Naaa. Una they try force this Pendu thing and trust me I get it but Pendu isn't the problem, at least from what we watched today.

Martinez was the problem today. He is essentially doing the same thing he did while he was coaching the golden generation of Belgium. The selection, approach and tactic of this team was responsible for their poor display.

There is absolutely nothing Pendu can do if the midfielders are obsessed with passing the ball around the midfield. I mean, Gbruno couldn't even get on the ball around dangerous zones to create because the ball was constantly recycled between the midfielders and defenders.

They need to start Leao/ Conceciao or Trincao in the next game. They also need to move the ball quicker, be incisive and direct; play like they have a CF.

We are complaining about Ronaldo and how his immobility is affecting teamplay, you’re asking Martinez to start Leao mini Highlander.

Martinez get him fault but an immobile forward makes it difficult to attack because he’s always unavailable to receive passes and through balls. It’s like playing with a man down.
