Agreeably. Yes we can shock the world. It's a probability. Doesn't mean we should rule out the possibility of having a woeful world cup outing. It's a 50-50 chance bro. What makes some teams progress as far as getting to the semis or final is PREPARATION and The class of players you have at your disposal. I'm not a pessimist but a realist. I don't want to place much expectation on our lads considering the two things I factored out earlier. Just get past the group stage into the round of 16. Any other feat after that is a bonus and I will be comfortably Ok with it. Let's not get our hopes high.

Now the dream is seeing 4 African teams in second round and then two(Morocco vs Nigeria) in semi final. Because of this i have a feeling Nigeria will shock the world and win Russia 2018. I'm yet to figure out how that will materialise, but that's my strange feeling.

I did not play down Puel's work. I said his negative style inhibits Ndidi and other players from reaching top Heights. Ndidi can do more from controlling the midfield, dictating play, spread cross field passes, make dashing runs and release thunderbolts from his feet on a more regular basis.

In a more offensive and creative style of play, Ndidi will grow at a faster rate.
And I never agreed to Puel being Negative. Mancity isn't a team you play on the offensive if you do not trust your attackers. Conte and Mourinho come to mind. Prior to Leicester's game against Man city, they've been on a good streak of results. Ndidi's domineering performance at stamford brigde epitomises Puel's tactical masterclass. Watch that game again and purge youself of Puel's negativism rhetorics

Na wa.

Morata worked in the academy with Zidane. So the talk of not adapting to philosophy does not add up.

Zidane prefers Benzema, not Morata not adapting to the philosophy. Benzema is a big name and a top quality player. Morata stayed and battled for a place in the team. So that defeats your opinion that he is scared of challenges.

Finito.
Zidane can not just prefer benzema if Morata was that good. You mentioned earlier Morata's flaw being his finishing ability. As a striker you don't need 6 chances to be given to you before you bury one. Zidane must have been fade up with Morata's inability to bury chances. Reason why he never cemented a starting berth at Madrid. I would prefer the inconsistent Benzema over Morata if I were zidane. What zidane did is justifiable(preferring benzema over M'rata). If Morata had stayed back to develop his finishing ability, you think Madrid would have agreed to sell him to chelsea?

“He is an excellent player," said Pellegrini."But if he adds goals from free-kicks - and last Sunday he scored again - for him it is very important to score goals."He is a player who can always improve, and Yaya is trying to do it.“We are always practising free-kicks. Yaya stays normally, kicking the ball after we finish the daily work."He is really in a good moment. It is not normal, that someone always scores from free-kicks.

That is from Pellegrini talking about him working with Yaya Toure on free kicks after training. Yaya was a good player under Mancini but after working with Pellegrini, he became one of the best players in the world.

Ndidi has the potential to do more than tackles and recovery. Under a coach like Pellegrini and in an offensive system, he will achieve more.
while you make suppositions about Ndidi becoming a beast under pellegrini, it will be diligent to acknwledge Puel's work so far. Ndidi now makes defense splitting passes, has the ability to break up play and quickly surge forward for counter attacks, his goal to game ratio is quite impressive considering he's mostly deployed in the defensive midfield position. Bro. Puel isn't bad and negative the way you paint him

Apart from Morata's finishing challenge, his footballing knowledge and playing style is off the chain. He is a well educated footballer in the game. If he sorts his finishing out, he would be lethal.

Saying Morata is a player that does not like challenge is totally off tangent. We are talking of a guy who has been down the pecking order in Real Madrid and Juventus. Working hard and patiently waiting for his turn.

There was no need joining Spurs when he had an offer to play in Chelsea. Come on, Chelsea is a bigger brand. Coupled with the fact he was to work with Conte, a coach he trained and worked with at Juventus.
Oga, being down the pecking order is as a result of a player's inability to adapt to the coach's philosphy. Though Benzema and Llorente were at the peak of their football career at Madrid and Juve respectively, it never made them insurmountable. A good striker would walk into any of those teams then and cement a starting berth. If Morata was good, he wouldn't be down the pecking order. As for Nacho, I'll base my judgement of him being good on the premise of the number of games he starts

If experience promises quality, a lot of Championship players would have been the toast for top clubs. There is a reason why a player like Iheanacho with little to no experience in senior football could set the EPL on fire and do the same in the national team.

Hard work, exposure and talent.

Leicester City have quality players but it is clear Puel does not have the system to make them excel. Even with playing time, he can not raise the quality of those players in a short time.

Look at the art Pellegrini created with Yaya Toure. Give him Ndidi and you will see wonders in a short time. Not long playing time. It takes positional placement of players, improved roles and a more intense environment to spark the players.

You can praise the regular time but the impact comes from other factors.
adducing Toure's success to pellegrini is fallacious. Ndidi has become a force to be reckoned with in central midfield. This isn't the doing of Ranieri neither is it the doing of Shakespare. The pellegrini you talk about could not improve Nacho's first touch. It's not a coincidence Ndidi has improved massively under Puel. It's also no coincidence that Nacho's first touch has equally improved. He should improve other areas of his game thats the bottomline of my argument Sire.

I did not say no game time. The point is simple. I am not talking about just game time. That does not mean no game time. However, the effect of training and playing in a more offensive system improves the player better than a negative one, even if the playing time is reduced.

That is why Morata without a truck load of experience cost a fortune.

Finito.
if Morata is the kind of player you would want Iheanacho to become, then you're obviously after him becoming just an expensive buy. Morata is a perfect example of a player that hates competition. Could not compete at Juve and Madrid. Tottenham made him an offer but he sighted Harry Kane's presence as reason for not wanting a move to Spurs. Take a look at the kind of player he has become and pray tell if Iheanacho were your brother, you'd advice him to take a cue from Morata's football adventure.

I am not just interested in game time but playing and training under a very offensive system which will propel Nacho because of his lethal finishing ability. Something I doubt Puel can offer.
A footballer can not play without training and no footballer will want to train without playing. Training and playing(game time) are necessary for a player's all round development. He could stick with just training with Mancity to polish his finishing ability but the effect would be counter productive. No team would go for 'inexperienced' players irrespective of the team you play for. You'd at best be loaned out to gain experience and you know how bleak the chances of a loan player making it to the first team. A dwindling career at a promising time.

Puel bought diabate and you expect him not to play him? If ranieri is still at leichester you think musa will rot on the reserves? For you to say nacho is not good enough says it all,you don't know what you are saying, someone is not good enough but he was bought for 25million pounds

Or you think if pellegrini is still man city coach they will buy Gabriel Jesus and sell nacho?you just can't hide what you feel for nacho,I don't need to mention it,for you saying he is not good enough says it all.
A player's worth is never a measure of his quality. Mahrez's tranfer fee to Leicester isn't even up to a million pounds, Bakayoko to chelsea was £40m. Judging these two players by their tranfer fees, one would think bakayoko is 40 times better than Mahrez.

I'm not saying he isn't worth the fee though but take a closer look at players bought with fee close to or slightly above that £25m mark. You'll make judgement for youself.

I'm not what you suppose or assume I am. A hater right? Trust me I want the best for Nacho

I do not know what Diabate has done. Nacho is not an existing player because he has not been given the chance. Puel bought Diabate himself from the French league, keeping in mind that Puel is French. So there is every opportunity for preference to justify the player he bought.

Not like Diabate has done something out of the ordinary.

I was always against Nacho moving because I wanted him training under an offensive system. So this is not a case of supporting repeated moves. This is about Nacho training and playing under a very offensive system which I doubt Puel can offer.
Game time I believe is a function of a player's training performance. If Nacho checks Puel's demands, He'll surely get lots of playing time. At some point he hardly made Leicester's bench but with some improved adjustments in deficient areas; His first touch notably, we saw him getting a run of games in the FA cup and some few minutes in the PL. He needs to work more

This time is not about competition but playing under a system that will develop him at a fast rate to a top quality player. Build his rep and propel him to play on some of the highest stages.

Puel seems like a timid negative coach and I doubt he can create the right environment for Nacho to reach his potentials.
Development works in tandem with competition bro. This same Puel developed some players who have come to become established stars. Guadiola has a good antecedent of developing young stars. If Nacho should leave Leicester, there's no guarantee another young prodigy would not emerge to give him a run for his money. Exactly what Diabate is doing at Leicester. His ability to displace an existing player and/or maintain a certain position exemplifies his class

If down the line Puel opts to go back to his negative style and decides on Diabate, it is good for him. End of season, Nacho will pack his bags and go to a better suitor. Batshuayi is not crying because he left Chelsea, he is a revelation.

It will even be better for Nacho to leave end of the season and work with a more offensive manager.
left for me, I'm not for Nacho constantly switching clubs as that would equate to him running away from competitions. Competition is necessary for a player's development. Competition made him leave a highly rated Manchester city to an averagely rated Leicester city. Trust me bro. If he can't stay and fight for his position, switching teams would mean running to a lowly rated club. Probably a relegation bound team. Now that would be unhealthy for our national team and his career more especially

A player can be good and left on the bench. It happens repeatedly.

If not injury to Gabriel Jesus, I doubt a player of Aguero’s quality will have the kind of run his having and would have been warming bench in some games.

Guardiola prefers Gabriel Jesus style because it suits his philosophy of a defending attacker. Does that mean we should rate Gabriel Jesus ahead of Aguero?

The same Puel kept playing Slimani ahead of Nacho but time for the transfer in the winter market, he let Slimani go and kept Nacho.

Nacho grew up watching Barcelona, trained in an attacking Nigerian Junior team. Worked with Vieira and Pellegrini, two highly offensive managers. He does not suit the park bus/negative system.

As soon as I saw Diabate, I knew we were going to see Negative football from Leicester City. Glad it ended in a walloping.
The Aguero-Gabriel Jesus instance you gave butresses my point the more. Aguero is a good player no doubt but when juxtaposed with GJ, you get to find out he isn't just good enough. GJ checks a handful of the requisites of a 21st century striker. Reason why he always starts ahead of Aguero if match fit. Talking about Nacho; he's up against an unknown Diabate. One would think Diabate's appearances would be limited to short cameos but it's the other way round. Diabate to me is an unknown player so if Nacho should struggle for playing time with him in the picture, it means he simply isn't good enough.

I hadn't imagined that the incident yesterday would wear on up to this moment; even becoming a subject of discussion for the day. Let me also make it clear that I'm no Nacho hater. In the same vein, I'm not an attention seeker. I'm only a concerned fan who wants the best for these players.

With a copious number of young Nigerians plying their trades across various levels of English football, Nacho, Iwobi, Ndidi and Moses are the few I follow very closely because I believe they've got what it takes to compete at the highest level. I would be lying if I said I was happy seeing Nacho starting from the bench with a quite unknown Diabate preferred over the mercurial Nigerian. This made me to intuitively rate him higher than Nacho yesterday. To those always looking for facts, it's quite preposterous how you forgot knowlegde could be intuitive. I said yesterday Diabate must have put in a good shift at that position during training for him to have displaced Nacho. It's just common sense. Pray tell, if you were a manager of some sort with two distinct players vying for a particular spot, you would pick the less effective over the more effective.

Nacho is someone I would love to see spearheading our attack in Russia come june. Him being on the bench means he seriously needs to improve in certain deficient areas of his game.

And like I said yesterday, "I will rate those that deserve to be rated and slate those that deserve to be slated". If you're his relative and find my objective criticisms about him quite harsh, sorry cos the truth they say is bitter. If you choose to attack my person, oh well I'm equally lethal.

He needs to watch Arg vs Nig to see the tool he got on him. let's hope this crowded midfield doesn't backfire.
I would not subscribe to the idea of Puel being clueless. Apparently this is someone that sees these players train and I believe his selections are purely on merit.
