Perhaps the EU is unaware of what is called a "Sovereignty State". The day Nigeria became a Federal Republic, sovereignty was bestowed on her, so giving demands will take both pleas and grace/miracle for its demand to be granted. That said, Mr Kanu should have been released long ago as he is a citizen of a democratic government but the I was told that in a third world country, laws are only obeyed by the poor and not the elite. If Mr Kanu is a national security according to the president, then a house arrest should be implemented but first the law should be obeyed.
