Just hear yourself - "Small boy." It is indolent individuals like yourself who went through the back door to get a scholarship that often talk the loudest. Eat a humble pie and stop displaying more of your stupidity here. We know your type. And by the way, I ALREADY hold a Master's degree. Nama! C4123: |

We always have individuals like you - faceless puppets/sycophants, who are willing to defend the CORRUPT status quo. How does the NDDC failing to pay me N15,000 reimbursement for almost two weeks - my RIGHT and their DUTY, a sign of "bitterness" or whatever? When you think you are intelligent than others because you or someone you know probably got selected/paid promptly (based on CRONYISM or corruption), you are only embarrassing yourself. C4123: |

Like I responded to @subcbuoy above, it is a DELIBERATE act by the NDDC itself and not really my bank. You can see that after they knew I have copied the EFCC and other relevant stakeholders last night, they decided to pay me this morning after TWELVE (12) days of non-payment and silence to my complaints. It is DELIBERATE and isn't the first nor last time the NDDC is doing this. Too much corruption and greed. They better pay me the second reimbursement and go with their so-called Scholarship! yyeskez: |

It is a DELIBERATE act by the NDDC. I sent a second e-mail to them and COPIED the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and few other agencies/relevant stakeholders last night. Guess what? They paid me this Thursday morning around 10:03 AM after TWELVE (12) days of non-payment nor response to my email and phone calls to their official channels since taking the Oral Interview on December 10, 2022. If I didn't copy the EFCC and other relevant bodies/stakeholders, I bet they would not have paid me till now. Very corrupt and greedy people in the NDDC! I am waiting for my second payment. subcbouy: |

No payment till now, I have not received my cash. They are being selective in the payment of this reimbursement. The NDDC is very prone to corruption. subcbouy: 1 Like |

It is obvious they have selected all the candidates they needed to take, mostly those who applied to study in January/May 2023. They DELIBERATELY refused to make this known to all applicants; that is, for them to register for January/May 2023 intake in overseas. And I am suspecting that the reimbursement was mainly or only for the final successful candidates and not for all candidates shortlisted for the Oral Interview last week. Anyway, I still congratulate everyone who made it this far. yyeskez: |

I was congratulating @yyeskez for receiving a (success) mail from the NDDC last week's Thursday morning as he declared. The CBT score is not really important at this stage of the Oral Interview since nobody knows the exact criteria used in grading the final successful candidates. Besides, every specialization/study area had its own average score or cut-off mark necessary for moving to the next stage. If truly they have selected and sent e-mails to all 200 successful candidates, then there is nothing we can do or hope for. Perhaps, they chose MAINLY or only those whose study will commence between "January and May 2023" instead of September 2023 considering the very short timeframe used in the selection process after Oral Interview (barely six days). My concern now is how to get my reimbursement of N15,000 which up till now have not been credited to my bank account despite I attended my Oral Interview last week Saturday (seven days ago) in Port Harcourt. If truly, the names of successful candidates have been picked then they will be posted on the NDDC official website in due time. However, I am not aware at this point that successful candidates have been selected. Lemken: 1 Like |

I hope they pay me before the end of tomorrow or Saturday. I spent over N16,000 travelling to-and-fro Port Harcourt from my State to sit for the Test and Oral Interview. But, the most important thing is being selected amongst the 200 successful candidates. yyeskez: |

Six hundred (600) is possible, though I believe it is less than that figure. Also consider the amount for transportation reimbursement if it were to be at least 600 interviewees. By the way, when are we expected to get our reimbursement or whatever money they intend to pay into our bank accounts which we filled out in a separate form? And if you have the link to any active WhatsApp group, drop it so I will join to discuss more with other NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship applicants in the 2022/23 cohort. Stephen038: |

This issue of whether the Scholarship is for January/May 2023 intake or September 2023 intake (particularly for UK universities) is the fault of the NDDC Scholarship Management who failed to clearly state the month(s) that an applicant is expected to take up the Scholarship offer. It will be unfair to either sides should the NDDC decide to give priority to only or mainly those successful candidates whose postgraduate studies will begin in a particular month in 2023. Since the Scholarship is meant for the year 2023, I think they should select all qualified candidates irrespective of the month of their programme as far as they will be commencing their studies in 2023 and not after that. I see. So, do you have any idea of how many candidates got shortlisted for the Oral Interview? Eight ( 8 ) days is quite long and it might mean that PROBABLY 500 candidates or less were interviewed. Drahl: |
Education / Re: NDDC 2023 Post Graduate Scholarship by lilliesboy(m): 3:30pm On Dec 14, 2022 |
I said, "I THINK a MAXIMUM of 300..." The population was not much compared to the number of candidates (3,000) that sat for the CBT in late November 2022. And considering the NDDC boss' statement about selecting 200 candidates, it is likely that a maximum of 300 candidates were selected for the Oral Interview. This is even believable due to the short timeframe for interviews - Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday (three days). The NDDC cannot interview more than 300 candidates at most within three days. According to the Acting NDDC boss - Engr. Audu, only two hundred (200) successful interviewees or applicants in the Oral Interview stage will be offered the 2023 NDDC Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship. This statement was made two days ago (Monday) in Port Harcourt during the visit of the boss at the Golden Tulip Hotel, GRA, to witness the oral interview process, and posted on the official website of the NDDC. At least 13,915 applicants applied for the Scholarship in October 2022 but only 3,000 out of that number were shortlisted for the computer-based test (CBT) late last month at the Rivers State University, Nkpolu, Port Harcourt. I think a MAXIMUM of 300 candidates out of the 3,000 were selected for the Oral Interview, out of which only 200 (according to the Acting NDDC boss) will be offered the Scholarship. Anyone else on this thread got shortlisted for the Oral Interview between last week Saturday and probably today (Tuesday)? For those who were shortlisted, when are they going to pay us the transportation fare refund/reimbursement after requesting us to fill out our bank account details on a separate form? It is getting long. krinkrypt: |

The 2023 NDDC Postgraduate OVERSEAS Scholarship is for studies in ONLY Foreign universities outside Nigeria (PREFERABLY outside the African continent), not local. And it is ONLY for Masters (MSc/MA) level studies, not PhD applicants. IbomGuy: |
