Business / Re: 1,000 African Entrepreneurs Join $100M Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme by Lilkingsamuel(m): 12:07pm On Apr 04, 2016
nigerianngo:
Congratulations to the Entrepreneurs!!. Of the 45,000 entrepreneurs from 54 African countries that applied, Nigeria had the highest number of entrepreneurs selected!

Launched in 2015, the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP) is the largest African philanthropic initiative devoted to entrepreneurship and represents a 10-year, $100 million commitment, to identify and empower 10,000 African entrepreneurs, create a million jobs and add $10 billion in revenues to Africa’s economy.

Over 45,000 entrepreneurs from 54 African countries applied for the 2016 cohort, more than doubling the number of applications received in 2015. Successful candidates represent diverse industries, led by agriculture, ICT and fashion. The highest numbers of applicants came from Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda and Cameroon. All five regions – North, East, Southern, Central and West Africa are represented.

Over the next nine months, the 2016 cohort will receive the intensive online training, networking and mentoring, that provide a tool kit for success and sustainability. They will also participate in the three-day Elumelu Entrepreneurship Forum later in the year, the largest annual gathering of African entrepreneurial talent.

Parminder Vir OBE, CEO of The Tony Elumelu Foundation, said: “We saw phenomenal success with the first cycle of TEEP – the success stories of the TEEP 2015 alumni are a testament to the transformative power of the programme we have built. Through TEEP, we are proving to the next generation of entrepreneurs that their ideas can change their communities, their countries and their continent.”

LMAO!!! @your last paragraph. But for real, you are 100% correct. Showing a girl excess love means you should be ready to be kicked about and completely taaken for granted.

This nonsense attitude seems to be peculiar to Nigerian girls. They like bad guys that causes them pains etc. Infact, a good man who calls them all day and doeas all kind of stuffs to show how much he loves them seems to bore them. No girl is indispensible IMO.
every be like: BAD GUYs BAD GUYs BAD GUYs . But who are the bad guys

Hi Viewers,
I am an aspirant of TEEF, I know a couple of people are aspiring to become one of the privileged alumni of Tony Elumelu seed fund to kick start their businesses.
It is on this note that I want to call on all nairalanders who has been opportuned to have won the challenge before, to please contribute to success of new aspirant of TEEF 2016.
However, all aspirant can converge here to discuss the way forward, and to talk about how we can help ourselves to actualise our dreams by leveraging on this golden opportunity.
If we didn't help ourselves, other smaller African countries will sweep the chances away. It has happened before, let wake up Nigerians, we've seen it happen during last FALA ( Future African Leaders Award).

Romance / Re: 7 Silly Characters In Guys That Can Turn A Lady Off by Lilkingsamuel(m): 2:23pm On Aug 25, 2015
StephanieEzeh:
Except you are not mature emotionally as a lady or you are just too incapable of stepping up your game, the following characters should be a total turn-off for any right thinking lady with class!

1. "Mature" guys that sag: You can see the mature in quotation marks because I doubt if they are really mature! Some guys who are above 30 still sag their trousers! Don't you look at yourself in the mirror and see how you look like a condemned prisoner on Death Row to be hanged? Dress decently guys and stop all these silly attributes of a naïve teen that you are always trying to put up! That's irresponsibility to the core!!! No responsible woman will date you abegcheesy

2. Calling a girl countless times: Its time to behave yourselves guys. When you call a girl up to 3 times and she's not picking, chill and see if she calls you back. If she doesn't, it means she isn't into you at all. If she calls back, fine. You should know this by now; calling her all the way when she's not picking exposes you as a desperate love-starved guy that can used and dumped! Personally, this turns me off.

3. Wanting to have sex immediately you meet a girl: Except she is a woman of easy virtue, demanding for sex or trying to entice her to sleep with you would definitely turn a right-thinking woman off immediately! What if she's your sister? Would you want another guy to get down with her just like that? It is the unusual, abnormal and unnecessary thirst for sex that makes many guys to act like programmed machineswink when you see a woman, you begin to analyze her female anatomy with your ravened eyes like hungry lions because small shawarma and probably, 2 bottles of SNAP that you bought.

4. Begging a girl to love you: Any guy that begs me to love him has already been seen as an incurable mugu by me. It is a huge turn-off!!! Whether you do it through phone call, sms or face to face, its still the same thing. Do you know how you appear when you do this? Like a dumb ass! Yea, a dumb blokegrin Some would even go as far as kneeling down for you.

5. Bad English: When some guys open their mouths to speak, you would be surprised! They can't even differentiate past tense from present tense or past-participle from past tense! A guy once met me at a mall and asked: "Did you attend Uniport? Your face looks similar" cheesy. I held myself back from bursting out laughing!!! Instantly, right there, standing with him, I was turned off and I left him staring into the air like an abandoned child.

6. Begging a girl for cash and other goodies:

Whenever guys rant about digging in girls, I just laugh. I have experienced it several times and first-hand, where guys beg as if there's no tomorrow for stuffs like cash, recharge cards, etc. This is shameful. Its disgraceful angry If I want to get a present for a guy or give him cash, which is not advisable if he's not a worthy person, I'll do that from my heart but not you scheming and begging. Why don't you get up your lazy butt and look for something useful to do with your life? You think Nigerian ladies are like those white women you scam daily? We are far wiser...but some ladies still fall for such romantic scam all in the name of love from Mr Smooth-talker!

7. Irresponsible life-style: Some guys don't even consider their age. They still feel they are 10 years old. They do nothing other than smoking skunk, weed, cigarette, popping Tramadol and all silly types of drugs you can ever imagine. That's a huge turn-off if you don't know. Only the awful smell that emanate from your body after smoking and excessive drinking can even make a woman leave you immediately!
The characters listed above(minus 2, 4 and 6) will surely fit at least one Nigerian male celeb you have a deadly crush on. Tell me its a lie sister smiley

Politics / Letter To Mr. President by Lilkingsamuel(m): 3:23pm On Jul 10, 2015
OPEN LETTER TO MR. PRESIDENT.

Dear Mr. President,
Nigerians greet you. We commend the manner you have
handled issues like the recent hike in fuel price and state’s
non-payment of workers’ salaries. These achievements of
yours make us proud of the man we unanimously elected to
lead us. Yes, a great victory it was. Not one single state failed
to give you their support some by voting and others passively
by sitting on the fence praying that you still win somehow.
And when the results were called even your opponents were
the first to congratulate you. But now after all the hope and
joy we have shared with you, some of your recent actions are
beginning to give us cause to doubt our initial conclusion that
you are the bearer of that change we voted for.
Six weeks after your inauguration into office our ministries
have not seen new ministers. Do you intend to do everything
on your own? If every sector of our dear country will have to
wait till September to have new ministers, “Baba you are

going too slow.”
Nine out of ten appointments you gave are to Northerners.
Where is the principle of Federal Character in this? Are you
trying to prove Orubebe right; that you are tribalistic? He
must be somewhere now telling people “I said it”. You also
said that any attack against Boko Haram is an attack on the
North. Did you not vow to us to end insurgency? When did
Boko Haram and the North become synonyms?
Boko Haram suspects are not regular criminals you can move
around and keep in any prison facility. Other countries even
build facilities, for such sworn enemies of the state, outside
their own soil. Where such facilities are non-existent, is it not
better to leave them where they are. Moving them to South-
East or any other geopolitical zone for that matter is more or
less a direct attempt at spreading the violence.
It is too early for you to have any issues with the senate.
Accept and prepare to work with whoever they have made
their President and Deputy Senate President.
Nigerians advise you. You are a senior citizen. Baba what
kind of legacy do you intend to leave? Retrace your steps
immediately. You said you are only staying
for one tenure, we
wonder how you will complete this tenure if you continue like
this.

MR. PRESIDENT MUST HEAR US!!!
