offering up gang initiation-like hacking feats in hopes of getting upvotes and positive comments from members of the community. As their street cred increases, hackers are sometimes invited to join even more exclusive forums where big-time cyber criminal activity is plotted and planned. Moving up the underground hacker ladder was likely why the Russian hacker surrendered such a large database free of charge.
Who Is Impacted By The Russian Email Hack? Should You Be Worried?
According to Hold Security, of the 272.3 million login credentials obtained 42.5 million of them were brand new, and have never been exposed before, making it one of the largest the researcher has ever seen. However, it may not necessarily be a reason to panic.
While the database does include millions of login credentials, it doesn't mean Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Mail.ru servers themselves have been hacked. Rather, the hacker gathered the data from breaches of smaller or less secure websites where people use their email addresses along with a password to log in. Since many people use the same passwords across various websites, it is those individuals who will be affected and should change their passwords.
The extent of the damage done by this breach has not yet been quantified, as all affected email providers are currently conducting their own investigations, but thus far
they've found no major causes of concern .
Nonetheless, anyone with an email account at Mail.ru, Gmail, Yahoo or Microsoft that has used a similar password on another web account should change their passwords as soon as possible, and follow
best practices for creating secure passwords . As more is learned about the impact of the breach, we’ll be sure to provide an update.

Fadelex:
and next time you're traveling, you should also ensure you have money to pay for your medical bill in your pocket just in case you're involved in an accident.
In the same line of thinking, when fulani herdsmen attack your location, don't depend on the police to offer security.

You now understand why your reasoning was flawed

If you need further proof of the benevolence of the police, read below.

A Lagos-based lawyer, Olajide Sipe, is in a critical condition at a private hospital after he was tortured and shot at by some soldiers on the 7th Avenue, FESTAC Town, Lagos State.
It was learnt that the officers were deployed in the community to guard the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation pipelines.
They were, however, said to have left their duty post for the Mobil Filling Station on 23 Road to coordinate motorists queueing for fuel on Tuesday.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the victim was driving home in his Toyota Camry when he was held by a gridlock on the road.
The soldiers were reported to have stopped a bus on the the road.
Olajide was said to have advised one of the officers to park the bus by the roadside to free up the gridlock they created.
As he drove off, the soldiers reportedly mounted a motorcycle and began to chase him. It was said that they shot at him, but the bullets hit the car’s back tyres.
They were said to have waylaid him on 72 Road, where they tortured him, rendering him unconscious.
Narrating his ordeal to PUNCH Metro, Olajide, who is married with a child, said his only mistake was that he advised the soldiers.
He said, “I went to buy bottles of water for my family and on my way back, I got to Mobil Filling Station and I discovered there was traffic, which was caused by a bus on the road.
“A solider stood in front of the bus and was telling the driver something. I was in my car when I advised him that he could have asked the driver to park by the roadside, instead of inconveniencing other road users.
“He asked who I was to advise him. I told him I was only trying to give a solution, but he started drawing closer to me with his gun. I was alarmed.
“Another officer stood at the front of my car and started kicking one of its headlights. He had a jerrycan in his hand with which he smashed my windscreen. As I drove off, I saw that they had become four and had mounted a motorcycle and were chasing me. I was afraid.
“When I got to 7th Avenue, I made a U-turn, but because they were coming with speed, they couldn’t do that. I looked back and saw one of the soldiers, kneeling down and aiming his gun at me. He shot at my car twice. The bullets deflated the two back tyres.”
He said he pulled up and came down to pacify them, adding that the men pounced on him.
A witness, who did not identify himself for security reason, said the officers would have killed the Ogun State indigene but for the intervention of a senior military officer.
He said, “What caught people’s attention were the gunshots. They used planks to hit his head and one of them carried a big stone to smash his skull.
“He was stabbed two times in the body. One of them wanted to use a dagger to cut him when a military officer, who was passing by, intervened. He showed them his ID card and that was when they left him. As they were going, they vandalised his car.”
It was learnt that residents, who knew the victim, rushed him to the Mercy Gate Hospital, a private medical facility in the area.
The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Solomon Ekundayo, said the victim sustained serious injuries.
He said, “When he was brought in, he was in a bad state; he had lacerations in the head, including one that was very deep. He was also traumatised, while his face was drenched in blood.
“We had to admit him and do everything possible to stabilise him and suture the lacerations. We will still need to investigate and ascertain the state of his internal organs. Injuries like this can affect the liver and other organs of the body and even the brain. We also plan to do a CT scan of the brain to find out the extent of the injuries to his brain.”
Our correspondent gathered that the victim, who initially lost consciousness, later gave the contact of his family members.
The case was said to have been reported at the FESTAC Police Division.
A family member, Bunmi, asked the government to give justice to his brother, saying the officers should be fished out and punished.
He said, “Those officers wanted to kill him. They were posted to the 7th Avenue to check activities of pipeline vandals; they had no business at any filling station. We want them fished out for punishment.
“We also want the military authorities to clear my brother’s medical bills, repair his car and compensate him. The case should not be swept under the carpet.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that the police had started investigations.
She said, “We got a report that one Olajde Sipe, who lives in FESTAC Town, was attacked by four unidentified men in army uniform on 72 Road, FESTAC Town. Efforts are ongoing to trace the alleged soldiers.”
Our correspondent gathered that a lieutenant, identified as A.I. Sadi, denied that the officers were the ones guarding pipelines in the community.
A source said, “But, we think he was trying to cover up for them because they were on illegal duty. The victim said he can recognise at least two of them.”
The Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Kingsley Samuel, said the army had got in touch with the victim and was making efforts to apprehend the culprits.
He said, “We are in touch with the victim and he has given us the details of what happened. We have started our investigations and will ensure that the culprits are punished. Nobody is above the law.
