i will advise that you relax your mind. Your wife being pregnant or having a new baby before/during and after your interview is a natural occurence and not a fraud.
If for instance your wife gave birth before your interview, all you need to do is to fill a new form for the baby and send it as email to KCC alongside the baby's picture and also remember to copy lagos embassy.
On your day of interview, go with a copy of the mail you sent to KCC and reply gotten afterwards. With this procedure, i don't see you having any problem.
Note: don't forget to go with enough proof to back it up. Like photos of your wife during pregnancy and others.

dammymye: Help me shout a big HALLELUYAH! My brothers and sisters in the house! I came i saw and i conquer with the help of God i had a successful interveiw today at Lagos embassy. Here is the experience!
I got there 5:15 am and started the security checks by 6:30 am. After all the checking and the payment has been made and documents collected (o'level certificate,birth certificate,police report,medicals, 3 passport photographs, E-passport and my university admission information page all originals and photocopies. . I waited few hours for my ticket number to be called! After i was called by this sweet black angel in window 13. I signed my forms,took the oath of truth and finger print was taken. The chatting began.
CO: good morning sir!
ME: good morning ma!
CO: Tell me what you are doing in Nigeria now?
ME: i told her.
CO: interesting!
She then told me my visa has been aproved and to pick it up next week friday at the circled address. And also handed me another sheet telling me that i should pay the immigrant fees here before livin or when i get to US. She then asked another question.
CO: have you been to US before?
ME: i answered her with smile!
CO: thank you
ME: thank you too!
All we did together was just chatting nothing really serious. We were just laughing and smiling at each other! All glory to God Almighty Who took perfect control of everything!
You my family here made it possible. Thanks to you all! I love you all! Success is surely ours IN JESUS NAME! Stay blessed house!

Without much ado, I will just go straight to the interview experience proper. But mind you, my wife was the principal applicant. She played as single before we married last year before the DV result.

Wife : Yes
CO: Can I see? (At this stage she was very busy typing and staring into the computer. She did not bother to check the courtship pictures) She then asked my wife to call me. As I was approaching the window, she said to my wife - give me a minute I want to get some papers.
Wife: Alright ma - Now I am standing beside my wife and she was whispering into my ear. Then the CO returned with two papers and gave our original documents back to us.
CO: MR & MRS blah blah blah, congratulations your visas have been approved. Welcome to America. Go to the circled address to pick up your visas next week Fri. She then explained something to us about how to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee but we werent really paying attention because we were very excited. My wife was just smiling and saying thank you, thank you, thank you ma! The CO was just smiling......

My wife did a very good job and I am very proud of her. The only question I was asked was "Did you swear to say nothing but the truth" Which I answered "Absolutely yes"



Lessons:

* Be prayerful
* Prepare very hard
* When academic question is asked, don`t give definations but explanation and keep explaining until the CO ask you to stop.
* Speak out loud and look straight into the CO`s eyes.
* If married, say things the way they are. Don`t fabricate.
* Make sure you are able to defend whatever qualification you are claiming.
* Another thing I observed from other interview experiences is that, the CO usually start their academic questions from your highest level of education and if you are able to explain very well, they will not bother to ask you questions from your SSCE.

@Adzovia: don't get me wrong please. Read my post very well. I said, it's a plus for you if you have a ''trusted'' host that can pay the fee on your behalf while you pay in cash when you get there.
If you are the type that is doubtful of your host, just follow the stated instructions on their website. Anything confusing here?

@all: still on the new fee that takes effect from 1st of Feb, 2013.
It is clearly stated that, ''if you are unable to make this payment, another person can make this payment for you.''
To me, writing any embassy is a loooooooooong thing. Just follow the stated instructions. That's all.

It is applicable to both the Principal and his/her beneficiary(ies). Effective 1st Feb, 2013

since it was issued on 29th Jan 2013, you are exempted from paying.
The fee is effective Feb 1st.
