DOWHILE:

As much as I don't like the bargaining process, I cannot help but think that Jobberman Interfered with the whole thing. I want to believe that you declined that offer based on the fact that the salary you're currently earning "is far far far" more than what they offered. However, someone with low previous/current salary, having thought of the benefits would have jumped at the offer. I implore other guys to think about it before declining.

I still don't understand why a topnotch company like this would allow a foreigner make their own bargain for them. I agree with the fact that the guy was rude also cos he did not give room for much opinions on the side of the applicants.

Forget about what someone uploaded here from Tek expert as an excuse for variation in remuneration packages. I know a number of applicants who have more years of experience and scored well in their assessments but were still offered less compared to their peers.

Note: the role is subject to shift. You don't need to work from 7am-10pm(Even robots would complain), it's 9 hours per day( 1 hour break inclusive)and you have 2 days off within the week.

The bottom line is this; If what you are currently/previously earning is far more than what they offered and you still think you may reconsider afterwards because it's impromptu, then tell the man to do you a mail(a few days grace to accept or reject in the offer letter might do wonder) then you can improvise.

If you are not okay with the offer, please don't accept and don't discourage others who are just looking for an avenue like this to explore in their careers......Think twice, weigh your options before accepting/rejecting the offer. my one cent

Best of luck to everyone.

You have said it all!
Welldone sir!

What you don't know is the psychological trauma you go through knowing someone of same role and level earns more than you. That shit kills morale except if you haven't been in that shoe before. Wish all those that got the offer well and I wish u growth. To those they weren't call, move on with life, more opportunities abound for us all. To those that rejected the offer don't regret it, you probably made the best decision, something better will pull through.

Shalom

Funny enough, this is exactly what I am going through right now @bold...
The rationale behind salary variation was explained in that mail... what else do you want?

They organised an assessment and interview to ascertain each applicant's strength and hence the salary...
We Nigerians are used to complaining about every single thing... if the offer doesnt sit well with you, reject it and move on.

Don't accept the offer and then come here and start crying.

You need to ask yourself.. why do I want to work for Tek expert? Is it because of the money or because of your career. I know money serves as motivation. But it's not fair for someone with little or no experience in TSE to receive same money with someone with vast experience. Education play a factor when deciding this things. Certifications also. Work on developing yourself. Some of us was by the grace of God that we got called. You know that if it was ur country men that did the interview we wouldn't have been called. Appreciate what you have

Exactly @bold

I have advised you guys to calm down that all will be rectified after the probation.
On resumption, it will be 3 months intensive training.
After probation, people that did extremely well will be promoted.
For once, take ur eyes off the pay and focus on the goodies to come.
If you aren't satisfy afterwards, you can move on... no one say you will work with tek experts for life.

Reason I like reading your posts...

Like everyone just calm down, lets get settled in first then we can start looking for a way to get promoted...

Simple!

Pls read your offer letter very well. Nothing like deduction of HMO. the company will pay for your HMO. the only deduction is your tax and of course pension. No percentage was stated that will be deducted. deduction is based on the laws of FRN. Pls, be properly informed before you make statements here. stop all these them say...them say. Give ur offer letter to a lawyer to analyze.

LOL, I always feel good reading your posts.

Travel / Plane Crashes In Kathmandu, Nepal; Many Of Its 67 Passengers Feared Killed by LifeIsGuhd(f): 11:49am On Mar 12, 2018
KATHMANDU, Nepal — A passenger jet from Bangladesh slammed into the runway and caught fire upon arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal, on Monday, and officials feared many of the plane’s 67 passengers were dead.

Huge, dark gray columns of smoke uncoiled from the runway as rescuers tried to save as many people as possible from the burning wreckage.

The plane, US-Bangla Airlines Flight 211, was landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on a flight from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, when it crashed at 2:15 p.m.. Witnesses said it was wobbling in the air and seemed unbalanced as it approached. The tail slammed into the runway, and fire erupted at the rear of the plane.

“It sounded like a bomb went off,” said Kailash Adhikari, a driver for a fuel company working at the Kathmandu airport. He said it took 15 minutes for firefighters to put out the flames.

Nepalese police officials said the flight was carrying 67 passengers; it was not clear how many crew members were aboard. After the crash, ambulances with screaming sirens rushed in and out of the airport gates. Some of the wounded were ferried to Kathmandu hospitals by helicopter.

Nepalese officials said they did not know how many people had survived. One witness said the fuselage had been reduced to ashes.

Airline officials were trying to determine the cause of the crash.

“Further details of the crash are still awaited,” said Kamrul Islam, general manager of marketing support for the airline.

Images on social media showed heavy black smoke rising from the airport.

Airport officials said that several people were still trapped in the wreckage 90 minutes after crash. Twenty-five burned bodies were visible at the site, and a photojournalist said that 10 survivors had been taken to the hospital. He said the plane came to rest about 150 feet from the runway.

After the crash, the airport was shut down, and officials said several planes were circling in the sky above Kathmandu waiting for clearance to land. Some were short on fuel as they waited.

The airline’s posted schedule said Flight 211, a Bombardier Dash 8 from Dhaka, was scheduled to land at 2:15 p.m., around the actual time of the crash. The plane, a twin-engine turboprop, can carry as many as 78 passengers.

US-Bangla Airlines began operations in 2014, and its route between Dhaka and Kathmandu was its first international one, said the Center for Aviation. The airline is a subsidiary of the US-Bangla Group, a joint American-Bangladeshi company.

Sports / What Happens When A Footballer Needs To Use The Toilet In The Middle Of A Match? by LifeIsGuhd(f): 9:19am On Mar 11, 2018
The player resists the urge, as would anyone. When the situation becomes imperative, the player goes to the nearest toilet. At the professional league level, there should be one very close by under the grandstand. The player leaves, with a word to a teammate and to an official.

The Laws of the Game, of course, make it cautionable misconduct for a player to leave the field of play, but this is intended to punish disregard of the spatial limits of the field, or unsporting departure from the field to put an opponent offside, or to unsportingly quit the game. A Referee would treat leaving to answer an urgent call of nature as he would treat a need to remedy an equipment or uniform problem, allowing the player to leave the match. The player would report his return to the Referee or another official, the player’s uniform and equipment would be checked (NOT what you might be thinking!), and the Referee would beckon the player to reenter as soon as possible, even during play, as long as the reentry causes no unfair disadvantage to the opponents.

Relieving oneself on the field would be highly unsporting, causing a nuisance or unpleasantness for others, perhaps making that location on the field or ground unplayable, if only temporarily. Recreational players occasionally find themselves unable to find a sanitary convenience near the field, and it may happen that a player might need to step off the field behind the goal to “kneel in prayer” (sometimes said to be “dribbling behind the goal”) and relieve a minor need. Defecation on or near the field (a la Lineker), or in a nearby area, would be highly offensive to the Game and to the public, and once the offense was committed, unless the event was severely involuntary, a player might be cautioned for unsporting behavior.
