odizeey: You use arsenal judge but no use Man City judge.
The same Man City defence that was doing bonanza last season, losing to all and sundry before a January upheaval steadied things?
I was expecting at least one emotional United fan to mention this. Didnt know you’d be the first. And I’m 100% certain you’ll also be the first to throw Gyokeres to the dogs if he comes and doesnt score once every 2 to 3 games.
CrystalTiger: This guy is also the highest goal scorer in the just concluded nations league..EPL defenders or not, he'll be fine..
I don't understand all this recent analysis all of a sudden about his game from our fans..Let the guy come first..Over 70 goals in the past two seasons is reason enough to be a little bit excited..
My main point is that people shouldn’t expect him to blast the EPL like he did the Portuguese league. It is these same people crying for Gyokeres that will be the ones to cast the first stones if he starts struggling with reduced service and tougher defenders.
Saliba and co gave him a very tough time, reducing him to long range inaccurate shots and half chances. All those quick twists and turns to run at goal and score vanished. He was frustrated in the end.
It’s the quintessential example of how the majority of EPL defenders will play against him. Unless he has something else in his arsenal, like Osimhen does, it will be quite difficult for him to shine— not impossible, but difficult.
The truth is that Gyokeres won’t be afforded the space and time he had to score 60 goals in the Portuguese league in the EPL. Defenders will match his physicality and speed. Even the confidence boosting penalties wont be there as Bruno is our designated PK taker.
Does this mean he’ll flop in the EPL? Definitely not. But it would be wrong to assume he’d keep on firing in the EPL like he did in Portugal, especially in a United setting where strikers are starved of basic goal services.
VicThory: Bro... You're talking like Amorim had no say in the loan matter. He sidelined Rashford and said Antony was excess song cut him off. Ho do you expect us to give time to someone with questionable decision making
With the way they were playing, was sidelining Rashford and sending Antony out on loan a questionable decision? The clear answer is no. The problem was refusing to replace those departures in January. At all at all, they should’ve gotten some bodies in via loans.
rooftops: It is not even about the time he entered. If morata started the game, he will play the penalty that same way, no power, no placement, just plain lackadaisical attitude.
LooL. Morata is just something else. Never reached his potential. He’s spent now. All that’s left is to retire.
Morata came on in the 111th minute and missed his penalty. Who thought it was a good idea for him to play the PK sef? He hardly touched the ball for the 9 mins he was on he pitch.
Kilishihunter: I still can't believe sinner bottled this. 5-4 with 3 match points at 40-0 in the fourth set and he didn't take any of them allowing alcaraz to come back and win the next two sets, I know clay is his worst surface but come on, I hope he wins Wimbledon as the grass season starts sha
It was unbelievable. Guess he got jittery or something. But you can’t disregard Alcaraz’s effort as well. He fought tooth and nail till the end to win that title.
Looking forward to another face off between the duo in the next grand slam. Anything can happen.
