I believe the hymn "Count your blessings name them one by one" is to every Christian what the alphabet song is to every child of school age. The big question then is, how many times do we as Christians remember to apply that hymn. I have a friend who I share testimonies with, lately she has been greatly challenged and I have been praying for her and sometimes urging her to share her struggles but she wouldn't. A couple of days ago she called me and said, she has been refusing the urge to pick up her phone and call me to share her struggles but decided to wait and call me and share her victories instead because she knows they will surely come.
That really resonated with me and got me thinking. There is absolutely nothing wrong with sharing our struggles with trusted friends and family but sometimes instead of picking that phone and calling your best friend or confidant or whoever to lament about your woes, pause say a prayer believe God and wait to share your victories instead because there in lies true success. And, if you can't wait and must really just call and talk to someone then start by counting all your blessings one by one and conclude by saying "I just called to share how wonderful my life has been", then be still and know that God is God. A Nigerian university dropout who eventually did wound up as a Pilot, flew his mum today and he couldn’t hold back the excitement of the fulfilling day.

He wrote as he shared photos;

“When I was a child, my mother said to me, ‘If you become a soldier, you’ll be a general. If you become a monk you’ll end up as the pope.’ Instead I became a university drop out and wound up as Pilot.

Today i flew my first love, so much excitement in shock to see Her 3rd son on duty with all professionalism and elegance.

Trust me, i took the PA system to recognize her presence on board.
Thank to the passengers onboard who joined me in showing her some mother-son love.

Thanks to my Crew today. Yall the best.

Brazilian footballer, Robinho, has reportedly been sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty of sexual assault.

Reports in Italy claim that the former Manchester City and Real Madrid star, along with five others, was implicated in an attack on an Albanian girl in a Milan nightclub in January 2013.

The incident, which the player has repeatedly denied his involvement in, occurred when the 33-year-old was at AC Milan following his departure from the Etihad in 2010, Sportsmail reported.

Robinho's agent and lawyer, Marisa Alija Ramos, told Sportsmail: 'With regards to the allegations surrounding Robinho, the alleged incident took place several years ago.

'I clarify that my client has already defended himself against the charges and maintains he played no part in the incident.

'All legal steps are already being taken in response to this decision.'

According to Marisa, the skillful striker who currently plays for Atlético Mineiro in Brazil, pleaded not guilty and never appeared at any of the court hearings in northern Italy.

He has a right to two appeals and Italy would only launch extradition proceedings once this legal process is exhausted, a legal source said.

The Milan court ordered the victim to receive €60,000 (£53,000) as compensation for her suffering.

Robinho who is known for his ball control, attacking instinct and dribbling, played for Santos, Real Madrid, Manchester City, AC Milan and Guangzhou Evergrande.

Four people have reportedly died in Imo state after consuming locally-made alcohol, also known as Ogogoro. The incident occurred at a popular drinking joint at Imerienwe community, owned by one Uwadiegwu Eze, in Ngor-Okpala local government area of the state last week.

Agbara Emma, a community leader, said the victims started complaining of stomach pain few minutes after taking the drink and that the story changed by Saturday. He gave the names of those who died as Chibuzor Nwosu, Ifeanyi Nkwocha, Ada Danganer and Friday Osuji.

The community leader added that Chinonso Amadi, Nnadi Ike, Udoka Ukaegbu, Fineboy Ekeocha, Chiaka Ukaegbu, Onyemauche Igbo, Aboy Amadi, among others, survived after taking the gin. An indigene, who did not want his name mentioned, said the owner of the bar, where the incident happened had absconded.

He said the survivors are in an intensive care unit of a hospital along Egbu Road, Owerri, while the remains of the dead have been deposited in a mortuary in Nguru, Ngor Okpala.

Andrew Enwerem, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, who could not confirm the incident, said: “We have called the DPO of Imereinwe; he's yet to confirm such incident to us'.
