Bloghomies:
If the supply of a product is low or zero, the only logical reason in this scenario is the lack of demand.

Just as coronavirus opened up a new market of a nose mask, the same way that seasons like this impact on business - like Christmas!

People lack the patriotic spirit, hence there were no buzz, reminders, preparation, or pre-orders of decorative wears.

This lead to the pathetic state of the current market. The day is not being recognized by both consumers and producers. It's a red sign!
People lack the patriotic spirit?

Have you read about Christopher wiese of Shoprite? If you have not kindly take some time to do so.

If Bezo waited for a flooded market we won't have Amazon as we have it.
PoliticsRe: Are Nigeria’s Walls Truly Falling? by Lethal234(m): 11:49pm On Sep 30, 2020
The APC really did bad by setting the precedent of calumny.

Now they can't fight it without being viewed as overtly Hippocrate, they can't even pass a Media Bill, we all know if done rightly it will go a long way in saving the Nation.

Most of the division today are still amenable because they are largely on the social media, and are just, in there preliminary stages in real life.

And the Politicians can't do anything about the spread because 1. They don't have the intellectual capacity to build the kind of Nigeria the people wants "the best Nation in the world (we like to brag)" 2. They have spent most of their time disinclined to the common man they can't relate with them to try and stop it's spread.

I don't think things are quite easy the way you put it. Of course, there are some opportunists that came from inheriting large capitals. But you should try and understand majority of the youth are from lowly family, that even with Creative ideas they still lack the required capital to do much with it.
America and Europe are financially successful countries today, because the elites in does country invested in the youth back in the days rather than hoard Capital's in Bank.

PoliticsRe: Electricity: Uncertainty, As Discos Bid To Pull Out by Lethal234(m): 10:52pm On Sep 07, 2020
How basic projects like electricity road health and education seem to be a big deal for Government officials to grasp is beyond me.

The reason why electricity seem so difficult is because we are practicing the bottom-up approach why not let's try the top-down approach?.

If distribution is the problem confine it to specific places like only the State Capitals while places like Lagos and Abuja could be given Vvip treatment, anybody that needs electricity should go to the State Capital then from there we can work our way down to the four corners.

Trying to give two hundred million people electricity at a go is insanity. Trying to distribute energy round nine hundred thousand square kilometers all at once is even more so.

Nigeria need to understand the need and use of this four variables and their accompanying variations and mixture:
Urgent
Important
Necessary
And indifference

Electricity to everybody is necessary but not urgent cause to some people it's not important while to some it won't change a thing.

Electricity for industry and gentrification is urgent and important.

The fact is every tribe from the South of Nigeria down to other West Africa countries like Benin Togo etc are descendants of one ancestor. They all migrated here at the same time.

Iponri means soul.

in Yoruba tradition there is no heaven or hell when a person die the soul is said to transport to the end of the world (sanmo) or roams about the universe till it comes back as reincarnation.

Hence, iponri can also mean your earliest ancestor. The original soul.

When somebody say's 'Oba porin e' it means woe betide your forefather.

Nothing serious, just kisses and a scene where a lady was pulling at the belt of the main actor and a leg tease to the scrotum( if that doesn't count as adult content... then). Generally nothing out of the ordinary, if there were I won't have watched or reviewed it.

You should try watching it and don't forget to give me your thoughts later.

Economy only makes 25% of what constitute development, trying to integrate West Africa into one country is ingesting more than can be chewed.

Africa needs a cultural identity do you think that could be gotten from integration's?. At this point any planner and idealist should be thinking long term.

Unless we want to create an America like society in Africa which would be impossible given Africans are morally and spiritual inclined.

America is a liberal society a culture which favor their Democratic Capitalism, liberalism can never fly in Africa.

Seaplanes could also be a thing. An amphibious one can take off and land both on conventional runways , Grassland, and water.

Possible Routes: Calabar - Oron/Ibeno beach/Ikot Abasi ,Warri-Lagos ,Onitsha -Port Harcourt ,Calabar-Ikom, Onitsha -Warri ,Lokoja -Markudi

How many Seaplane Stations does Nigeria have ?
Hey bro, stop wasting your idea's on NL. Expand your imagination to build a great vision then use the same imagination to create a solid plan, that extend into achieving them.

In Nigeria we are not in short of idealist/dreamers but planners and efficient achievers.

Yoruba's are theist, the psychological hold the traditional believe had on them is greater than what 70 years of colonisation could erode.

PoliticsRe: Why The World Is In Chaos! Opinion. by Lethal234(m): 12:35pm On Jul 05, 2020
Humans question the motive of the chicken and the motive of the individual who asked the question, in other to understand the social mechanism behind their action.
In other to better social engineer the Society, either for good or bad.
Note; the asker's also have their motive.

And until the truth is found, the theory of mind is known, questions would always be asked.
PoliticsRe: Africa Is Poor, because Africans Dont Believe In Organised Capitalism by Lethal234(m):
I kind of, can relate with the OPs worry but then I tilt my head side ways to try and see things Objectively, so as to balance the equation.

The problem of Nigeria/Africa is not just about the Politicians and the Rich that don't Invest.

The OP made mention of Hospitals, this should be the duty of Medical Graduates to provide good Health care service for the Citizens.

Perhaps to break it down, a Resident Doctor of 35years old who out of 'frustration' sold off all his properties worth "80million" so he could 'japa'
Could have started a mini clinic with that amount and some he could get as a loan and with the right employees and efficient service could make his name in Nigeria within 10years. But like every Nigerian they prefer Ready Made

Modify: Ok, i made some superfluous information here. just did a quick search to see what Resident Doctors earn.

Medical Officers (Federal) 180 000 - 600 000 (depending on grade)
Resident Doctors (Federal) 220 000-270 000 (registrar's)
Resident Doctors (Federal) 260 000-350 000 (senior registrar's)
Consultant (Federal) 450 000-650 000 (for freshers)

Resident Doctors (private) 120 000-250 000

Covidodo please explain to me/us(since you used most of you) what the fundamental issues bedeviling Nigeria are.
PoliticsRe: Africa Is Poor, because Africans Dont Believe In Organised Capitalism by Lethal234(m): 10:50pm On Jul 02, 2020
Xisnin:
Totally wrong.
First of all, Capitalism has been in existence long before America was found. Europeans have always came together to flag off some Trade or Idea. Plus Capitalism is not all about Finance but also we have intellectual Capitalism, which in fact precedes and birth Financial Capitalism.

What I mean by Family Values in the Society; Nigeria for example practice Extended Family settings in which an Individual has to consider the opinion of every/most Individual in the Family before making decisions, on matters that most times only out to concern them. IE Marriage.

Even though I have little knowledge about Chinese History I think I read somewhere, where, Moi was talking about adopting Chinese Value and Characters rather than foreign Characters.

But then you seem not to see the correlation between Cultural Believe Systems and National Development.

You can't Build a Nation with out History, now are we going to adopt our pre-colonial History? When there was never Nigeria? Like the presenter want's or are we going to Build on our Independent Figures? Like our Politicians want. Somehow you seem not to understand this is a battle one side as to win before any meaningful development can happen.
PoliticsRe: Africa Is Poor, because Africans Dont Believe In Organised Capitalism by Lethal234(m): 8:58pm On Jul 02, 2020
To begin with Africans were never Capitalists, a society that believe in Family Value and Moral upbringing would naturally find it hard to transition into Individuality and Capitalism.

Some time ago I was listening to a presenter on the Radio complaining about our loosing of Cultural Values like language, mode of dressing, greetings etc and I thought to myself, it's still a long shot before Nigerians get it right.

The thing is our Africa Value make us hesitate and doubt every of our Actions.

For Africa to move forward, we need to come together and decide what History we are going to Preserve, Present, and Live by, just like the Chinese did.

I agree SA is falling short and I think it's location in the continent also play a big role in this.

For Naija, I won't hold my breath. 10years is really a short time to solve half the problems we have in this country. But if we stumble upon a leader with vitality and vision perhaps, anything short of that no game.

Between Nigeria and South-Africa, which will develop the african continent, and why?
South Africa is no doubt the most developed country in Africa, but it as reached its limits development wise. I heard most foreign multinational companies now prefer setting up their regional HQ in Nairobi, it used to be SA.

Even though the country as been able to produce some multinational companies (ie MTN, Shoprite, Standard Bank etc) replicating their success across Africa seems hard. Even more so they generally are not Pan African minded.

For Nigeria, well we are still a long way to go, so when we reach the river we will know/decide if we would be able to cross it.
