Praise Adonai forever, he has done marvellous things |
Bouncingbabyboy:Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah. It's certainly going to come to pass |
HOW JESUS TURNED MY BIGGEST FAILURE INTO MY GREATEST VICTORY I never imagined I would share this, but I believe someone reading this today needs encouragement. A few years ago, my life was a mess. Everything I touched seemed to fail my business collapsed, my finances dwindled, friendships broke, and I even faced betrayal at work. I felt like a complete failure. For months, I cried, prayed, and questioned GOD ALMIGHTIEST: “Why is this happening? Where are You in all this?” I felt abandoned. But GOD was preparing me for something bigger. THE LOWEST POINT I remember the exact night I hit rock bottom. I had just lost a major client, and my bank account was nearly empty. I felt humiliated and hopeless. My friends said, “Move on, it’s over,” but something inside me whispered: “Trust ME, I have not abandoned you.” Psalm 34:18 (AMPC) says: “THE LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” I clung to this promise, even though my emotions were screaming the opposite. TURNING TO JESUS I decided to surrender everything my failures, my pride, and my plans to JESUS. I prayed consistently, seeking HIS guidance, not just help. Every morning, I opened my Bible and declared scriptures over my life: Jeremiah 29:11 (AMPC): “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says THE LORD, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Romans 8:28 (AMPC): “And we know [with great confidence] that GOD causes all things to work together for good to those who love GOD, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Even when nothing changed immediately, my faith grew. I stopped looking at the failure and started looking at JESUS. THE BREAKTHROUGH A few weeks later, things started shifting in unexpected ways: Opportunities appeared: A former client recommended me for a bigger project I never thought I could handle. Financial provision: Small jobs began multiplying; GOD was restoring what was lost. Peace replaced anxiety: I wasn’t scrambling or panicking anymore; Philippians 4:7 (AMPC) became my reality: “And the peace of GOD, which transcends all understanding, will garrison and mount a guard over your hearts and minds in CHRIST JESUS.” The failures that once made me feel worthless became the foundation of my testimony. My “biggest failure” became the platform for GOD’S glory. WHAT I LEARNED Failure is not the end; it’s preparation. JESUS can turn your mistakes into miracles. Consistency in prayer and scripture works. Faith isn’t just hope; it’s daily trust in GOD’S promises. God’s timing is perfect. What seems late to you is just on time with HIM. Your story can encourage others. Share it boldly — someone else needs your testimony. If you are reading this and feel like a failure, remember: JESUS specializes in turning defeat into victory. No situation is too big, no failure too deep, for HIM to transform. Isaiah 43:19 (AMPC) says: “Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Your failure can become your testimony. Your pain can become your platform. JESUS can turn your darkest hour into your brightest moment. Have you ever faced a failure that JESUS turned into a blessing? Share your story — your testimony could inspire someone today. |
Start Your Day With GOD, Not the World How you begin your morning often determines how your entire day unfolds. For years, I used to wake up, immediately check my phone, scroll through social media, read news headlines, and jump straight into tasks. I thought I was being productive, but the result was always the same: anxiety, stress, frustration, and a feeling of being behind before the day even started. I realized I was letting the world set the tone for my mind and heart before inviting JESUS in. The moment I allowed external distractions first, my spirit became heavy, my patience short, and my faith weakened. Practical Shift: Starting With GOD I decided to change my morning routine. Now, every morning, I dedicate 10–20 minutes exclusively to GOD before doing anything else. This includes: Prayer: thanking JESUS for life, protection, and guidance. Scripture reading: opening my Bible and reading a passage that speaks to my current season. Meditation: reflecting on GOD’s promises and aligning my thoughts with HIS will. Declaration: speaking out scriptures over my day to remind myself of HIS faithfulness. Even starting small — 5–10 minutes — can transform your mindset. Scriptures to Anchor Your Morning Psalm 5:3 “My voice shalt THOU hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto THEE, and will look up.” This reminds us that GOD is attentive when we start our day with HIM. Lamentations 3:22-23 “It is of THE LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Every morning is an opportunity to experience GOD’S mercy and renew your hope. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in THE LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.” Starting your day with JESUS reminds you to depend on HIM rather than your own logic or worldly understanding. Psalm 90:14 “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Inviting GOD’s mercy first thing ensures that joy flows throughout the day. Real-Life Example A few months ago, I had a morning packed with back-to-back meetings, deadlines, and a stressful commute. Normally, I would have felt overwhelmed. That morning, instead, I spent 15 minutes reading Isaiah 26:3: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee.” I prayed, declared HIS promises over my day, and intentionally focused on JESUS instead of the stress. When I got to work, challenges came as they always do but I was calm. Decisions were clearer, relationships smoother, and I handled pressure without panic. That morning practice literally changed the trajectory of my day. Practical Steps to Implement This Habit Wake up 15 minutes earlier than usual even 5 minutes helps. Keep a small journal: write a verse or declaration over your day. Start with gratitude: thank JESUS for waking you, for protection, for provision Avoid the phone: don’t check social media or emails first — wait until after your time with GOD. Declare scriptures aloud: speak promises of protection, provision, guidance, and peace over your day. Over time, this habit rewires your spirit. Instead of reacting to the world, you respond from a place of peace and faith. Instead of anxiety dictating your decisions, GOD’S Word does. Conclusion Starting your day with JESUS is non-negotiable if you want peace, clarity, and spiritual alignment. The morning is a spiritual checkpoint it sets your mind, heart, and emotions on the right path. As you consistently start your day with prayer, scripture, and declaration, you’ll notice less stress, more clarity, and a stronger walk of faith. Psalm 143:8 perfectly sums this up: “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in THE LORD do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.” |
Some prayers are called “great” not because they’re fancy, but because they hold everything a human heart needs. Here are some of the greatest prayers, across Scripture and tradition: 1. The Lord’s Prayer (Our Father) Taught by JESUS Himself. It covers worship, surrender, daily needs, forgiveness, and protection. Nothing is missing. 2. The Jesus Prayer “LORD JESUS CHRIST, Son of GOD ALMIGHTIEST, have mercy on me.” Simple. Powerful. Said for centuries in moments of peace and desperation. 3. The Psalms Especially Psalms 23, 51, 91, and 121. They are prayers for every human emotion—fear, joy, anger, repentance, trust. King David prayed them raw and honest before THE LORD. 4. The Prayer of Surrender “Not my will, but YOURS be done.” Spoken by JESUS in Gethsemane. One of the hardest and holiest prayers. 5. The Prayer of Thanks “Thank YOU, GOD ALMIGHTIEST, for life, breath, and all YOU have given.” Gratitude shifts the soul, even when circumstances don’t change. 6. The Cry for Help “LORD, help me.” Short. Direct. Heard immediately by THE LORD. 7. The Prayer of Trust “I place my life in YOUR hands.” This prayer releases control and fear at the same time. |
Things Only Nigerians Understand (Add Yours) When NEPA takes light and you suddenly remember everything you were about to do. “I’m on my way” can mean I’m still lying on my bed. The fear that enters your heart when you hear “Come here” from an elder. That awkward smile when someone says “How far?” and you’re actually not fine at all. Reading chats with low battery like it’s a timed exam. Turning down the volume of your phone when the network is bad—like it will help. Knowing generator sounds by heart: small gen, big gen, angry gen. Saying “It’s well” when things are absolutely not well. The difference between “I’m coming” and “I’m coming now now.” When rain starts and everybody suddenly remembers clothes outside. The respect you give anyone that says “I work in government.” Buying something cheap today and tomorrow the price has doubled. When fuel scarcity starts and everyone becomes an economist. Eating rice calmly until you bite pepper and your ancestors wake up. “Let’s manage it like that” — the unofficial national slogan. The way weddings have better food than birthdays. Being asked “Where are you from?” before “What’s your name?” That feeling when PHCN takes light during a match. Knowing that “just small time” has no fixed meaning. Laughing through pain because complaining won’t change anything. Nigeria will humble you, teach you patience, and still make you laugh the same day 😅 Add yours 👇👇 Let’s see who is really Nigerian in this thread |
Why Loving Genuinely Hurts the Most Loving genuinely is not for the weak. It looks soft from the outside, but it is one of the hardest things a person can do. When you love genuinely, you don’t love halfway. You don’t calculate your actions or keep backup plans. You show up fully—with honesty, loyalty, effort, and vulnerability. You don’t pretend. You don’t play games. And that’s exactly why it hurts the most when things go wrong. Genuine lovers attach deeply. They don’t just love what a person shows on the surface; they love intentions, flaws, dreams, and potential. So when the relationship breaks, they’re not just losing a partner—they’re losing a future they had already imagined in their heart. Another reason it hurts is expectation. When you give pure love, you naturally expect sincerity in return. Not perfection, just honesty and effort. But when that love is met with lies, indifference, cheating, or emotional neglect, the disappointment cuts deep. It feels like betrayal, not just of trust, but of the love you gave freely. People who love genuinely also forgive easily. Sometimes too easily. They stay longer than they should, hoping things will change, explaining away red flags, and choosing understanding over self-protection. By the time they finally let go, they’re already emotionally drained. And unlike people who love casually, genuine lovers don’t move on quickly. They don’t replace people like objects. They grieve. They reflect. They blame themselves. They ask, “What did I do wrong?” even when the problem was never them. But here’s the truth many don’t talk about: loving genuinely hurts the most because it is real. Fake love doesn’t wound deeply. Pretending doesn’t scar the heart. Only something real can cause real pain. Still, loving genuinely is not a mistake. It only becomes painful when given to the wrong person. In the right hands, that same love becomes safety, peace, and home. The pain fades. The ability to love deeply remains. And one day, it will be worth it. |
I started by changing how I spoke to myself. I stopped treating my failures as proof that I wasn’t enough and began seeing them as lessons. I asked for help when I needed it, even when my pride resisted. I learned to rest without guilt and to take one step at a time instead of demanding instant results. Most importantly, I remembered why I started and who I wanted to become. That choice—to not give up—didn’t fix my life overnight, but it changed the way I lived it. It made me stronger, more patient, and more aware of my own resilience. Looking back, I realize that almost giving up was not the end of my story; it was the turning point. I didn’t just survive that moment—I grew from it, and it changed my life forever. |
Uriellla — Called To Pray For The Whole World From a tender age, Uriellla carries a heart that loves GOD deeply. She may be young, but her spirit is bold, and her calling is clear. While many see a child, heaven sees a prayer warrior in the making. Uriellla believes in the power of prayer — not just for herself or her family, but for the whole world. She prays for peace where there is chaos, hope where there is pain, and light where darkness tries to prevail. Her prayers are simple, pure, and sincere — the kind that touch GOD’s heart. The Scripture says, “Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings GOD has ordained strength.” Truly, GOD uses the little ones to do great things. Uriellla reminds us that you don’t have to be old, famous, or powerful to be used by GOD. You only need a willing heart. As she grows, let her faith grow stronger. Let her prayers rise like incense before GOD. Let the world feel the impact of a child who answered GOD’s call to stand in the gap. LIVE PRAYERS FOR THE NATIONS GOD of heaven and earth, we thank YOU. Let YOUR peace rest upon every nation troubled by war and violence. Let THE LORD bring healing to lands broken by hatred and division. Let HIS light shine in places covered by darkness. Let leaders receive wisdom and fear of GOD. Let the hearts of people turn back to YOU. Let righteousness, justice, and mercy prevail in all the earth. Uriellla is called to pray for the whole world — and heaven is listening. 🙏✝️ |

I Almost Gave Up, Then God Did This… There was a point in my life when everything felt stuck. I prayed, fasted, believed, and waited — yet nothing seemed to change. Each day looked the same. Each prayer felt unanswered. I watched others move forward while I remained in the same place, asking God “When will it be my turn?” I won’t lie — I almost gave up. I stopped expecting anything. I prayed out of habit, not hope. Deep inside, I had already accepted defeat. But what I didn’t know was that God was still working, even in my silence and weakness. Then one day, without warning, everything changed. The answer didn’t come the way I imagined. It didn’t come with noise or drama. It came quietly — but powerfully. A door opened that had been shut for a long time. A situation I thought was hopeless turned around. And in that moment, I realized something: God was never late. He was preparing the right time. If God had answered me earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready. If He had moved when I demanded, I might not have recognized it was Him. But by waiting until the last moment — when all hope was gone — God made it clear that it was His hand, not my effort. This is a reminder for anyone reading this who is tired, discouraged, or close to giving up: Hold on a little longer. Your breaking point may be the turning point. If God could do it for me, He can do it for you. If you’ve ever been at the edge and God showed up, share your story. Someone needs that encouragement today. 🙏✝️ |
Plenty oooo, my mouth can't tell it all ooo. I will come back when this thread hit the front page because I know it will. Such a great thread |
This Message Might Be For Someone This Morning You may be waking up today with a heavy heart. Maybe things are not going the way you planned. Maybe you prayed about it, believed God for it, and still… nothing seems to be happening. You’re tired of waiting, tired of hoping, tired of being strong. This message is simple: God has not forgotten you. Delay is not denial. Silence is not abandonment. Sometimes, God works quietly so that when the result comes, there will be no doubt it was Him. What you see as slow progress may actually be careful preparation. If you’re feeling weak, remember that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness. If you’re confused, trust that God sees the full picture even when you don’t. If you feel alone, know that God is closer than you think. This morning, don’t give up. Don’t lose heart. Don’t stop believing. What you’re going through may be shaping you for what’s coming next. And if this message speaks to you, maybe it truly is for you. Stay encouraged. God is still working. 🙏✝️ |
Flangelo12:False equivalence. Equality of status doesn’t mean equality of impact. |
Flangelo12:Charisma and sagacity aren’t measured by noise or party-hopping. The real question is values and consistency. As for ADC, no one has guarantees in politics—but commitment and credibility matter more than speculation. |
izombie:₦250 billion ke? 😂 If it were that easy, every politician for Nigeria would have camped at APC secretariat by now. Until there’s official proof, this one sounds like pure political gossip meant to rile people up. |
Flangelo12:Obi was a candidate, not the owner of Labour Party. Party building requires committed structures, leadership unity, and grassroots work across states. You can’t turn a weak platform into an “enviable party” overnight, especially when internal sabotage and old political habits are still in play. |
helinues:@emboldened Leadership is not only about capacity. There must be structure, decorum, and fairness in handling issues. Without these, working under any leader—no matter how “strong”—will only create more problems, especially in serious political discussions. |
helinues:That question actually proves the point. Right now, none of the opposition parties has a leader strong enough to manage internal crises and keep everyone in line — and that weakness is exactly why defections are happening. Politics is not charity work. When a party is unstable and the ruling party controls the centre, politicians will naturally move toward certainty. And yes, nobody abandons a clear road to enter the bush — but that only explains why they’re moving, it doesn’t magically turn the movement into ideology or good governance. Understanding the reason for an action is different from endorsing it. |
Obiedun:Nobody is crying here, calm down. Asking questions about power dynamics is not hatred for APC. And nobody said governors are being jailed weekly — the point is political pressure exists, whether you like it or not. One-party state concerns didn’t start today and they didn’t start with APC supporters either — it’s a democratic concern, not a campaign slogan. As for 2027, elections are not decided by online chest beating. Power today doesn’t guarantee victory tomorrow — Nigerian politics has taught us that repeatedly. Disagree if you want, but shouting “trash” doesn’t automatically make an argument disappear. |
Cum4me:This comparison only works if sex is being abused. Sex itself doesn’t become meaningless — poor discipline does. Anything done without balance (money, power, weed, even food) loses value. Responsibility entering is not a problem; it’s a sign of maturity. The issue isn’t sex — it’s excess and lack of purpose. |
Why governors are suddenly rushing to APC If you’re surprised, you haven’t been paying attention. This has nothing to do with “progressive ideals” or performance. It’s raw Nigerian power politics. Nigeria is run from Abuja, not the states Security, major funding, approvals, and influence come from the centre. A governor in the opposition is basically a tenant dealing with a hostile landlord. Projects stall. Calls don’t get returned. Security cooperation becomes slow. Nobody wants to govern under that handicap. EFCC and other agencies are political realities Let’s not pretend otherwise. A governor in the ruling party enjoys: softer landings delayed or silent investigations political cover In opposition? Your file suddenly moves from bottom drawer to front desk. This is not theory. It’s precedent. PDP is no longer a safe house Internal wars everywhere: Governors vs party leadership North vs South Old bloc vs new bloc A governor cannot risk his political future on a party that may implode before the next election cycle. Second-term and succession calculations Most defections happen when: a governor is eyeing re-election, or planning who takes over from him Federal backing can decide: court cases primaries security during elections No governor wants to fight these battles alone. Ideology does not exist here APC and PDP are not ideologically different. Same faces. Same methods. Same outcomes. So crossing over does not cost them voter trust — voters already expect it. Bandwagon politics is real Once the ruling party starts accumulating governors: donors move there power brokers follow opposition structures weaken At that point, staying behind becomes political stubbornness, not bravery. The voters are not the priority Hard truth: Governors decamp knowing most voters will still vote along: ethnic lines religious sentiment immediate inducements So backlash is minimal. Bottom line Governors are not joining APC because APC is excellent. They are joining because Nigeria rewards proximity to power, not principles. Until institutions are strong and parties stand for something, defections will remain normal. |
The Danger of Early Sex Early sex get plenty wahala wey people no dey talk about well. Many people rush enter am because of curiosity, pressure from friends, or fear say dem go lose their partner. But truth be say, e fit cause more problems than enjoyment. When sex start too early, emotions dey enter confusion. Person fit mistake small attention for real love. One person go dey catch feelings, the other one no send. Before you know am, heartbreak don land. At that age, many people never sabi handle emotions well, so the pain dey deep. Another issue be say early sex fit lead to regret. Some people do am just to please someone or to belong. After everything, dem go dey feel guilty or used, especially if the relationship scatter. That kind feeling no good for mind at all. Health side still dey. Early sex dey increase chance of unwanted pregnancy and infections. Many young people no get correct information or money to handle those problems. One mistake fit change person life forever. Sex dey sweet, no doubt. But e better when person ready—mentally, emotionally, and even financially. Waiting no be foolishness. Na wisdom. Early sex no be the main problem. The real danger be say e dey happen before people learn how to protect their body, their heart, and their future. |
