State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has alleged of plans by the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government planned to rig the March 19, and December 10, 2016 legislative rerun elections in order to impeach him.

Governor Wike said the plan was to hijack the State House of Assembly and remove him from office.


The Governor said this during a dedication and thanksgiving church service to mark the second year anniversary of his administration at the world headquarters of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade in Port Harcourt.

He also accused the Federal Government of trying to frustrate him through the rigging of the legislative rerun elections in the state.

He declared that God delivered his administration from the evil conspiracies of the APC.


According to Wike, “They wanted to use the rerun elections to get enough state lawmakers to impeach me. But by God’s grace, we won. We don’t have any power compared to the Federal Government. But God’s power is greater and that is why we have always won.

“Everything was done to make sure that I was not sworn in. They went to Anambra court, they went Imo court, they went to Kano court and they went to Abuja court just to make sure that I was not sworn in.

“Just to get an order to stop me from being inaugurated as the governor of the state and God said no, I will be governor.


“Man said we will not have money to pay salaries, but God said we will have money to pay salaries. Man said we will not have money to do projects, but today, God gave us the money to do projects “.

In his sermon, International Director, Greater Evangelism World Crusade, Pastor Isaac Olori, said that God has sustained the administration of Wike because God ordained him in the first place.

How could you possibly know without first hand experience. It's very wrong for you to say we know without experience. If you keep suggesting to yourself or others knowledge without experience you will die without the true feelings of reality. Thank God the master know that you don't speak of truth in that sense. It has to be experienced.

Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Sure. He will never be able to see the true kingdom of things. And so I ask you again do you know the name of your God or you just have a head knowledge of the message.

I want to counsel you, if you are ready to experience the almighty father God or to ever know his name or his person, ask for experience. Go for beyond your mouth and natural experience. See the invisible and touch the untouchable. When you get to that stage the world will know you are baptised into the river of God Almighty. And he will confirm your word with signs of God Almighty names.

IGNORING President Donald Trump’s past admonition, U.S. first lady Melania Trump did not cover her head when they arrived in Saudi Arabia on the opening leg of his first international tour since taking office.

Two years ago, then-citizen Trump criticised then-first lady Michelle Obama’s decision to go bareheaded on a January 2015 visit with her husband.



“Many people are saying it was wonderful that Mrs. Obama refused to wear a scarf in Saudi Arabia, but they were insulted. We have enuf enemies,” Trump tweeted at the time, including a shorthand spelling for “enough.”


Under the kingdom’s strict dress code for women, Saudi women and most female visitors are required to wear a loose, black robe known as an abaya, in public. Most women in Saudi Arabia also cover their hair and face with a veil known as the niqap.
But head coverings aren’t required for foreigners and most Western women go without.

While Mrs. Trump dressed conservatively Saturday in a long-sleeved, black pantsuit accented with a wide, gold-coloured belt, her below-the-shoulder brown hair blew in the breeze at King Khalid International Airport in the capital city of Riyadh.

She followed the example set by other, high-profile Western women, including Mrs. Obama.

On visits earlier this year, British Prime Minister Theresa May and German Chancellor Angela Merkel also shunned head coverings. Then-first lady Laura Bush generally went without covering her head, though she once briefly donned a headscarf that she received as a gift.

Hillary Clinton, on trips to Saudi Arabia as Obama’s secretary of state, also did not cover her head.

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, a senior White House adviser who is also accompanying her father, also left her head uncovered.

Saudi Arabia adheres to an ultraconservative interpretation of Islamic Shariah law where unrelated men and women are segregated in most public places. Women are banned from driving, although rights advocates have campaigned to lift that ban.

EFCC official indicted for alleged corruption practices

- He allegedly also acquired lands in​ ​Nasarawa state worth over N10 billion​

A top official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abubakar Madaki, has been allegedly caught up in massive corruption practices.

NAIJ.com learnt that Madaki was reportedly indicted for corrupt practices after documents showing huge purchases of properties came up.

Madaki retired as a Superintendent of police in 2009 before he was recalled back by the current EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu.

According to a report by Daily Post, Madaki reportedly acquired several properties worth billions of Naira during his term before retiring and when he was recalled back by Magu.

He allegedly bought a N450 million house in Wuse 2 and another house for a female friend in Wuse zone 4, worth N200 million.


He allegedly also bought land worth N10 billion naira in Nasarawa's state.

Madaki also reportedly aquired the following properties in the last 10 years:

January 2014, ​Madaki ​allegedly ​purchased over 60.59 hectares in Angwan Chediya, Karu LGA in Nasarawa state.

In February 2010, he ​allegedly ​purchased over 61 hectares in Angwan Monday, Karu LGA, Nasarawa state.

In June 2016, ​Madaki​ allegedly​​ purchased over 34.38 hectares in Angwan Sarkin Mada along Angwan Chero Road, Karu LGA, Nasarawa state.

On August 2016, he ​allegedly ​purchased over 16.96 hectares at Gunduma along Madubi road, Karshi development area, Karu, LGC, Nasarawa state.

​​In total, Madaki​ allegedly​ purchased 474 hectares of land​, despite being​ on a police superintendent’s salary.

There are words out that the Chairman ​of​ the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itsey Sagay​ has been petitioned by concerned staff of EFCC.

Sagay has reportedly ordered a probe of the case.

EFCC is however yet to confirm that such scandal occurred in it's organisation.

The EFCC head of media publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, when he was contacted, said he has no knowledge of the case or the incriminating documents.

Uwujaren said: “I don’t know of any documents of the acquisition​s​ you are talking about. I only speak on what I know.”

Uwujaren was asked if EFCC would take the due process if any of its officials were to be found guilty of corruption.

He replied: “Then the law will take its course. But at this moment, I’m not aware of any document.”

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday May 18 signed three executive orders that will significantly change some of the ways government business and operations are conducted in the country forthwith.

Premium Times reports that ahead of the signing, Mr Osibanjo held an interactive session at the old Banquet Hall of Presidential Villa with all relevant government officials, including ministers, permanent secretaries and heads of departments and agencies among others.
