Let no one deceive you... even 100k cannot get you a pedigree GSD |
This is just too annoying!!! Jeeez!! Which stupid vet did you even patronise!! And you're sure she was vaccinated? |
Booked too ![]() |
We had a little bag of dry dog food and she enjoyed it because it tasted differently from the chicken I took a bit from my hand and I held it to her face, she lunged at it wildly!! I raised it above her head slowly.... rather than going slowly into the sir position, she jumped and left a scar of my fingers with her teeth (the scar is still on my hand till date).. I took the kibble away and left the room and I returned again and I made sure to leave if she jumped!! She got the gist real quick and I rewarded her.. next thing I did was to gently press her back down to the sit position and I said SIT and have her a kibble! I repeated the manoeuvre 9times and by the tenth time, once I said SIT before I could touch her back, she went down to the sit position reluctantly and she was rewarded heavily and she did well throughout that day but when I tried it the next day......... |
The SIT was the first command I taught the new pup! She is an high energy, bite and bark happy, and an hooligan of no comparison!! It was unexpected from a boerboel as I've had years of experience with German shepherds and it wasn't this troublesome and most of the boerbabies I dealt with were very calm and a joy to behold! I would have considered selling her immediately but she had a nice pedigree and the breeder was very kind and not too pricy(even with the fact that we got documents and all).... she would run around plot of land wildly and would never stop and completely ignores us The experience was near frustrating but I endured! She was strictly on raw chicken and she loved it, so I took the golden opportunity to teach her the SIT |
I completely forgot about this thread, I'll send pictures and experiences with a puppy and let you experience the training from a practical POV |
Lovely **thumbs up** |
LordRegalia:My exact thoughts too when I read OP's quote OP, well, experience is the best teacher..... feeding your dog in trying times or (if you feed the dog substandard meals) watching the dog growing like a runt while it's littermates look massive ( and you mentioned earlier that your fancy big dogs) would only cause resentment and regrets and you may unleash the anger on the innocent dog My advise is start from a toybreed or a medium sized dog and you'll be grateful later!! |
Still for sale ??I'm willing to buy in an heartbeat |
ryeechzzi:Another indication that you're unfortunately not able to care for a large breed!!! I don't think anyone will buy a quality dog and feed it food poor in protein while it's still growing.... ask Lordregalia what he feeds his pups and I'm sure you'll be shocked |
Preshivano01:And tell me how you came by that suggestion!! What does a German shepherd have that she lacks? |
galaxy15:Subtlety bruhh... Subtlety!!! There are polite ways to make your suggestion to OP and the above was needless Cheers bruhh! |
ryeechzzi:Easier said than done especially when you mentioned the fact that you have access to good food to feed it!! My brother, I was once in your shoes and I can tell you, it ain't easy!! Josera puppy is now 18k, pedigree can food is 400 per can from local retailers, feeding a large breed puppy to your taste is very tasking, 400 Naira per meal for can food to mix with the Josera is 1200 per day and 36k monthly excluding the amount used to buy the dry food Not to mention vaccinations!! Multivitamins!! Some random essentials like leash, collars and chew toys /treats!! My brother , I had the same mentality some months back and I can tell you categorically that - na money for phone/laptop naim the dog dey consume within 2months (zero joy)!!! Not at all ooo!!! Buying the puppy/dashing isn't the problem but if you don't have cash to procure a puppy, you definitely won't have cash to feed the puppy in a balanced way! Let's use Cocci as an example, he offers you a free pup from his litter and expects you to take good care of it and then he stumbles on you feeding the pup waste from the canteen or food deficient in protein,he won't be happy and encouraged!! My advise is save enough money, start from a toy breed and I promise you, you won't regret!!! but asking for a large breed is now pushing your luck I'm sure you haven't seen where boerboels eat, if you have, you'll stay away until you're ready Have a good day bruhh and good luck in your quest for man's best friend |
FrancisAdl:I'm sure you didn't see any whitish thingy around its black mask!! The dog OP posted is a brindle boerboel |
Final whistle and Nigeria wins AFCON women's cup!!!!! Congrats to us!!!!!! P.S : I love the time wasting tactic that our keeper employed |
Goal!!! We're winning this competition!!!! See the looking on the faces on the Cameroon supporters ![]() Oparanozie ain't got no chill ![]() |
emmanuel596:I agree he seemed immature but you're bordering on being extremely immature, your reply was rash and impulsive bruhh!!! |
Well, I hardly comment on dog's sale threads but on careful observation (of the puppy), the number tattooed on her ear is different from the one in the certificate above E6B803 is written on the certificate but another thing is tattooed on her ear.... I may be wrong, idk but who knows. .. their ways may be different in Russia as I definitely haven't imported from there .. |
Well let's stop trading words like market women!!!! What's happening to the pup? Who is picking it up? The pup must be hungry by now! The pup made two trips in a very short period I'm not one to judge but if any of you is a true dog lover, just save that pup before its too late! |
