Hi Gurus in the house, Firstly I wanna say a big thank you to everyone genuinely contributing positively to this platform, you guy’s are heroes. I have been a beneficiary of the tangible information on this platform several times & I’m glad it has saved me a lot of stress and money having lost a fortune to agents in the past. Secondly, I wanna ask if anyone that did biometrics in London is facing the same fate as me. I and my partner were invited by my elder brother who is a permanent resident in Canada for Christmas Holiday but we haven’t heard back from Ircc since July 2023 till now. Several webform has been sent but application still stuck at ‘we are checking your background information’ stage. What could be the cause of the delay? Could it be because I didn’t use an ircc representative? For the record, I have traveled to Benin, Togo, Ghana, UAE, Germany, France, and United Kingdom.

Have you checked the processing period for people applying from UK? Certainly not , if you have then you will know is too early to be expecting Visa from them.

From the information I got, I learnt they will reduce the years on passport to 3 years and fees increased. I'm not that sure if this information is real or not but I can only suggest to anyone interested in applying for passport should do so fast...

If you applied from UK is 535 processing time. So calculate if it has passed

It's been 4 month my spouse apply for a visitors visa and biometric completed. Infant its 118 day now after her biometric was updated to completed. I think there must be an increase in visitors visa application; or maybe they are prioritizing other visas categories like study visa.

My brother you can raise webform now that it has passed 115day's

From Sept 21st till today is not up to 115days , remaining few days . You can be worried after passing 115days as such you can raise a webform.

Though I used an agent,but we have been communicating and very accessible,no doubts about him. The conference I am to attend is over,what are my chances? Why the delay? Is it due to many applicants? Been 3 months you submitted your application has nothing to do with the issuing of your Visa.

You can submit application 3 months ago without doing biometric within the first month so you need to write full explanation if you actually need people's advise and Suggestion and stop giving half information.

please any advice will greatly be appreciated...I received an email from ircc saying "we need something from you to continue processing your application" and when I called the agent to check what message it was .she said ircc requested for an affidavit stating that I will return to my country after visiting Canada... please has anyone here received something like this.

From a friend that got her passport request today ,yours will likely be on the 21st of January. She did biometric on the 27th of August and today they requested for her passport

Hello house, please I’d like to confirm if a brother that has pr in Canada can sponsor/invite his younger brother to get a visit visa. I heard it’s only applies to parents and spouses

He can even invite his friend let alone his brother.

Note: bearing same surname doesn't really indicate he's your brother.

Only if he has included you in his initial application when he started his application

You need to provide solid proof indicating indeed he's your brother such as family photo, a photo you both took, text message or what'sup chats/calls etc.

Please I need you inputs on this.

My Uncle who is a Citizen in USA filed to bring his wife in Nigeria whom he married in 2020 to the United States in that same year 2020.

Luckily after a very long wait time, the USA Embassy in Nigeria called the wife for interview after 2 years in the year 2022.

She went for the interview and was not given the Spousal visa or Green card or whatever they call it

They told her to get more evidence of their marriage as the Visa Officers were not convinced they were married.

They fixed her to come after 2 months from the first interview date.

Before the second interview date, my Uncle in USA fell terribly sick were he could not speak atall.

They could not communicate with themselves at this stage.

She went for the second interview after the two months and was not given visa again.

My Uncle's case got worse that he was even brought back to Nigeria in January 2023.

Now my question is this, in such case, can the wife still get the USA Spousal Visa on her own at this stage?

What can she do to still get the Spousal Visa from here?

My Uncle is still in Nigeria as we speak.

Experienced USA migration experts, what can she do?

I think she has no business in going to USA anymore since her husband is back in town. I think her duty as a responsible and good wife is to take care of the sick husband

Am 10000% sure he did not return....and you think this will not affect others as it happen now ...let be real and understand how immigratiom policy works if we contiune to abuse a system amd thinking the system will not block the loophole.

That how l started the sentence and this should answer ur questiom meaning they applied after August 2023 I was on this forum earlier this year when some individuals,agent, either misinformed or over sabi confident, were discussing LMIA. I warned them, but many still arrived in Canada on a visitor visa and ended up stranded after losing money to agent and fake hope of LMIA, ultimately resorting to claiming asylum unprepared. One person even got kicked out of the forum. So l know people like u and ur aim to create fake hope but
I understand the reality and don't base my words ,actions on sentiment but on facts. Given the current situation and the increasing abuse of visitor visas leading to fake asylum claims, there is a 80% chance that those who applied recently for canada tourist visa without family in Canada or with no travel history will face rejection especially age (18 to 55). We've already started seeing such cases, but people may be shy or embrassed to share their refusals here. Despite negative comments, reality is evident. Feel free to criticize me, as it happened during the LMIA era, but I stand by my words. People may like your comment to maintain hope, but the reality is undeniable. THAT my final words ..do not sell ur property or give any agent money they are not visa officer even if thry get 100 approve earlier it a changing period..be wise and smart!

All this you wrote still doesn't have meaning and doesn't stand as such you can only be refuse visiting Visa if your acclaimed documents are not complete, fake and the likes. Kindly do the right thing and you will certainly be granted Visa.


All I'm saying here are nothing but a statement of fact. For the fact that you are denied based on documents which you think is enough doesn't mean they are indeed enough as the VO deciding on it are not dull.

Sorry you very wrong 100%....canada visit visa used to be very difficult but canada visa rule was relaxed since last year to clear the backlog and many people got visa with little effort and zero travel history but now am telling you it back to normal process becos many thst got visa as tourist end up claiming asylum...leave it or tAke it...that fact am telling you!!

To interest you, 5 of my friends with no history applied for Canada tourist visa Oct 12 and did biometric 18th, of Oct. Got a request to submit passport Dec 22.





But all you need to understand is that you have to submit necessary documents to enable you get a desire request.


Also often times when your appointment is taking to long before getting response from them it is 90% certain you will be granted Visa. But people who get refuser get it very fast within few days/weeks.

When did those your acclaimed friends submit and did biometric?

It has always been like this since. Maybe you are novice or something. If yes, there is what is called documents submitted. As such when your documents aren't okay such as proof of funds, home ties, pay lips, marriage certificate/ pictures, landed property etc do you expect them to grant you Visa? Certainly not. So that's what happens to one's you claimed to have seen. Do the right thing when applying for Visa

Do received email immediately after biometric and capturing?

My main reasons for always against people from this part of the country to be in position of authority. Their love for money is top notch

If yes, it can't affect your capturing

But you should equally try as much as possible to go back for the capturing in time

I really can't remember the expired Time to do your capturing after booking but I think is within a year and shouldn't pass. Thou I really can't remember the exact time.

And if you are lucky it will be done within 6months you applied otherwise na a year plus ooo.

I equally intend doing same but when I see all the stress and money involved , I jejely change the name on my nin and the date of birth on my bvn to correspond with others

I'm applying for a passport renewal, and my old passport carries 3 names. I wish to not use my middle name in the new passport. Is it possible? My NIN and every other required document carries only my first and last names. I hope there won't be any issues with dropping my middle name for the new passport. Please let me know if this would cause any problems or if I need to provide any additional documentation, like newspaper name publication.

You go to Abuja with your relevant documents such as nin , court affidavit and a letter stating the reason for the change. Is going to cost you around 50+ anyways
