Ok sir, I've read and properly digested all the contents in the book you mentioned and many other financial books. I also have a mini Mba from a well-renowned institute. In our country land is over priced, if anyone want to use 500k or 1m to buy a land with the aim of making 30%profit in the next 5yrs and you ask me, I'll simply say the person is not informed.
The best way to protect one's money especially when the money is not huge to buy a land in a good location that has the tendency to appreciate in the next 5yrs is to invest in money market. Presently the rates are low but one can still get a profit of above 5% per annum(as high as 11.2%)for doing nothing and your money is well protected.
Permit me to end by saying any wise elder that refused to change with the changing and dynamic economy will become redundant.
Gone are the days, of using the first few savings/money (which is not huge) to buy a land or build a house with the hope of 50% appreciation in the next few years.
Buy the land from the local agents, not those package ones.

Their are very cheap land that will appreciate all over Nigeria.

Locate and buy them
Do small biz on them,
Live on it(You will stop paying house rent).
Its the best move for a starter, because she will surly loose that 3M,if she invest elsewhere.

I don tire.
Abeg next time don't try to bring anybody down.

The rates of land are not small, it all depends on the owner of the land and location. One of my village man sold a plotland he bought for 500k,for 5mill ten year later.

The most important thing is to invest your money where you are very very sure you won't loose it.

After having lots of investment that are not very risky, then you can start chasing after big/fast money.

Good evening everyone, I have saved about 3M naira and I have narrowed all my business ideas down to:

Salon
Female apparel boutique (Online + Brick & mortar store)
Restaurant

I love the three equally but I would like to know which one wins in terms of

-Stability(Which one of the three is most stable and the easiest to run with peace of mind)

-Highest rate of failure (Which one of them has the highest failure rate)

-Recession proof( I know people eat all the time but I did my research and even in this whole pandemic, people are still making their hair and ordering clothes online)

-Profitability( Which one is the most profitable, to me I think it’s not possible to eat 25k food and do 25k hair but you can order expensive clothes if you can afford it and if it’s totally worth it)

-Sustainability: Which is sustainable for the longest period of time? I would like my business to be around for a long long time and even grow into franchising

-Finally, which can be easily crippled by economic meltdown and decline.

Personally, I am leaning towards boutique because I love fashion and I don’t think it’s that hard for real, plus you are not limited to people in your area, people in different states and countries can still buy from you BUT I don’t want my love for the fashion industry to cloud my judgement, I would love to be slapped with the truth and reality.

Thank you
Don't forget to read this great book called the richest man in Babylon, before going into any business. It will open your eyes about money.
It will make you wiser if you adhere to it.
Read it at least thrice.

The first time I read the book,I couldn't rap my head around it.

I can see you modified your post. For landed properties, the real estate business here in Nigeria is over priced. The probability of buying a land of 500k or 1million now to sell in the next 5yrs to make profit of above 10% is very low. I'm simply saying the painful truth.
The first business former vice president Atiku Abubaka invested in was landed properties.

I know real info about the Nigerian economy, it's not a matter of much. Most of what you guy's read from books and hear from motivational speakers are incorrect.

My guy read the richest man in Babylon, after reading this book you will know the truth about money.

Among all the books about finance I have read it's the best and the only true book about money. If you are deep you will understand.

Your first investment should be a landed property, because investing in other business is very risky for an inexperienced person.

Land and landed properties are safer.
On that land the owner can start any side hustle.

It's all about patience.
The rich men in Nigeria know this.

Point of correction I didn't modify my post.

The owner of land can get up to 500% profit on their land, pls stop been naughty.

The most important thing is for an investor to protect their money from big losses at this stage.

So they should start with landed properties.

Ask the wise elders about buying landed properties as your fist investment and see if they will tell you it's wrong. It's the best move.

Those old wisemen are very wise with money

When it comes to finance I have an astute financial background, you can check my post about some deep financial advice.

I will advise you to read the richest man in Babylon before you start embarrassing your self financially.

The first rule of money is to protect it from thieves/loss.

Never put your money in the Nigerian money market because inflation will wipe away the value of your money.Let me teach you about money for free.

You insulted me first.

You could have dropped your advice without quoting mine.

Stop fighting against a higher knowledge you don't understand.

The part that even blew me away was at the second bolded. Jeez!! It shows your level of reasoning is not in terms with the present realities in Nigeria.
As for fish farming, poultry, manufacturing and co that you mentioned. For any one to excel in any of those biz, the person need 95% knowledge of the day to day running of the biz.

@op i suggest you invest 70% of that money in money market instrument like mmf, bond and co then use the 30% to test the waters of any business you decide to go into. Also don't leave/abandon the source of income that gave you the 3 million savings.
I talked about investing the money on landed properties that won't vanish over night first.

She is sure of selling at a higher price in the future, she can live on it,etc.

While other biz can be done by the side.

Manufacturing must not be big, their are small stuffs you can process on a piece of land ad make money.

You are just a stupid small boy.

Even the wise elders know my advice is the best,if you doubt me,then ask them.

Investing in Nigerian money market for change is a no! No! For the wise men, because the Naira is not a stable currency.

Stop giving wrong advice online.

Ask your elders for mor info.

BusinessRe: How Can I Become A Distributor Of Big Brands In Nigeria? by LikeAking:
Trottle:
Hi SooCute and others,

Becoming a Distributor for an FMCG company is a great, stable way to invest and get steady income especially in Nigeria. Unlike other volatile industries/sectors, you are assured of steady cash-flow and stability that is increasingly becoming absent in other industries/sectors.

I work for an FMCG company that own well established brands (SNIPER, PURIT & CARAT) and various products in Nigeria and West Africa, so I talk based on what's obtainable in the industry.

I'll be using our perspective and the Nigerian (West African) context to answer your question, and I'm sure it is most likely the same for other FMCG organizations too. Now to your question. To become a distributor for an FMCG, four major criteria will be considered:

1. Financial Capacity: Do you have the required fiscal resources to stock your warehouse with enough product to serve the market without experiencing major and consistent stock-outs? And as your business grows, you should have the prospect of expanding it and investing an agreed amount of money within an agreed period of time.

2. Logistics: Pertaining to logistics, you need to or be willing to procure a warehouse with an agreed capacity, you need to or be willing to get an office space for the company's manager & Staff.

In addition, you'll need to have a 4-6 staff strength (usually a Van Sales Rep, Market Sales Rep, Account Officer, Operational Manager and Store Keeper) to run the business smoothly. Note: The company will assign a Key Account Executive who will be seeing to the management and day-to-day administration of all your assets (human & material. The 4-6 staff will be managed by the KAE, BUT recruited by you.

Lastly for logistics, you'll need at least 1 bus for delivery and penetrating interior parts of the territory. This is where the VSR comes in.

3. Capability: This means that you need to have basic knowledge of the FMCG industry. It is recommended that you are ambitious. Once the money starts rolling in many distributors become laid back and rest their oars.

4. Business Ethics: Lastly, business ethics. Including the usual and necessary business ethics, you need to also align with the company's value. Also, you should not be one that hoards vital info that could help your business and by extension the company to grow. Some of the info could be; market, sales, credit etc).

Like other businesses, FMCG has pros and cons.
Some of the pros are;
1. You get discounts and rebates
2. Strong presence in the territory and beyond. Which translates to increased revenue.
3. Exclusive rights to sell the brand in the territory
4. Opportunity to control more brands and get juicier offers.
5. Greater buying power.

The major cons I can think of being a distributor may probably be that ;
1. Initial capital outlay could be fairly high.
2. Controlling too many brands in a territory can make you lose (some Distributors control tens and hundreds of brands) focus and pay less attention to growth and brand performance.

Note: We are currently expanding and receiving applications for Distributorship of the aforementioned brands (SNIPER, PURIT & CARAT) in Kaduna State. If you are interested in securing distributorship rights, send a mail with the title 'PROSPECTIVE KD' to: ibrahim.abubakar@saroafrica.com

Regards.

I will give you the best advice no body in Nigeria will give to you for free, because I love to see people progress.

I am advising based on my sweat/bitter experiences in life.

Listen carefully so that you won't regret later.

I will advise you to pause all your current plans for the business you mentioned for some time.

Before you go into any risky business, make sure you have invested on land/landed properties. These options will give you a lift when other options disappoint you.

I will advice you to be very patient, look for a good agent you can buy land through. Make sure the agent is legit, meet those that have bought land to link you up with their agent (Best option).Don't meet any agent by your self/directly to avoid been duped.

If you can see legit land of 500k/per plot in a good location buy like 4/5.

If you see land at 1mil buy 2/3.

After buying the land, start any business you like on that land, except the likes of fish farming and co.

Don't forget to also build a small house for your self on that land.

You can start a day care/nursery school.
Pure water
Manufacturing
Food Processing
Poultry
Etc.

Raise another money through this small business on your land and finance your dream biz.

You can also plant food for yourself.

The benefits of buying plots of land.
You are very sure you won't loose all your investment and go broke.

You won't pay house rent again.

You will sell it and make money in the future, etc.

After you have acquired land, you can venture into any wild business, because you landed properties will act as a spring board during though times.

Don't be crazy after quick riches.

I read a post where a guy was complaining about babes forming, treating men like poo etc.

guys, una dey take all those their act's of forming and pride serious Abi?.Its just brilliant acting. The lady you are chasing after even want you than you want her.Be patient+humble, you go collect you go collect your share.

Most times they have a man who is currently deceiving them, just be patient,he will soon break her fragile heart, then she will come beging.Patience!.

Men chasing after woman is natural. Animals do it often(They even pass through worse situations). So be very patient with the ladies until you achieve you mission.

The easiest route is to spend money on her(Bribe). Many men use this route to achieve their mission in no time, but they won't tell you. This is the easiest route to get Naija babes, but stingy won't use it,instead they will start complaining bitterly about women.

If you don't want to use the easy route then use the hard route reserved only for real men.

Those guys that claim to be ladies men also pass through all the hell of ladies madness and their pride, but they won't tell their fellow guys the truth, because of ego.

Most guys who claim to be players are just liar's, they play nothing. Babes they bounce them steady like other guys, etc, but they won't tell their fellow guys this part it.

Most so called players spend madly on women and also pass through lots of BS from women, but they won't tell their guys this part.Have ever wondered why some of your guys, who are the so called players are always broke?.Who dey chop their money?. Na women.

Just be patient + humble you will achieve your mission. She will not agree for you today, but tomorrow or next, she will bounce on your bed like a bouncing baby girl.

It's all about patience.

WHAT DO FEMALES OFFER IN A RELATIONSHIP ASIDE FROM THEIR PUSSY
and so reading this I decided to give it a try and put it into practical
In my street there's is a big Field there where we play football and so some guys use to bring their bae along and so before my set i was sitting down warming up
I saw this girl I moved closer to her she even thought I want to toast her I greet her she didn't reply very well I digest that
And I asked her politely saying please I want ask you a question she was like ok am listening
I said in a relationship what else do women offer aside from their pussy,,she was just looking at me like crayfish so after some time of looking she started saying nonsense cause we are many there she don't want to feel embarrassed or something
Started giving me answers that didn't correlate with what I asked her I just shake my head and sigh,,left her alone and went to play my set

Anyone who is conversant with documentary very well will know that what the OP is passing across to us do not affect human beings alone but Also animals too,, hippos are the most territorial animals and kill themselves for sex whereas after fighting and wounding each other the female will still have to choose who to mate with,,this also Happens with snake too the Mozambique cobra will kill to have sex even if a human being try to stop it the person is gone
And scientist discovered it that it takes about an hour for a Mozambique spitting corbra to show the female how strong it is in order to have sex with the female
So all what Op have said so far happen in animal kingdom too.. that is the nature in which God created all males be it animals or human
Many men are uninformed.
Always complaining about women.

Will you be happy if your sisters just dish their p anyhow?
Be patient.

Most of you guys are highly impatient.

A man must chase after a woman till he gets her,if you can't do it then quit.

Why won't the girls form,etc.

If you understand women you won't complain.

Simple Feed formulation

Fingerlings stage:Instead of investing on factory feeds like copens, etc at this stage.Feed them with grounded cray fish/fish/meat particles/boiled eggs. You will surly get a better yield at a lower cost

Juvenile and.above:At this stage the need lots of protein and calcium. The best source of protein for fishes at this stage is animal protein, not plant.(You can augment with plant protein)

Ingredients.
Fresh cat fish(Go to farms and buy the smallest size fishes the have to offer(#250/300/400, per kilo, depending on your location)

Garri:This one is very easy to get(Although its very expensive now)

Before now 100 kg was 8k in my area if you buy directly from the shop.

Bone mealsadSmall quantity)

Blood.

You can also add a food supplement that will boast growth.

Any other thing you can come up with.
Eg.Boiled eggs.

Dice the fishes and mix with every other ingredients the way to prepare garri for drinking.(Mix at 60-65%/35-40 garri,50%/50%,40%/60%).Depending on your pocket.(More garri less others or vice versa)

After an hour the feed will be solid.

Then start feeding the fishes with this formulae you will get a better/better/better yield.

You are feeding you fishes with real ingredients, the feed in question will also be very heavy.(You will see the difference).

Note:Fish feeds are dried for preservation.

Moisture is very important in every food. It's where the core ingredients reside.Once you dry them out you know the rest na.

This feed is well formulated with the right ingredients and it's fresh.

Check my previous post i never allude i didnt incur installation cost, what i said is i pump water with zero running cost. You dont run away from business because you have to incur some costs, you approach it by reducing your expenses most especially the running cost, idea of farming with no expenses belong to the past, today farming requires you use technology to drive your business, thats where we should be looking at. There are people taking advantage of this already, learn from them and it will change your perspective from saying fish farming is not profitable
You said you pump water with zero runing cost,so I was trying to draw your attention to cost involved.

Those involved in pure water sell the water, not to pump and flush it way like fish farmers.

They also take not of depreciation, but fish farmers don't.

Majority of fish farmers don't consider the cost/worth of the water they pump, else they will rethink.

Sir,learn about Economics, Accountancy and business, then you will discover the truth.

One can't be pumping and flushing away thousands/millions of liters of water worth thousands of naira,in the name of cat fish.

The above is just one demerit.

Am laughing out loud now and am sure a lot of people have seen through what you spent 20 years to aqcuire.

You called hatchery 'mere'? You said a modern hatchery dont need 24hours in RAS model?

Seriously am beginning to doubt your 20years experience in fish farming. Because we have taken a back sit on a platform that inspires million of unemployed Nigerians and have helped lift thousands of people out of employment should not give you boldness to run it down.

Condernning fish farming business on fish farming platform is not only ridiculous but unacceptable. If you have failed in the business doesn't make the business bad for others. Some have failed but have overcome their failure, they are now counting their money.
I will advice you to be humble and learn.
Be a learning machine.

YOU DON'T NEED 24/7 ELECTRICITY TO RUN A HACHYERY.kindly ask others

Second you can't pump water with solar energy without any cost.
Let me ask you a question.
Didn't you buy the solar panel?
What about depreciation. (The more use ur solar, tech the more the value depreciates and one day it Will get spoilt/old,so you must replace it)

The the value o your solar energy tech is depreciating by 1.5% percent of its value every month, you must make a minimum percent of 3% profit on that machine monthly. In Nigeria its advisable to make at least 5% on that machine due to the constant inflation in the country.

What do you want me to school you about about fish farming.

Hatching?
Feed formulation tricks?
Medication?
Etc.

Remember this the amount of money you spend pumping water for those fishes alone, will make you more money than the fish biz it self.Even pure water manufacturers don't pump water the way fish farmers pump water, yet they make more money daily.

Are not suspecting a flaw in this business.

Economics will give you the answer.

20 years in the fish game listen to the voice of experience.

I am an astute farmer, I don't make noise,I give fact.

I sleek the truth,cos I want Naijatoprogress

I have people that are doing purewater business here, come to Kaduna road if you want to know the intrigue in their business.

What you failed to understand is there's always a comparative advantage, because you people are into pure water business doesn't mean i will be successful in it until i carry out my feasibility study and analyze my SWOT. The direction of those indicators is what will guide my success or failure. Your argument regarding that doesn't hold water at all.
See my brother, its deep thinkers like me an you that will develop this country.

I won't advice any body to rare an animal that won't eat grass,or minimum of simple grains available around them at a cheap price/free.

If you are asked to estimate the value of 100k liters of water used in a pond per month, what will your answer be?

Don't use pure water rate oh.

Use any rate you are inspired to use.

Just make an estimate.
