Just like Warren Buffet said, "you can't simply simply have a baby now by making 9 women pregnant. Some things just take time". You will be right to evaluate on a mid/long term basis. Evaluating governance on a short term is simply being "mischievous". |
awesome11:I say a big AMEN to this. As it has been decreed, so shall it be. |
Good to know that one of my dream came true. Waiting to see if the second one will come to pass before I declare myself a self made prophet. Meanwhile, congratulations to the President-elect, Gen Muhammadu Buhari for a well deserved victory. |
appini: tellmemore15:You guys should make up ur mind. Who do we blame; Idiagbon or Buhari cos it doesn't make sense remembering someone for all the atrocities committed if that person was not the one in charge. |
hyfr:Chairman, can you be humble enough to come back and swallow your lie. No dey use my state dey lie. |
kaycid77:Read the highlighted areas and prove to us how you are better than her. |
Posters should be wary of posting sensational headlines. I see nowhere where she ridiculed Buhari, though it may be argued that she was making reference to him. Sadly, she was just reiterating what our constitution requires for anyone running for President. If we have any problem, we should blame it on the constitution which is the supreme law of the land. |
How did this get to front page? |
Montaque:Come on, don't tell me you didn't under that analogy. He was simply trying to tell you how the old can work with the new to provide a perfect synergy. It has nothing to do with comparing Nigeria to a/his village. If history (which is a detailed event of past/old occurrences) was not an important tool for futuristic evaluation, we wouldn't have any need for it. My 2 cents. |
stevecantrell:This is particularly true. Online discuss tend to be leaning in favor of APC at the federal level. Then again like u said, it is yet to be seen if the online debate will be translated to actual votes. |
otokx:Don't you think Tinubu may consider it a small price to pay to attain power at the federal level. He may later use his connection up there to win Lagos back in 2019. My opinion though. I ain't no politician |
First of all, I am not a prophet so this is not a prophecy. Secondly, I am not a politician neither am I sympathetic to any political party. All I want is for our country to be great again. Here is my dream; few days to the end of December 2014, I had a dream concerning the outcome of the coming election. In the dream, I saw 2 things clearly: 1. PDP won Lagos State 2. APC won the Presidential election Like I said, this is not a prophecy but a dream I had and wish to share with fellow Nairalanders. If these things happen, I may have to change my name to Joseph ![]() Please add yours if you have any political dream to share with us. |
Happy New Year to all Nairalanders. Thank you for making the past year eventful. |
City people write, city people read. |
Orikinla:So you are placing this man and Jesus Christ on the same pedestal? |
Dbboy:It is a simple matter. You said I am owing, I came on live tv and said I have paid you and if if have proof of otherwise, please come forward. If a governor signs for payment of salary and it leaves his desk and bureaucracy from Accountant Generals office delays remittance, who would you crucify for it? So bandying the figure N30bn is just to score political points. Didn't know he is now the AG of the state. |
tit:I sincerely do not want to believe that you have comprehension problem. The person you quoted said that Amechi went on tv and challenged anybody with proof that he his owing workers and nobody has come up. You've also been informed that December salary has been signed, yet the only thing you could grasp was that signing and paying are not the same thing. Pray, tell me, are you now saying N30bn is just salary for December alone. You guys can be pathetic atimes. |
HugeMac:If you have proof of what you have just typed, please come forward. |
Lachynos2k2: . This one is for people like us who never liked maths. Thanks for reminding me of the good old play days. |
Emphany:I fear for the future of Nigerian youths which includes you. People who swallow every line thrown at them hook, line and sinker. Youths who lack deductive reasoning. I assume that you are a graduate and befuddles me how you can't ask questions when an issue is raised just because of your myopic and parochial sense of reasoning. You want to tell me that if someone comes to you and tells you that he saw your girlfriend being intimate with another guy, you won't ask for proof or try to substantiate the claim. My initial post never said anything about being for or against Buhari or PDP but for the person that initiated the story to show proof so we can know it is true. I have never being a party to "them say, them say". Start using your brain. |
CSTR:If you have proof of the wastage of the N17bn please come forward with it or tell the initiator of this folklore to come forward. In the absence of any evidence please stop ranting. |
From what I understood, the question is would you act unclad not would you act an indecent scene? Unclad scene doesn't mean that a close up of your body would be shown or your private parts exposed. Moreover, that's why it is called acting. If you can't play the role and pass across the message, then you shouldn't be an actor/actress. |
mikeansy:And since he left government and is no longer protected by immunity, what have you done to prove that his certificate was a fraud? |
Funny enough, the car has not been registered as can be seen from the pics (both new and damaged). So he may go empty handed. Double wahala. |
First of all, let me make something clear lest people get the wrong notion. I am an ardent music lover and a sucker for good beats. The funkier, the better. I like to hear a beat that will make me sway my body and dance all through the night without worrying my mind. But while I dance and gyrate to the wonderful tunes, let the music at least, have a sensible lyric that I or any other listener can relate to. That is why I shake my head at the sort of lyrics that our naija musicians churn out. In all fairness to them, the music producers make beats that kill. Beats that would make Dr. Dre, Swiss Beats, Jay-Z and Timbaland consider going back for a refreshers course in music 101. I however cannot say the same for the artists. I just read an article on Linda Ikeji by James Omokwe canvassing for an end to garbage music where he analyzed the lyrics to Whizkid's new song 'In My Bed', http://lindaikeji..com/2014/12/hilarious-actor-james-omokwe-trashes.html#more. In my opinion, which I am entitled to as well as any other person, the guy simply said the truth about the lyrical content of the music. This is not limited to Whizkid alone. A whole lot of Nigerian artists are guilty of this; D'Prince, Inyaya, Kcee are the few that comes to mind. This should not misconstrued as a shade on Whizkid or the artists mentioned but as a call on Naija artist to up their lyrical content while delivering a sustainable beat. Dance music just doesn't have to be all about bum-bums, blings and money. Electronic Dance Music (EDM) is form of dance music that makes you want to party all night. In as much as EDMs are purely dance music, you still cant fail to notice the strong lyrical content of the music which you can relate to. Listen to musics by Avicii (Hey Brother), Coldplay (A Sky Full of Stars), Swedish House Mafia (Don't You Worry Child), David Guetta Ft Sia (Titanium). These are popular electronic dance musics that still have powerful lyrical content. While I admit that African style of music is different from western style, we still have to call on our artists to deliver more creative and poetic lyrics. Lets put an end to garbage music. Opinions are welcomed. |
Nice one OP. In as much we may not agree with all the points, some of them are truly unspoken guys code. I cant see myself rubbing cream at a fellow guys back. That is damn crazy. |
Is her bwest about to fall off in that third picture? Why she put hand like Petr Cech. |
You asked for opinions and ended up throwing up thrash at people (even though their criticisms are anything but constructive), but you should have shown enough maturity by playing it down or ignoring it. You will meet interviewers who will bring you down in front of other panelist. If you cant handle anonymous criticism, how would you handle it when it is thrown to you face to face. To answer your question, if you are going for a serious position, discard the attire and look professional. |
I don't know if any other person has their invite date as Saturday, 20th September, 2285. Na from my grave I go come write the test. Lol. |
Why would I want her back when she walked out of the relationship with her eyes wide open. Funny how guys will be fighting for a girl that left them. She should just face her front and keep walking. ![]() |
Simple. I whipped out my 'Johnnie Walker', she took one look at it and said "YES". Keep Walking. |
