Croatia Coach Picks XI For World Cup Clash Vs Nigeria, To Monitor Eagles Friendlies
By Adeboye Amosu

Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalic says he already has in mind the starting 11 for his side’s 2018 FIFA World Cup opening Group D clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The Croats who have lost their last three opening fixtures at the World Cup will face the three-time African champions on June 16 at the Kaliningrad Stadium.

They will look to put an end to the poor run when they come up against Gernot Rohr, and Dalic admitted he already has the men who will do the job.

“I have the first eleven that will face Nigeria in Kaliningrad but of course I will not disclose it to the media because the whole structure still depends on form and injury,” Dalic told Croatia online news outlet Sportske jutarnji.hr.

“It is better to know three months before the start of the World Cup and not close to the game.”

Nigeria as well as Iceland and two-time world champions Argentina, who are the two other teams in the group, will be involved in friendlies in the upcoming international window.

Dalic confirmed he will send scouts to watch Nigeria in their friendly games against Poland and Serbia this Friday and next week Tuesday.

“Ivica Olic will be in the United States of America to monitor Iceland who plays Peru and Mexico. Nikola Jerkan will follow Argentina in the games against Italy and Spain, while Ognjen Vukojevic will watch Nigeria against Poland and Serbia.”

Russia 2018 WC Countdown: 86 days 14 hours 37 mins to go
these Croatians seem to be prioritizing Nigeria over Argentina and Iceland. Judging by the way they keep studying us and the bold statements they make, I'm beginning to see them as a more serious team(I'm afraid) and also putting them in the same bracket with Brazil, Spain and Germany which are my dreaded teams.

exactly Sir. And these FB players appear seemingly raring to go unlike most of our homegrowns that are stuck with keeping to african time. They've internalized lateness so much that it's drifting quite away from just "culture" to religion. That's unseriousness if we're being honest

Croatia Mean Business : Send Scout To Spy On Nigeria Stars In London

A representative from the Croatia National Team will be among the spectators at the Hive Stadium when the Super Eagles tackle Serbia in their third pre-World Cup friendly.

Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić has confirmed that his scouts will attend all the matches involving their Group D opponents (Argentina, Iceland and Nigeria) at the World Cup this month, including the Super Eagles game against Serbia in London.

''Yes, Ladić goes to America. I needed a man who would monitor Iceland's game, Ivica Olić would probably look at the other game,'' said Dalic to Sportske Novosti.

''At the same time Nikola Jerkan will follow Argentina playing with Italy and Spain, while Ognjen Vukojević will watch Nigerians against Poland and Serbia.

''We will collect all relevant information about the rivals from the group.''

In terms of importance, Croatia have rated their World Cup opener against Nigeria on June 16 as the most crucial in Russia and Vukojević's first job will be to watch the likes of Alex Iwobi, Victor Moses and Wilfred Ndidi in action againstLewandowski and co. this Friday

I greet everyone here. Been busy for a while now so my participation has been restricted to short cameos as a guest.

I want to state explicitly that I'm all for form and not experience. I'm not Rohr apparently but on Echiejile's invitation, I reckon the friendlies will serve as the last chance for him to stake a claim. If he flops, then he should kiss Russia goodbye. It sounds absurd taking to the world cup a player plying his thread in a belgium second divison and still finding it hard to make the team on matchdays and leaving out top talents in other top divisions. It's corruption and not destabilizing team cohesion as some would say.

SeunWedsLinda:
thanks bro. But I feel I have not done enough. I barely know about this girl. I don't always flow with her like I'd flow with other girls. My converstion game with her is just too poor cos I don't want to spoil things.
you can not possibly know all about someone and there is no rule that projects knowing someone as the basis for establishment of a relationship so your idea on that is flawed. Some guys meet a girl in a day and ask her out that same day. Yours is even up to a year and you're still going back and forth about knowing her. I would honestly be tired of you if I were the girl in question.
Romance › Re: Guys Please Help SeunWedsLinda! by LieDetector(m): 7:28pm On Mar 01, 2018
Policies do change after all. You seem to concentrate much on what people feel about you. The earlier you realise that people's opinion about you changes nothing, the better for you. It's a certainty that when you ask a girl out, her close friends must hear about it. Lastly, standing up to rejection is what differentiates you from the feminine gender. Arrange a date with her and tell her all those things you said up there, she'll respect you if you're bold enough to bare your mind. If you think taking things gradually is the way to go, then friendzone might just be a comfortable abode for you. Nuff said.

Good. Just like tbaba, you have gone from comparing him with Courtois down to black goalies.
I didn't at any point compare him with Courtous. I was only trying to infer that neither age nor experience is the basis for judging a goal keeper's potential. It's pure talent Sire.

Icon4s:
Firstly, you need not go to the telegraph to dig up whether Courtois was in the last WC or not. Everyone is aware of that.

You were talking about the year Chelsea loaned Courtois to Athletics Madrid right?

Now, that was in 2011. Courtois was in Athletico up till that 2014 (3 years!) where he played top flight football and featured in the Champions league final of 2014. Now, that was the year he followed Belgium to the WC.

So, is that the same case for Uzoho? Where is his own exposure?
Apparently I shouldn't have gone to the telegraph but likely debate over his inclusion behoves that I do so.

You earlier said your concern about Uzoho was his age wherein I mentioned Courtous who started keeping for belgium at quite a younger age(18) compared to Uzoho.

Talking about exposure, how many black goalies are first goalkeepers in clubs across UEFA top 5 leagues? I can assure you that if you should do a headcount, the figures would not measure up to my 5 fingers with 99% of them coming from france. It doesn't take away the quality of black goalies. All I'm saying is that we have the friendlies coming up. Uzoho will get loads of them and they'll count as both 'experience' and 'exposure'.

Did Belgium take Courtois to the WC that year?
i had to dig this up from the telegraph. It's belgium 24 man world cup list for 2014. See?

Belgium provisional 24-man squad for the World Cup finals:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois (Atletico Madrid, on loan from Chelsea), Simon Mignolet (Liverpool), Sammy Bossut (Zulte Waregem).

Defenders: Toby Alderweireld (Atlético Madrid), Laurent Ciman (Standard Liege), Vincent Kompany (Manchester City), Nicolas Lombaerts (Zenit), Daniel Van Buyten (Bayern Munich), Anthony Vanden Borre (Anderlecht), Thomas Vermaelen (Arsenal), Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham).

Midfielders: Nacer Chadli (Tottenham), Steven Defour (Porto), Moussa Dembélé (Tottenham), Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United), Axel Witsel (Zenit).

Forwards: Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg), Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Adnan Januzaj (Manchester United), Romelu Lukaku (Everton), Dries Mertens (Napoli), Kevin Mirallas (Everton), Divock Origi (Lille).

You know why I still have concerns over that boy?

His age.

Should I even tell you that he doing well in those friendlies doesn't necessarily mean he will do well in a real match situation?

Goalkeepers generally get better with age. Uzoho definitely has a lot to learn as a goalie.
how old was coutoius when chelsea loaned him to atletico madrid and he walked straight into the team? I have my reservations about Uzoho's age considering some players' knack to age cheat so as to enjoy long footballing career

All these girls are just there to tempt and seduce us. But they are what they are; girlfriends. I would take it seriously if the girl in question was a "wife". I was in your shoes coupla months ago and I know how irresitible these temptations are. But whilst you get the sticks from your consciense, just think of it as smashing a random girl out there. The other girls you f*cked were some guys' girlfriends for crying out loud. So dust yourself up and move on but continuously steer clear of her. I wouldn't mind another logically proven Rationale why Dele Aiyenugba shouldn't be tried or considered!
Oga, what you say here changes nothing. Rohr has had his say and that is sticking with players that have been with us from qualifiers so persistently clamouring for Dele's inclusion should only be considered as a typing exercise for your fingers. Uzoho was brought in as a replacement for the injured Ikeme so that changes absolutely nothing. If he could nip at the heels of Akpeyi and/or Ezenwa, he automatically becomes our number 1. Maduka, Dele, Ajiboye, Nwokolor and Ejide should buy supplementary form.
