They just need an Elrufia as a running mate and atiku will be defeated again None of these guys can manage Elrufai ego and arrogance. They will fall out in no time. He is a brilliant guy,no doubt ,but needs someone of bigger personality! |

mystery22: Tinubu can not March atiku in the north, and SE are likely not to vote Tinubu cos of his greedy betrayal while some part of ss will follow se, other parts will vote base on atiku running mate..
So I don't see how Tinubu can defeat atiku, anyway his frog eyes will open after primaries... The reason we are talking about the north deciding the Presidency is because of lack of political co-operation between the Eastern and Western Nigeria. This is because of history of mistrust between the two large groups. With all the name callings of Fulani/Hausa by these two groups,If presented with opportunity of having both Hausa and Igbo on the ballot the Yoruba will vote Hausa.Likewise if confronted with similar scenario of Hausa and Yoruba on the ballot box,Igbos will never vote Yoruba. So,it’s a win win for the North.Igbos will vote Hausa, not for love but to spite Yoruba! The Igbos are quick to call Yoruba, slaves of the North, you then wonder who the slaves are! The main aim of politicians is to win elections. They will only present who they think can win for them.Nigeria stands on a tripod and elections can be won where any of the two legs stand. How can you possibly reap from where you did not sow!The Igbos want the APC to give them the presidential ticket when they are not really APC region! They are accusing Tinubu and other south westerners of betrayal for not stepping down for them. These are people that have laboured for the party for years.I wonder why it’s difficult for them to negotiate in PDP that they have been voting since 1999. I expect a lot of backlash as usual from this piece. I’m not a fan of Tinubu but he is going to be the flag bearer of APC.He is the only one that can match Atiku.Any other person will be landslide victory for Atiku.PDP is hoping and praying that APC makes that mistake. |

Dpharisee: 290% is the rate of increase you get when the FG creates a near monopoly for a business man and running off competitors from the market.
During elections, Dangote supports the 2 major parties handsomely and it has worked for him as whoever wins does his bidding FG creates a near monopoly is a very lazy and myopic argument. If you run your enterprise efficiently enough with good business discipline and if your competitors are reckless to run themselves out of business, you will get blamed for that of their stupidity ! Government awarded licenses to establish refineries to 9 companies in different locations and for 13 years nothing got done and I’m sure when Dangote starts those lazy ones will be crying of monopoly. |

BashMe1: " Lagos is where I live with my family. Lagos is where I earn a living. Lagos is where I am raising my children. Lagos is my home. I have nowhere else to go but Lagos. This is why I must begin to wonder why some are contemplating voting in a failed party with a woeful record on good governance to reverse all the gains made by successive APC administrations (including previous reincarnations of the party) in the past 16 years - gains recorded despite intentional isolation policies of the Federal Government. I for one cannot experiment with my future, the future of my family or that of the State by putting it in the hands of a sinking ship which is now more preoccupied with financing its political survival than assuring good governance. I do not want the State to return to the era of insecurity, filthy neighbourhoods, poorly maintained roads and executive impunity. Rather, I am excited by the possibility of being aligned with the Federal Government to propel us to the next level of development. If I did not deem the PDP fit to govern me at the centre, then why should I bring their ineptitude closer to home? I urge Lagos residents to vote for the man backed by a team of seasoned and tested achievers. Vote APC. Vote Akinwunmi Ambode for Governor of Lagos State."

Nigerians voted for Chief MKO Abiola en-masse and he won the election; the government of General Babangida aided by unscrupulous elements like Daniel Kanu, Nzeribe, Chukwumerije, Ibekwe Ofonagoro etc denied Nigerians their thirst for change!

2n2k: The Apc members of the house should let go because
1. They were suspended by the minority and they naively took the case to court instead of fighting it out like that mace man in rivers state. Until court decides, they remain suspended and shouldn't be sitting as members.
2. What mace are they using to sit?
3. Even if they illegally impeach fayose and his deputy outside the chamber, court will overturn it.
4. Let us even assume they are able to lay their hands on the mace and impeach the governor and his deputy, the term of the speaker ends early June. A new speaker likely to be a member of pdp will take over and election for a new governor will take place under a pdp speaker/acting governor. How has Apc benefited? My friend, there is a pending case in court about his eligibility which is a straightforward case. The constitution says you cannot contest any election within 10 years after being indicted by administrative panel.Fayose was indicted and impeached. Fayose best bet is to resign now and contest in 2019 when he will be eligible to contest again.oh what am I talking about, that means he would have been swore in twice.Wa oh this is another constitutional wataloo. Now trying to find a way out for this hass hole.Yes got one,he can do that as a proxy by supporting one of his children. |

OBA must be use as a scape-goat other monarchs will learn to think before they speak. Habi na by force to stay in another person land? The man was truly saying the general views of his subjects. These are the frustrations of most Yoruba people but cannot be expressed publicly because of political correctness. You cannot cone over here and alter our political configuration. It is high time we call a spade a spade. We are too hospitable to a fault. These goats will never allow this in Aba or Onitsha. You better pray that PDP wins.If APC wins without your vote, you are definitely in for a fight.Because that means you are a political liability and we can make do without you.Go and try this in Kano and face the consequence. |

PDP is going to sweep all the state house of assembly just as in march 28th election The current assembly is still very much people's representatives until the 6th of June. Also there is an eligibility case that's still pending in the court. And this is a straight forward case. The race is who will impeach or annul him first. He can't escap all the booby traps |
