well, most advice I have been seeing are what is expected. Since the guy already came clean, it's more appropriate to move far away from him as far as possible because you wouldn't want a lady to do same to your man.

Now on the otherhand, I won't advice total cut off. I know the pain Op is foreseeing in the process of this total cut off. So I will advice that you tell him straight that you can't date number or be his girl or anything intimate. But that your friendship remains untouched. I value friendship than dating so I understand Op's position in trying to save their friendship. Dats exactly my point! My friendship with him is more important to me dan dating him. We have the same goals and I believe being friends with will help me actualize dis goals in terms of sharing ideas. I think he's about to put you in the friends with benefit zone , the thing is most guys can do sex without love but ladies usually have feelings when they sleep with a guy. He knows what you want and how to make you feel love towards him , if you think he doesn't know how you feel about him then you're as naive as they come. Eventually if he sleeps with you then you'll just be a statistic to him.
Your best bet now is to get a proper relation with another guy , you could start as friends and build it as it progresses , limit your involvement with your friend as anything other than the friendship you share will lead nowhere ( only heartaches for you ). In time your dependency on him will fizzle out.
