Nairaland GeneralRe: Homeless Man Feeding On Sacrificial Food In Lagos by LeOstrich: 5:17pm On Mar 11, 2013
Realest123: If you live in Nigeria, then you should be familiar with this. Often times we see these plates filled with food and left on the side of the road. It's called Ebó - a ritual offering or sacrifice as dictated by divination, which sometimes involves the offerings of cooked foods.

This homeless man was seen yesterday at Bakara Junction, Palm Groove, Lagos feeding on ritual food and even packing the rest inside a Nylon. Sad!
what is sad is the ediot who thinks letting food rot in the name of feeding a diety or god will bring him/her prosperity.

Guy! dine on.

When I was in boarding house we used to sneek out to a river close by.

One day we stayed late up till about 6pm and where able to witness a ritual offering going on.

The voodoo priest or whatever they are called asked the magga to bring canned food including several bottles of coke and a chicken to be thrown into the river as offering.

By co-incidence the next day (being a saturday) we went to the river bank and as the case maybe there was a low tide and the river bank had receded several metres and lo and behold where canned foods (baked beans, sardines, gesha, corned beef, sweet corn , etc).

Being the semi-starved boarding students we naturally helped ourselves to the offerings that had stuck to the mud bank.

We made it a habbit to visit the river bank early each morning when the tide was low to scavenge for "offerings".

Boarding house come sweet no be small.

Soon, the voodoo priests aka 419ers caught hold and switched their offering site. We found out as soon as they switched until they finally changed their river god.

I love religion.

Seun: What about milk? I've found that taking some drugs with milk seems to eliminate the bitter aftertaste. Milk is not acidic, so I guess it should be ok.
YOU STILL HAVEN'T BEEN WEANED ABI?

Milk contains lactic acid for your info.

obi123: also do not take medication with grape fruit juice

grapefruits contain a group of chemicals, furanocoumarins, which can affect drug metabolism – the amount of time it takes for a drug to be broken down by the body.

The chemical inhibits an enzyme that breaks down drugs, this can cause more ‘active’ drug to be present in the body than was intended with the given dose. This can then trigger unpleasant, and sometimes serious, side effects.

Furanocoumarins inhibit an enzyme, cytochrome P450 3A4, that is responsible for the inactivation of approximately half of all drugs.

LADIES BEWARE ,THIS COULD BE WHY SO MANY BIRTH CONTROL PILLS DON'T WORK!!

PoliticsRe: Things About IBB, Nigeria's Military President by LeOstrich: 2:54pm On Mar 11, 2013
Big B1: IBB still the only entity that has the capabilities to positively turn things around in Nigeria.
Too bad that most of us are still not smart enough to clearly understand why IBB would have been the best president to be elected in 2011.
I see you are an avid recycler of dead beat politicians.

Well, it does make sense to recycle given that most of our land fills are full and dumping the likes of IBB in the Ocean will amount to throwing toxic waste into it. The option of having the likes of IBB incinerated will also negatively affect the ozone layer and atmosphere at large.

I agree with you. Lets find him a safe and cushy place in Aso Rock to rule Niggerz.

lacasa: #.. How brave was your own father?
angry
Implying that Bravery translates to the ability to kill and loot money

Implying that a crook who can get away with his crime in a country that condones criminality is a genius.

Your father will be proud!
