I said, "I THINK a MAXIMUM of 300..." The population was not much compared to the number of candidates (3,000) that sat for the CBT in late November 2022. And considering the NDDC boss' statement about selecting 200 candidates, it is likely that a maximum of 300 candidates were selected for the Oral Interview. This is even believable due to the short timeframe for interviews - Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday (three days). The NDDC cannot interview more than 300 candidates at most within three days. This issue of whether the Scholarship is for January/May 2023 intake or September 2023 intake (particularly for UK universities) is the fault of the NDDC Scholarship Management who failed to clearly state the month(s) that an applicant is expected to take up the Scholarship offer. It will be unfair to either sides should the NDDC decide to give priority to only or mainly those successful candidates whose postgraduate studies will begin in a particular month in 2023. Since the Scholarship is meant for the year 2023, I think they should select all qualified candidates irrespective of the month of their programme as far as they will be commencing their studies in 2023 and not after that. Six hundred (600) is possible, though I believe it is less than that figure. Also consider the amount for transportation reimbursement if it were to be at least 600 interviewees. By the way, when are we expected to get our reimbursement or whatever money they intend to pay into our bank accounts which we filled out in a separate form? HIGHLYGRACED: It's for everyone that wrote the CBT I believe ... regardless of success or not. It's normal for some to receive theirs sooner than others, because it's a batch-by-batch sort of job (just like with the interviews and even tests). |

I hope they pay me before the end of tomorrow or Saturday. I spent over N16,000 travelling to-and-fro Port Harcourt from my State to sit for the Test and Oral Interview. But, the most important thing is being selected amongst the 200 successful candidates. yyeskez: |
