certainly there would be a sim slot but some people say the option to switch to the physical sim isn't present

The process is correct but the problem might be your smartcash bonus balance, note that the bonus balance is updated from time to time based on usage and if at the time of subscription the balance was below the bonus amount to be credited, you will not get the cashback. Had a similar issue months back and trust airtel, dem no send anybody; all my complaints fell on deaf ears.

So word of advice always check your smartcash bonus balance before initiating any transaction that requires a cashback and ensure the balance is enough for the cashback or else otilo!!!!!

Please guys, does the ZTE ODU use physical sim? Asking for a friend. His cane with Esim but wants to switch to physical sim. I heard there's no switch option in the ZTE

Try remove band lock and then lock again.

Had slow internet the other day and by just doing that it got resolved.

I just got my own odu ... Network is very bad at home as expected... But at work still normal... There must be a way to make this fast .. it has 3g but I don think the 3g will be as good as the 4g router

You login with root as username and admin as password, the click on device settings , then advance settings select at the top band lock. There you see the 5g and 4 g bandz

I tried the different suggestions, band 7 alone here gives around 2-5mbps for download while upload is quite good so, I kept trying different combinations till I combined 7,3,1 and 8 on 4G mode alone which overtime proves to be ok with one the results attached.

I am planning to place an order for the ODU by next week, but I am skeptical about its reliability as a result of many negative reviews.

In my compound, different locations give different speeds. Outside the gate give about 200mbps, while within the compound it drops to about 40mbps, and inside my flat it way less.

However, I discovered a spot behind by kitchen giving me the rate you see in the snapshot below.

I hope the engineers will be willing to mount the ODU behind my kitchen or do they have strict rules around that?

I had an issue with my ODU. It was installed for me on Monday 15th of December, on 17th of December the router/IDU started behaving funny, I took it back to their office on 18th December, it was returned to me on monday 5th of January 2026. Same ODU but different IDU. So same subscription was it on it. I asked them about the days I haven't used the device, they said the subscription will be extended. I haven't gotten any mail/SMS to that effect and I don't know how to check if it has really been extended.

Despite them fixing my issue and giving compensation, speed test show less than 5mbs since this morning. Streaming is surprisingly good though.

Here in my area, 5G is nothing more than a distant dream; we only have 4G or, at best, a touch of 4G+. However, just earlier this week, something caught my eye—the 5G indicator on my router lit up. Curious, I took a peek and saw the cryptic letters '5G NSA' displayed. I'm still puzzled by what '5G NSA' truly means, especially since my video streaming still stutters and buffers like clockwork. I had hoped that with the magic of 5G, my streaming experience would be utterly seamless.

5G NSA is based off of 4G's existing infrastructure. Though it may be faster with lesser latency, the implementation matters. If their 4G has not been properly implemented/optimized, don't expect their 5G to be much better.
