NEW STUDENT: Guide to using the
portal (Payment of Levy and
Application for accommodation)
NOTE: CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATION FOR
ACCOMODATION AND PAYMENT OF SCHOOL
LEVY WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER
DATE.
Step 1: Visit the U.I. Portal
www.portal.ui.edu.ng and type in your JAMB
Registration Number at ‘NEW STUDENTS
SHOULD CLICK HERE TO LOGIN’ to view your
Matriculation Number, Hall of Residence and
personalized email.
Step 2: Follow the link on the same page to
“apply for hostel accommodation by clicking
here”. This will allow you to apply for
accommodation and you have the option of
selecting your desired room.
Step 3: Proceed to the portal
www.portal.ui.edu.ng, use your login
parameters i.e.
UserName: Your Matriculation Number
Password: password
Step 4: Read the terms and conditions, then
scroll down to the bottom of the page and
click on " I Agree ".
Step 5: A Fee Payment web page will be
displayed, click on "Pay your fee" (on the top
right corner of the page) to select your fee
items.
Step 6: Click on "Add Selected Items to my
Pay list" Select the fee items that you want to
pay for; e.g. Bundled (Ges/School levy).
Eligible first year and Final year student
should select Accommodation levy in
addition
Step 7: Click on "Proceed" and wait for the
PIN confirmation page.
This page will display the correct amount
of levy to pay .
Step 8: LOGOUT of this page for now and
Proceed to any of the designated bank.
Obtain your School Charges Access Code PIN
from any of the banks listed below through
SW Pin System. You will be issued access PIN
upon payment at the bank.

Step 9: Obtain your Accommodation levy
Access Code PIN from any branch of
STANBIC IBTC Bank
Step 10: LOGIN into the portal and repeat
steps 5, 6 and 7.
Select "PIN" mode of payment and click on
Post Now.
Please note that payment for
accommodation and school levy has to be
done separately on the portal.
Once your payment is successful, you will be
taken directly to your personalized school
portal page and you are MANDATED to
change your password and update your
personal details before you do anything on
the portal.
Eligible student for accommodation should
check their personalized email for approval
of accommodation request. This should be
printed and taken to the hall for immediate
allocation of room
To update your personal details:
Click on "Click to edit your personal data
form" at the top right hand corner of the
page.
Fill in your personal data and click "Update"
at the top right hand corner.
Please note that changes will not be saved
until you click "Update"
Proceed to your Finance office with a copy
of the payment confirmation page to collect
your Official School Receipt. You can check
the status of your school receipt at finance
office at www.streceipt.ui.edu.ng
Proceed to your department to obtain your
Courses and login on UI Portal with your
NEW Password. Click on "My Courses" to view
all your Courses. Add new Courses by typing
the Course Code e.g GES102 in "Add more
Courses". Click on check box to add Elective
Courses to your Course listing. After
completing your courses on the Course
listings, click on "SAVE" and then "SUBMIT".
Click on "Finish".
ALL STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF
THE PRINTOUT OF ONLINE REGISTRATION
WITH THEIR COURSE FORMS TO THEIR FACULTY

For those who left some foodstuffs behind
in school and those who are home to bring
back some more, that may not be the
smartest thing UI management expects
from you.
Cooking in halls of residence is one of the
various issues for which management
expressed grave concern for and has thus
announced expulsion as its effort to protect
that concern.
NO COOKING STOVE! NO ELECTRIC COOKER!
NO GAS COOKER! In fact, NO COOKER!
Although the possibility of students living
totally on cafeteria is most impossible than
management ability to detect and prosecute
defaulters, managements preparedness to
attempt the latter is not at all on
participants of Tuesday’s meeting. That
student leaders present then were not able
to create a compromise for students is
disheartening.
More so, management announces intension
of fencing off all halls of residence. Given
that a similar exercise was carried out
earlier this year, many have agreed that the
new proposed exercise will now involve
brick/block fences and not the iron nets
used earlier.
The nature of the 2012/2013 academic
session is becoming hazy. What will
students do?

Me dey shout say UI will release d necessary infox few dayx to resumption..una no believe.
UI no be secondary school wey qo qive u resumption date 4yrs b4 tym..lolx*remba dat*...a typical example is d clearance exercise...UI released d info and date on der site on Friday...they asked us to come for clearance on monday...say u neva learn from dat ni....anoda example na Last Yr..i can remba..i checkd last yr thread + asked a friend...accomodation was released Dec8...resumption date and calendar was oUT...dat same day....and they asked dem to resume Dec12...*if not for ASUU strike dat spoilt show*...zezeny and pple dat defered admission last yr can testify to dis...or if u av anybody dat got admission into UI 2011/2012 set..ask dem..
So for me, I believe UI qonna do tinx nextweek by God's grace..i believe its UI's culture

Accomodation wil b out few dayx to resumption..if u ask pple dat got admission lastyr, der accomodation was released 4dayx to resptn..*u can search and folo last session's thread to see dat*

ma small advice - start preparation for jan7...oda newx must show b4 dat day.
