UK electronic visa waiver For Saudi Arabia and Bahrain Nationals

Nationals of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia can apply to travel to the United Kingdom for 6 months with an electronic visa waiver.

An electronic visa waiver is a permit that allows eligible nationals to gain entry into the UK without a visa. All they need to do is to complete an online visa application form.

This development is a strategic move from the UK government to help deepen the relationship between the United Kingdom and the two countries.

Officially, the two countries had joined other GCC states having the waiver status. The move will help maintain security and effective border processes ensuring necessary security checks are carried out ahead of travel.

Golden Visa holders in the UAE can sponsor parents for a 10-year residency.

As part of the changes on entry and residence that came into place on the 3rd of October 2022, Golden visa holders can now sponsor their parents for 10 years of residency in the United Arab Emirates. According to the government, this is an improvement from the one-year residency that was usually granted to the parents of expatriates. Now, they are eligible for a 10-year golden visa and residency.

In UAE, an expatriate can sponsor their parents for a year if they pay according to the requirement of “a deposit as a guarantee for each parent as stipulated by the respective immigration department.” This requirement does not apply to Golden Visa Holders. For Golden visa holders who wish to sponsor their parents, all that is required is that they submit a document issued by their respective consulates stating that they are the sole caretakers of their parents Read More at.....https://www.doityourselfimmigration.org/post/golden-visa-holders-in-the-uae-can-sponsor-parents-for-a-10-year-residency

5 COMMON SCAMS SCHEME IN DUBAI.

Dubai as we all know is home to some of the most beautiful artifacts, sights, and cultures in the world.

The first image that comes to mind when Dubai is mentioned is luxury. This has made it one of the reasons people come over to the country

Compiled in this article are different ways ex-pats and tourists get scammed in the country.

1.. THE BEGGING SCHEME

First of all, begging in the United Arab Emirates is illegal. According to the law, people caught in this unlawful act will be fined AED 5,000 fine and will also spend three months in jail.

But still, people indulge in this criminal act.

The technique used is that a woman, who is the fraudster will go house to house begging for money for her child or in an emergency.

Don't fall for the scheme. Politely refuse or offers to contact the police for support if she truly needs help or not.

2. Fake phone call about winning a prize

This is a common technique in Dubai to defraud people. One of the criminals will call the victim with the intention of telling the person that he has won a lottery.

Then, they will proceed to ask their victim to share their passport and personal details. Do not be blinded by Greed.

No license lottery in Dubai will notify its winner this way

3. Selling of fake luxury products

Multiple-Entry Visa (Circulation Visa) in France

Multiple-Entry Visas are a form of short-stay visas that allows certain travellers the privilege of entering France a number of times consecutively. It is a type C visa that has a sticker of 'Circulation visa' on it. This visa allows a holder to travel to France several times within 180 days without exceeding a total of 90 days' stay.

This means that, unlike an ordinary short-stay visa where you have to travel to France once and stay for not more than 3 months, the multiple entry visa allows you to enter France multiple times as long as the cumulative number of stays does not exceed 3 months within six months duration.

Within six months, you can decide to be travelling to France for 15 days in a month for the next 6 months or come for a month-long visit every other month. As long as within 180 days, you don't stay in France for more than 90 days in total. Read more....

5 Most Beautiful Cities In Africa that African Business Leaders Could Consider for Events.

African political leaders do more intra-Africa travels than African business leaders. African Union (AU) leaders regularly meet at Addis Ababa and in other African countries. For instance, the AU leaders just concluded Extraordinary Summits in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea. On the other hand, African business leaders usually look outside the shores of Africa for collaborations and partnerships.

While, our business men are busy looking for investors from the Global North to invest in Africa; Chinese investors have invaded and colonized the investment ecosystem across Africa. While Global North investors usually demand the presence of an enabling environment before considering investment in Africa; Chinese investors are going into our villages and self-creating enabling environment, by constructing access roads and building factories.

The low level of intra-Africa migration, circulation and flows among African business leaders gave room for Chinese investors to discover opportunities, which African business leaders could have discovered if they had prioritized optimising intra-Africa business opportunities. I keep wondering why Chinese investors are mostly dealing with African political leaders, not with business leaders? Why are African business leaders running after Western investors and holding business meetings outside Africa? If you have answers to these questions please share in the comment box.

A business conference or summit held by African business men on African soil would open their eyes to local business opportunities for the mutual benefits of both hosting and visiting countries. Below are 5 most beautiful cities In Africa that Africa business leaders could consider for networking events and others.

1. Johannesburg, South Africa
This is the biggest city in South Africa with a population of about 5.7 million people. Johannesburg, is the main financial and industrial hub of South Africa and often referred to as the financial capital of Africa as a whole. It's a well planned city, having features similar to leading Western cities.

It has the state of the art infrastructure for international events, such as film festivals, conventions, summits, conferences and international shows. It's a place where investors meet to strike deals.

2. Cape Town, South Africa
It is the second prominent city in South Africa after Johannesburg, having the second largest population of about 4.8 million people. It is the most visited city in South Africa by international tourists.

A Singaporean Citizen Imprisoned For Harboring Immigration Offender.

A Singaporean citizen, Chan Kok Keong, aged 47 was sentenced to eight months in prison for harbouring a Chinese lady, Gong Xiuxang. This was on November 2, 2021, when the ICA officers came for an inspection in the apartment building where the lady was staying.

The lady was said to have tried escaping the notice of the ICA officials by climbing out of her window. Unfortunately, she fell down the window's ledge while evading arrest and was pronounced dead on site.

The lady was said to be an immigration offender having stayed in Singapore after her pass has expired. The pass has expired since 2014 but the apartment owner said he thought she was a valid dependent pass holder.

The man was nonetheless jailed for his negligence in ascertaining the real status of the lady before renting out his apartment to her. Citizens are supposed to conduct a thorough enquiry before renting out their apartments.

Immigration offenders are immigrants that are staying in a country illegally. These immigrants either came into the country through illegal means or they have overstayed in the country after their pass has expired without renewal.

It is a criminal offence for a citizen or permanent resident to accommodate or harbour such illegal immigrants knowingly or unknowingly. If such happens, the person would be punished based on the level of negligence in checking the validity of the immigrant's pass.

Anybody that wants to rent out their apartment should sign a tenancy agreement form only after they have thoroughly checked the validity of the immigrant's pass or visa. There are 3 main steps in confirming the validity of an immigrant's visa or pass. These are:

1. Check the immigrant's original work or immigration pass very carefully.
2. Check their original passport and cross-check the details with that one on their pass.
3. To confirm that the documents presented are indeed valid and not fake papers, check the validity of the pass. For work-related passes, check the validity of the pass with MOM and for other immigration passes, check the validity with ICA.

Africa Day 2022: 5 Strategies for Enhancing Food Security with Intra-Africa Migration
Today, May 25th, is set aside every year to commemorate the establishment of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) now African Union (AU). The OAU charter was signed by 30 out of 32 independent African countries in 1963 at Addis Ababa, in Ethiopia. This year's theme is: “Strengthening Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent”. We would discuss 5 strategies on how intensive intra-Africa migration could help enhance food security on the continent.
The transition from OAU to AU, in July 2002 was intended to shift the focus of the organisation from political objectives to economic ones. However, in almost 20 years of the AU the volume of intra-Africa trades and investment hasn't significantly improved. Most initiatives are top-down in nature, coming from the AU with little or no national Governments' commitment to implement agreements. Even at the national level, the Government plays a major role in the formulation and implementation of food security policies. The Western world has been very supportive in promoting food security in Africa, of note is the impressive contributions of the IITA - International Institute of Tropical Agriculture....Read more

Travel / Travel; 5 Common Travel Scams Tourists Can Avoid In Germany. by Lisa12345: 5:03pm On May 29, 2022
Criminals are everywhere and scamming isn't new, especially among tourists who left their country to visit another country for sightseeing and to admire the beauty of the serene environment. Although Germany is one of the safest countries in Europe, still it has its fair share of sneaky criminals who disguise themselves as innocent people but all they are interested in is getting their hands into the pocket of the "naive tourist".

Every criminal in each country has a different scheme used to defraud tourists but in Germany, these are the common local fraud schemes they use

BEGGARS

I remember a story of a relative who narrated his experience in the hands of a beggar who wanted to use "spiritual vision" to defraud him after returning to Nigeria. The reason why the beggar was unable to scam him of his money at that point was that the "suppose vision" did not correlate with what was going on in his life at that moment. This is one method beggars used to defraud travelers and it's no different in Germany

But the only difference is that instead of using "spiritual vision", in Germany, these fake beggars tell you sad stories about themselves to get more money from you and also distract you while their children or partner in crime steal from your bags. Be extremely vigilant and do not carry all your money with you always.

Pocket Pickers

Pickpocketing is no new crime, virtually all countries battle with this crime. While in public transport or any tourist center, ensure to always guide your items.

In restaurants, do not leave your bags or purses unattended or carelessly. Read more....

Travel / Travel; Ten Richest African Countries Recommended For Intra-africa Migration. by Lisa12345: 4:13pm On May 29, 2022
Out of the seven continents in the world namely:

1.Asia,

2. Africa

3. Europe

4. North America

5. South America,

6. Australia/Oceania

7. Antarctica

The African Continent, though it is the second most populous after Asia, it is sadly the least developed among them. One of the factors that has retarded Africa's development is that Africans see Africa from the analytical lenses of Westerners, who have gained better understanding of the Continent, via extensive travels and intensive explorations of Africa. We don't know our Continent as much as Westerners and Asians know it, this is because of the low volume of intra-Africa trade and migration. As Chinua Achebe once said: "Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter." As more Africans migrate within Africa for studies, tourism and business purposes, we would be able to tell our stories to the world and be able to blend imported solutions with homegrown solutions to liberate Africa from the shackles of underdevelopment.

At the turn of the Century in 2020, worried by massive poverty and deprivation in the Global South, the UN launched Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 2000 - 2015. Asian Continent is one the success stories of the MDGs, but Africa remained the same. In 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) replaced MDGs, for the next fifteen years (2015 - 2030). With barely eight years to the expiration of the SDGs, intra-Africa migration is one of the best strategies of fast-tracking Africa's developmen. Read more....

Increase In The Minimum Salary Requirements For EP Applicants In Singapore.

The Singaporean government has announced a change in the requirement necessary for applicants under the Employment Pass category. This category is for foreign executives, managers and professionals in high positions in their career.

This development was made to keep in trend with the current economic position and wage scale. Employers are to keep up with these requirements for their prospective employees.

The minimum salary range is in place to ensure the quality of Employment Pass candidates and to make sure they would be of relevance to the workforce. The new salary is measured against that of the top one-third of the local PEMT workforce.

The salary requirement was formerly an amount of not less than $4,500 every month for younger applicants with an increase for candidates in their mid-40s to about $8,400. The new salary requirement however is an amount of $5,000 increasable to $10,500 for mid 40s candidates....Read more
