Fear of death that is losing a partner. |
Lol,she's beautiful. ![]() |
Congratulations to them |
gothrones: I find it interesting that so many men always complain about how picky and how unrealistic women's expectations of men are. You are doing exactly what so many men complain that women do to them. If you were in this guy's shoes, and the lady in question has your mentality, you would be here castigating all the women in the world. No one has said it better. When a woman leaves a man due to his low financial status,he will call her many bad names but a man can advise his own sister to leave her poor boyfriend for a better guy,she is normal simply because she is his sister. |
“from Allah we come and unto him we shall return.” My her soul rest in peace and my Allah forgive her sins. |
Afam4eva: Nigerians were not born lawless. The society makes them one and this society is a prerogative of the government and if the government fails to do their job then people will assume a mind of their own. Government should not blame anyone cos they out Nigerians in this mess and they should clean it up. Imagine trying to correct a decay that has become the norm and you think the people that have been affected psychology will stand up and clap for you.Exactly my point earlier.in Nigeria today, more than half of the population by default is tensed up and they flare up at any little bad occurence. They cannot blame anyone else but the govrnment. |
larride: My dear, if someone is giving a little tip and he carrys out an henious act, if that person is caught, he will be dealt with, he has a choice to either accept or reject the offer, the moment he accept the full responsibility of what he does lays with him. Its as simple as that. Don't forget that these government ain't structures but they are people drawn out of us, they were once just like us the masses.Nice one,it is easier said than done. The individual would love to reject such offers but the hunger and frustration in him would not allow that. You cannot ask an hungry man to reject a tip. No one wants to die. Everything is an act of survival. |
The Elected persons among us contribute greatest to the societal problem. People live in abject poverty and when they are approached and tipped with little packages, they wouldn't mind carrying out henious activities. An individual has a blame but the government has the largest blame. |
larride: So true. I have always said that the change we so much desire must start with us. Let's change our mindsets towards the society at large. Even our so called leaders are chosen among us. They will come distribute some little rice and other stuff to buy your vote instead of you voting for the best candidate for the job, when they start looting the treasury with reckless abandon we start to complain like those leaders falls from Pluto. We will fall on the same page here. Every change indeed begins with an individual. We are our own government, for ourselves and by ourselves. Every individual get on the seat of power with just one “aim”,“let me get there and eat my own share” not caring about where s/he arose from. |
larride: We don't have to be remembered about the bad governance issue but there are some things that we do that also support the bad governance. The sole responsibility to move our life/family lays in our hand regardless of how bad the government is, what we make of the situation we find ourselves determine the kind of person we are. Sometimes we just take law into our hands and do all kind of atrocities and then we come blame the government for bad governance, we are as guilty as they are. If we are responsible to all our actions in our house and then later transfer it to our social life, then things can begin to change. Don't forget that these leaders were chosen among us, what they are displaying over there at the top is the mindset of an ordinary nigerian.Good, but could you tell me the number of people that have the opportunity to turn a bad situation into a good one in Nigeria today? I need to use just one word “opportunity”. See there are many things every individual would like to do (good) but the room to do it is not just there. It is the situation we find ourselves in nigeria today,No one was born a criminal. |
larride: That's it bro. Lastma official arrested my granddad some few months back because he packed on the road side which he shouldn't. After everything was settled out and he came home, he was busy cussing Gov Fashola and Lastma official and I told him that the blame lays solely with him. IF he hadn't packed on the road side, the lastma official won't have impound his car but he won't agree, he just keep blaming the govt. I told him point blank that his action leds to what happen but won't accept any responsibility for that.If they do not do robbery or girls do not go into prostitution, how do they survive? Who is responsible for the high crime rates in Nigeria? The society or the government? ![]() |
Ishsoph: Its human nature quite alright but its more of 'country specific'. For example, certain societies/countries of the world hav core values they based their daily decisions on, and are willing to pay the price (ie take responsibility) of even mistakenly oversteping the bounds of these. In naija many wil knowing overstep these bounds and try to dodge the resultant penalty(responsibility), even complaining bitterly for having been forced to take resp. for their actions.Yes I get the point spikes tried to raise so I would accept it as “country specifi”c really. We can take nigeria for example,we blame the govt on almost everything but this is because the govt gave us a reason to blame them for everything. |
spikes C: We blame our government for most things. If person child fall for gutter, na government faultOh in this context you mean. Well I will attach such behavior to ignorance or sometime lack of enlightenment. At the same time,we don't have to forget that certain things that happen to us as Nigerians are caused by bad governance. The root of most problems in Nigeria is poverty so by default, everyone is tensed thereby putting every blame of misfortune on the government. |
Beautiful nails though I don't like artificial nails,I prefer it natural and long moreover I learnt the glue that holds the plastic nails spoils the natural nails. |
spikes C: Politics is fun if discussed with matured minds.Being responsible for one`s action or not is not “country specific”,it is human nature, unless there is another context in which you are trying to drive to. |
spikes C: Maybe allI hate to talk about politics,it is a sad tale. Human relation is better. ![]() |
spikes C: I think everyone will place an opinion based on religion. And i would not like a religious war this evening. So what should the next topic be? Love, money and/or sex. ![]() |
