This second half is going to unravel. Senegal will lose if they keep giving France space to counter them.

Zero shots on target.
Zero shots off target.
Counter attacking coach Deschamps well done o.

Unfortunately for him, Senegal are not losing the ball in positions France can quickly counter them. Better bring Cherki on.

Good game by Saudi. They knew their limits and came with a plan that fits. Defended solidly. Made the most of corners. Uruguay lacked bite even though they saw the most of the ball. With a little luck on their side Saudi would’ve won.

I don’t think Chelsea have much of a choice here.
Shouldn’t they at least make a modicum of an effort to keep him? The speed of the deal tells you they care more about flipping players than building a title winning squad.

I hope all these talks about Carrick reintegrating Rashford into the team is a joke. I hope it’s a bid to make him attractive to prospective suitors.

My brother, this is the crucial moment INEOS should buying elite players. Carrick has a huge opportunity now to close the gap on the top teams. All the top six managers have changed managers in the last few months apart from Arteta(a serial bottler).

United have to give Carrick a chance here. If a talent like Anderson is available in the market, United should be showing real ambition to get him - to make a statement.
You just know that lad is destined for greatness. If United miss him & he moves to any of United’s direct rivals, it will be difficult to win the PL.
I understand that he could be a great buy.

But I think you should look at the other side as well. What if he doesn’t click on as expected? We’ve made mistakes like this in the past so many times. Now is the time for caution. It’ll be crystal clear when the time comes for us to buy a £100m player.

Korea clearly was the better side but it could have ended 2-2. They scored a second from another set piece but Soucek was ruled offside.

Even though they were inferior on the whole, Czechia came with set piece tactics heavily influenced by the premier league, and this almost evened things. If they had good deliveries into the box they could’ve won.

I feel like other teams will place more emphasis on set pieces than they would normally do in this World Cup. It’s going to be an interesting tournament.

Man United will not drop any fee even on par with the Harry Maguire cash on a single player für the foreseeable future. I'll project as much as the next decade.
the Ederson deal, amongst other merit, serve as an intangible guard when the club sits at negotiations for midfielders this summer.
it is clear the club already has its targets, and names will be thrown around by insiders as a negotiating gimmick so it appears the club is considering loads of options.
They kind of did this that winter they brought in only Dorgu even though we’d lost about 3 senior players, the squad was thin, and we were still in Europe.

I think it’s the right way to deal with these greedy clubs fleecing us.

Yeah, like when United got Donny Van De Beek when Partey or Declan Rice was required. What eventually happened to Van De Beek? Sold at a loss.

Elite players win you elite trophies. It’s the reason City have been top for so long. If United want to compete for the PL next season while playing in Europe, they need quality players.
While I agree that we should be buying elite players even if they’re expensive, I don’t think now is the time for that.

We’re in a phase of squad building where lavish outlays on a single player can be a costly mistake that will take years to correct. The only scenario where those kinds of expenses make sense is when they’re the last piece that completes the puzzle.

A key player for a treble winning side with the most chances created in their ucl run is a flop. Not even average or just ok but a failure lol.
He wasn’t key.

Starting games for your club doesn’t make you a key player. Sometimes it just means there’s no better option.

Key players are those who massively influenced a game through goals, assists, and big chances created.

Grealish never topped any of those charts at City.

The only reason people don’t pay attention to his flop is because City won the treble. Also, City’s players don’t get as much criticism as other top teams.

His G/A returns is similar with Antony even though the later costs 20m less, and he gets much more criticism.

Quite cliché but I still enjoyed it. It’s been a while I’ve seen movies of this genre that isn’t oozing cheesiness.
