The fact remains that they are not a good team as of now and ucl cannot change that ,I wonder why most teams in Europe play against them with fear ,see as arsenal handle them last season Spoken like a true Barca fan 😀 |

popizaino: But they beat Liverpool and Chelsea away from home too? But Liverpool and Chelsea have been poor this season. You could actually argue that they haven’t really faced a tough opponent in the knockout stage. Don’t get me wrong tho. I’m not saying they can’t win. They have what it takes to beat Bayern. I just think they are a bit overhyped at the moment. |

andrewbaba44: Madrid is a very poor team
Bayern where so bad to even allow them have any hope of qualifying I think you’re underrating Madrid in the UCL. They may not be as good as they were but they’re not as poor as you think. |

Jamiuokolaa: Maguire has clearly condemmed your counter-productive formation.
Attempting to use an isolated case that even saw Bruno shunted out wide as some form of game management, just doesn't cut it.
I am perfect fine - just like many "genuine" fans here, Carrick has managed to bring back smiles on our faces..atleast for now.
You are the one that needs to find a better coping mechanism because Amorim's failings would continue to be referenced here till thy kingdom come.
At this point, blocking me appears to be your best bet Block you because you’re ranting about Amorim? LooL. On top Wetin? Rant on jare! |

In the same screenshot you posted, Maguire said they were struggling towards the end of the first half even with the 4atb formation. Carrick made the switch and they seem fine in the second half. He also said it was a good thing they could play both formations. Jamiu, you’ll be okay |

Jamiuokolaa: I didnt even mention Amorim in my initial post but ofcourse, you just couldn't resist the urge to counter anything that appears to be a subtle reminder at how Catastrophic Amorim's tenure was.
Maguire, a senior member of the squad has publicly attributed our struggles to the implementation of a counter-productive formation by a useless manager....rightly so.
Bruh - suck it in and kiss the truth!
Use that $50 to enrol your Amorim for Elementary online courses in Coaching, Man Management and Tactical Evolution. LooL. As I expected, you failed. You just can’t keep Amorim’s name out of your mouth. My initial reply to you was never about Amorim. It was about how Carrick used 3atb to his advantage so as to win the game on Monday. If you think about it, it’s actually a knock on Amorim since he couldn’t do that throughout his time here. But since you’re already on anti-Amorim autopilot, you decided to type an epistle on how bad he was at United. Learn to be objective sometimes. Odizeey is pro Amorim like Ellexy is pro ETH. That doesn’t mean that everything Odizeey says will be about Amorim or that every post Ellexy makes is about ETH. In the same manner, everything I say isn’t about Amorim even though you’ve concluded in your brain (albeit wrongly) that it is because you think I’m pro Amorim. Sometimes, my posts have nothing to do with him. Let’s try to have discussions without polluting it with biases. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 8:02am On Apr 29 |
Jamiuokolaa: This would have made sense if Conte isnt known to be flexible.
The man got to Chelsea, took a long, hard look at the players on ground viz-a-viz their attributes and decided that the 3-4-3 System would be okay.
If you check his Scudetto triumph with Napoli, he implemented 4-4-2 on numerous occasions.
Amorim on the other hand, decided to force the the 3-4-3 on the team, regardless of the qualities on ground. A major downside of that m.oronic decision was that Bruno Fernandes, one of the best attacking players in Europe, was assigned a CM role. Mainoo, a decent CM on his day, was publicly humiliated and benched for not "fitting into the system".
If you are clearly admitting that the players performed better with 4 defenders and that the formation was a major problem, why are we having this convo?
I don't understand you atimes.
You are the one that should probably look inwards to ascertain why you always get triggered anytime we decide to analyse performances this season...especially when it involves the catastrophic performances of Ruben Amorim. But my initial reply to you never mentioned Amorim. You see all these epistles wey you type, ko necesstri. What I said remains true. It doesn’t matter what formation you use as long as you win and win in a good manner. The challenge for you now, is to either agree or disagree with this point without mentioning Amorim. If you can do that, I will send you $50. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 7:34am On Apr 29 |
Jamiuokolaa: Yeah, we switched to a back 5 to curtail the numerous onslaughts from the opposition.
We were clearly struggling and a change was needed to manage the situation.
Ugarte would probably have come on to solidify the midfield but Carrick apparently wasn't keen on that type of gamble.
Flexibility is also needed to manage certain scenarios.
The default, strait-jacket 3-4-3, coupled with the rigid CB for CB substitutions (regardless of the scoreline) was clearly counter-productive.
As you have heard from a senior member of the squad, they are glad that we got rid of Amorim and probably wished the decision was taken earlier You know you can still have discussions here without tying everything to Amorim. What I said is the truth. It doesn’t matter whatever formation you use, as long as you win and win good, you’ll be safe. When Conte came to Chelsea with his 3-4-3 and won the league Cheksea fans had no complaints. If the Amorim you so abhor was winning games left right and centre, you will be a card carrying Amorisexual. You will even tattoo his name on your büťț cos you look like that kind of person. But he didn’t win with his formation and he was too rigid to even try new ideas — even when it was clear the players performed better with 4 defenders and they wanted that formation. So, his sacking is justified. But that doesn’t mean you should turn every discussion into an Amorim argument. He’s no longer here and we shouldn’t be hung on the past. What I said is the fact— it doesn’t matter whatever formation you use, as long as you win, you’ll be safe. Formations are a tool and Carrick used it to his advantage against Brentford. If he had stuck to 4 at the back and we concede or even lose, you (particularly you, Jamiu) will start complaining about him. Hopefully we beat Liverpool this weekend and Bruno hits 20 assists. Kimbeast: Let's be honest Bayern are not that formidable neither are they going to dismantle anything. They conceded 3 to a poor Madrid team at home and needed a red card to scale through. Psg would win them home and away. Yet this same PSG lost to Bayern earlier this season and couldn’t beat Newcastle away from home. Well, we shall see who triumphs in the end. |
