I think this shows how Obama have personal hatred for Nigeria. In his administration, Nigeria have been sidelined and we are not benefiting anything from it and this shows that he his not ready to hear us out. Yet we say we are their ally, i think the best word is puppet. I remember during his first campaign that brought him into office as the first black man to become the American President. Former NSE director Ndidi Okereke, a Nigerian super headed his campaign here in Nigeria and a lot was donated to support him, he then begin to treat us like we as a nation never existed. In his numerous visit to Africa, he has refused to visit Nigeria giving unreasonable excuses. Now we ask for a vaccine, he refused but answered a country that is not up to Abia. I think it's right time we start asking who our real friends are China or USA? Or should we give chance to the Russians. ![]() |

Just listened to Eben's new album: JUSTIFIED and I wasn't impressed with it, had to go back and listen to his last Album: PHENOMENON and I noticed that Justified was more of commercial and the beats are like beating empty cans together or going to TerryG for production, apart from the first 2 tracks, while Phenomenon is more of rock n the lyrical content are suberb, what he was known for. Justified features more artists, maybe they influenced his work, especially Lord E. My advice to Eben is stick to what he does best. And making sure his songs are unique not bringing the usual "I get money, we dey spend money " Ish into the Gospel genre. If you have listened to the two albums, do you agree with me? if not, what's your opinion? Feel free to share. |

Analysis of how the so called stylishly celebrity can give and how much. 1) D'banj (Eja Nla) - 2M - His songs lately has been all about how rich he his and FINALLY he has the opportunity to spend it in saving a life. 2) Psquare - 1.5M - PERSONALLY this guys are making good money INTERNATIONALLY, so this another call to save a friend in the game BIOLOGICALLY. 3) 2face (Tubaba) - 1M - Bros no too dey make noise about money and bukata plenty. But with his sensational wedding in Dubai, 1M won't be too much. 4) Wizkid (Wizzy Wizzy) - 1M - With his latest flaunting, and various endorsements, I think he his more than Mr Capable to give 1M. 5) Davido (OBO) - 1M - With his successful sales in his last album and also a son of a rich, who has become rich himself. 1M na small thing. 6) Asa (Awodi) - 1M - Although you won't hear her shouting all around, but this dive is making good cash both at home and abroad. This type of people are like shadows but moving mountains. 7) Don Jazzy (Don Baba j) - 500k - Don is a generous give whenever he his called to duty, but the money is not flying around like before but 500k is not something he can't give easily, especially to a colleague. 8 ) MI & CCB (Mr Chairman n his crew) - 500k - That shouldn't be too much for a whole crew, unless na only beef them get. 9) Banky W (Mr Capable) - 500k - The Lagos party master has announced himself on various occasion through his songs that he has the cash and this made him to be one of the biggest gentleman in the game. So 500k ain't nothing. 10) 9ice (Alapomeji) - 500k - This shouldn't be much for the man with douple pocket. over the years, his album have been having good sale n shows are coming in. 11) Olamide (Badoo), Tiwa Savage n Chidinma - 500k - This shouldn't be much for the three to raise. All he just need is to remove the tithe (6M) and send it to the guy account. 16M has complete O! But if this guys can't do this, then they are men of sweet mouth but nothing in their hands n pockets. It's crystal clear now that the Americans are backing this lunatics. I bet the nigerian unity is giving them a problem. Now they remember human right, when the Nigerian government has decided to take action against terrorism. America are doing more bad than good to the world |

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Nigeria must protect the rights of civilians and avoid any “heavy-handed” response as it moves against Islamist rebels to enforce a state of emergency, a top US official said on Wednesday. “We call on Nigerian officials to ensure that Nigeria’s security forces protect civilians in any security response in a way that respects human rights and the rule of law,” State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell said. He also urged Nigerian authorities to investigate clashes between soldiers and Islamist gunmen last month in the town of Baga on Lake Chad in which about 200 people were killed to ensure “those responsible are held accountable.” Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan issued the emergency decree late Tuesday, acknowledging for the first time that Boko Haram militants had “taken over” parts of northern Borno state, the insurgents’ stronghold. The military then announced Wednesday that a “massive” troop deployment was under way. Washington was watching how the Nigerian authorities handled the state of emergency, Ventrell said. “We have made clear to the Nigerian government that its heavy-handed response to insecurity in northern Nigeria and the failure to address human rights violations will potentially affect our ability to provide security assistance going forward,” he added. Jonathan said the Boko Haram violence, which has left thousands dead since 2009, can no longer be treated as “militancy or criminality.” The latest violence, including the brazen attacks in the northeast, amounted to “a declaration of war,” he said. source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/05/us-warns-nigeria-must-protect-rights-of-civilians/ |

Having downloaded the video which cost me 6.2mb, I can now officially comment on the topic. The song is nice but the video is normal, so am sticking with the audio. And keep imaging the guy that was putting the ajasa in the song. Nice beat from E Kelly n nice mix from sheyman. |

emilyone: you can start by telling us the difference between igbo and yoruba pottageIf you have teasted the two before then you know that there is a difference between the two. Yoruba own is prepared in form of a stew, thick but you can still sip the pottage, while the Igbo own is more or less yam and oil boiled together, you just eat the yam and that it. Some use Asaro to eat eba in Yoruba context but you can't try that with the Igbo own. I hope you now have clue. |
Igbo Yam Pottage aka IYP vs Yoruba Yam Pottage (Asaro) aka YYP. Which one would you go for anytime and day? Share your thoughts. |
.Meanwhile, the latest information reaching us was that The PUNCH’s Enugu State correspondent, Ozioma Ubabukoh, was harassed by seven men who claimed to be security agents in front of his apartment in Enugu around 11.45pm on Saturday after the news was first reported. The men seized Ubabukoh’s phone and his laptop in order to stop him from sending stories to the head office. As at press time, the men were still in Ubabukoh’s apartment and insisted that they were not leaving until 3am. Like I saw this same line when he was absent from office sometimes ago. Or am I in dejavu? |
The Single Most Valuable Document In The History Of The World Wide Web Twenty years ago this week, officials at CERN, the European research center where the World Wide Web was invented, wrote: CERN relinquishes all intellectual property to this code, both source and binary form and permission is granted for anyone to use, duplicate, modify and redistribute it. It's a dull sentence from dull document with a dull title: Statement Concerning Cern W3 Software Release Into The Public Domain . But that document marks the moment when the World Wide Web entered the public domain — a moment that was central to creating the Web as we know it today. I emailed Mark Lemley, an intellectual property expert at Stanford, to ask him about the counterfactual. Could the Web have been patented? And how would the world have been different if it had? Here's an excerpt from his reply: It is entirely possible that the Web could have been patented. A strong patent right would have driven innovation along a different path. Even in 1993, as the Web was being introduced, scholars and the government interested in data communications were talking about the "information superhighway," a proposed centralized government-sponsored broadband network that would have delivered video from TV stations and other approved content. [It is this, and not the Internet, that Al Gore "invented"]. The Web is what happened from the bottom up while government and the telecommunications companies were still figuring out how to build something from the top down. But a patent right could have changed the course of innovation from the decentralized Internet model to a centralized information superhighway model. And we would all have been the poorer for it. This week, a CERN spokesman called the document "the single most valuable document in the history of the World Wide Web." There might be a bit of hyperbole in that statement. (It came from a guy sometimes called the half-spin doctor.) Still, at a moment when the technology world is swamped in patent lawsuits , it does seem worth pausing to appreciate the moment when a group of researchers renounced their intellectual property rights to patent and gave the World Wide Web to the world. by JACOB GOLDSTEIN http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2013/05/01/180255276/the-single-most-valuable-document-in-the-history-of-the-world-wide-web |
The Mozilla Foundation has accused UK software group Gamma International of falsely associating one of its products with the Firefox name. Finfisher is a legitimate surveillance software thought to be used by governments to covertly obtain data. It is installed unknowingly by its target computer user, often by disguising itself as an update to a well known programme such as Firefox. Gamma International has not responded to emailed requests for comment. University of Toronto research group The Citizen Lab claims it has found possible evidence of Finfisher in the servers of 36 different countries, reports the Associated Press. In 2011 the BBC found documents in the state security building in Egypt, looted during the uprising, which suggested that the Hampshire-based firm had offered to supply Finfisher to the Egyptian government to monitor activists. Gamma International denied supplying it but the files seen by the BBC described a five month trial which included successful access to email accounts and the recording of encrypted Skype calls. The Mozilla Foundation has now sent a cease and desist letter, warning Gamma International not to use the name of Firefox, its open source browser, as camouflage for the programme. "Our brand and trademarks are used by the spyware as a method to avoid detection and deletion," said Mozilla chief privacy officer Alex Fowler in a statement. "As an open source project trusted by hundreds of millions of people around the world, defending Mozilla's trademarks from this abuse is vital to our brand, mission and continued success." http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22372027 |
Nigeria’s ruling party said the opposition governor begged to join its fold. The spokesperson of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party , PDP, Olisa Metuh, has claimed that the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on several occasions, begged the leadership of the party to let him decamp to the PDP. He said the governor was consistently turned down by the Nigerian ruling party. Mr. Metuh, who spoke via a statement on Wednesday, “urged the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to be bold enough to tell Nigerians how many times he begged to join the PDP but was turned down”. The same PDP which Adams went on all fours, begging to join on several occasions has suddenly become the ” party of rogues” because of his desperation to justify the massive rigging and democratic aberration that was local government elections in Edo state. ” In 2007, Adams (Oshiomhole) begged to be given an opportunity under the Umbrella but we considered his governorship aspiration an assault on the existing zoning formula in the state and quietly turned him down. Again in 2012, Adams once more came cap in hand and our great Party again rejected him,” Mr. Metuh said. Speaking further, Mr. Metuh said, “Is Adams just realizing how bad our party is and was all the while begging for membership,”. ACN leaders are the real rogues The statement also claimed that it is Mr. Oshiomhole’s Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, that is the real brood of rogues as their actions in the conduct of local government elections in Lagos, Ogun and now Edo show. “First is that Oshiomhole is governor primarily because of the unflinching commitment of the PDP to the rule of law and credible elections. No amount of falsehood by the ACN can obliterate this. Governor Oshiomhole therefore carries a huge moral burden when as the largest beneficiary of these democratic values guaranteed by the PDP led Federal Government, he went ahead without scruples to deny his people the opportunity to elect the leaders of their choice. “And when Oshiomhole referred to the PDP as corrupt,” the statement continued, “it is very needful to remind him that corruption is home to the states under the ACN.” ” Without guessing the disquieting cases of corruption in Edo State, we wish to ask Governor Oshiomhole to explain how less than a 7 kilometre Benin Airport road fraudulently awarded at six billion naira is yet to be completed after four years and how six hundred million naira was used to change the roof and repaint the walls of Idia College in Benin.” The statement further said it was nothing but corruption that could cause the buildings at the central hospital in Benin to collapse under construction after the project was awarded at the whooping sum of N2 billion. The PDP also challenged the Edo Governor to unmask the face of the printer behind the sub-standard ballot papers used for the local government polls for which hundreds of million of tax payers’ money was spent. http://premiumtimesng.com/news/132203-oshiomhole-begged-to-join-pdp-but-we-refused-metuh.html |
Fayemi is right about how intelligent the Ekiti people are, most of them knows one or two things about governance. But when it comes to Godfatherism he has none but God and when it come to mentoring he has one that dictate. But in my opinion the man his trying his best for the Ekiti people. |

, expanded and cooled, going from very, very small and very, very hot, to the size and temperature of our current universe. It continues to expand and cool to this day and we are inside of it: incredible creatures living on a unique planet, circling a beautiful star clustered together with several hundred billion other stars in a galaxy soaring through the cosmos, all of which is inside of an expanding universe that began as an infinitesimal singularity which appeared out of nowhere for reasons unknown. This is the Big Bang theory.
