That formation can even be arranged to fit 3-4-3 as well. It's basically the same lineup against Leeds minus a few personnel.

Asking for midfield signing in January is just being disingenuous. We all knew the plan was to get 4 to 3 new midfielders in the summer with Bruno and casemiro likely leaving plus even ugarte. Last summer was focused on the attack and goalkeeping position plus we would have added Baleba if the price was right even tho I am not a big fan of him ,the previous one was on defense and the upcoming one was going to be on midfield. The board was also keen on adding Semenyo to the team this January until he rejected us for City. Amorim just needed to be patient as it was clear the board really liked him. His tactically inflexibility was just his biggest weakness.

I don’t think it was wrong to ask for new midfielders in January. If your team seriously needs strengthening in a certain part of the pitch, and there’s an opportunity to fix the hole, you should go for it.

Let’s wait and see. From the Under-18 games he seems to have a style of play that he prefers and coaches well AT THAT LEVEL.

Let’s just hope for respectable and reasonable results until the end of the season. And a bit of opportunity for fringe players to show if they have a future here or not.

Coaching a team of U-18s who will run and do everything you say to their best abilities so as to have a football career is different from coaching Dalot and Cunha. They’re set in their ways and will always do whatever they want, even if it is rubbish at times.

Hoping for the best here but I’ll be nonplussed if it goes sideways. Im eager to hear what excuses dem Neville and Keane will give if Fletcher doesn’t do well. It’s a massive job that is bigger than him or padipadi mentality .

Being an interim doesn’t stop him from being a lapdog for Wilcox and the owners, especially since he has no experience whatever.

The board’s job is to hire a manager and give him decent players and environment to work in, not try to coerce him into playing a certain style because of what they heard from pundits.

If he’s not getting the results you want, get rid of him. Simple. Don’t try to solve onfield problems for him or tell him how he should coach. It will only make the players undermine him and no one can survive in that kind of environment.
