i can now use my memory card. The trick is to delete all .mkv & .avi movies or rename them to Mp4. The android system media server somehow has problem with files in those extensions

Even with last Friday's update, these are Android system figures I'm getting it's even up now from 50% last time.
I wanted to wipe cache from Mi Recovery but only Wipe All Data option available.

i had same issue till yesterday when i just decided to remove my memory card. Heard it's because of the many files scattered around many folders in the mcard and xiaomi did not optimize memory card scanning or so. Well, i will arrange my files in few folders today and insert the mcard back to see if there's any changes.

Hello bro... Merry Christmas! Please ohh! I just noticed something... My phone plays sounds through the mouth speaker and loud speakers.. Thus making it very low compared to how it was before I guess that's what reduced the sound of my phone... Please any solutions to make it to stop playing from where i use to make calls?

if it is mi max 2, it's normal cos it has 2 speakers - 1 beside the earpiece and the other at the bottom right

i think the draining has stopped - still monitoring it though. I got the phone cos of miui and the monstrous battery so custom rom is out of the equation

yes.. Been using it since 2012 without any hitch and it was working flawlessly on my previous devices.

someone on miui forum also complained of media server continuously scanning media on memory card as the culprit. And I've seen that media server shi when I analyzed battery usage in power settings.

I said factory reset, might do it more than once. The case of the Mi Max I was talking about, system apps kept increasing by the day until it was taking almost 80% of battery juice, don't be tired now.

so i should keep reseting the phone till receives sense, right? meanwhile, the android system is now back to 40+% after I removed my memory card
