The following is for those that keep responding to advice from Nigerians abroad with, 'why don't you return to Nigeria yourself?' Well, many soon will return to Nigeria, because a wave of racism and Nationalism is sweeping through Europe that may lead to attacks on all dark skinned foreigners or just as bad, slow drawn, increases in casual and seemingly unrelated killings. You people arrogantly telling Nigerians to "come home now" will not be able to cope abroad or navigate as well as those Nigerians that have been abroad for a long time and, in some cases, belonged to the generation of blacks that fought against terrific racism and made Abroad the safer place you Jappanese are dying to travel to and for which you rain insult when advised by those same Nigerians that perhaps you're better off staying in Nigeria. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

gaby: Why so angry? I'm sure most people congratulate and support your personal choice and plans to leave Nigeria for foreign lands, is it fare that you and so many others respond angrily to news of those that have made personal plans and choice to return to their nation of origin Nigeria? 1 Like |

Don't mean to seem brainwashed but if someone must do this sort of thing, and you have no economic standards, at least go to Ethiopia or South Sudan were better genes deh. Never mind me oh. |

I've just seen on Instagram an article and video from linda Ikeja of a community in Sokoto rising up in mass and invading the forest to go tackle terrorists and bandits plagueing thire community. Such an awesome sight, it makes you as a Nigerian so proud although same time disappointed that the authorities are so bereft people had to rise up and deal with the situation themselves. All of us need to prey for those people in hope that even one hair on their head is not harmed and that the bandits, kidnappers flee from the area and never return! My heart is cutting though . 2 Likes 1 Share |

I will always defend Nigerians if the assumption is that Nigerians are automatically criminals. I've fought racism all my life, none of those subtle ideas derived from fascist and racist views will ever deceive me. I need hard evidence always. Thank you. |

I'm not supporting criminality; the following thought is merely my writers objective academic mind: was thinking that they will go far and be more successful if they kept membership of thire fraternity-gang to only Nigerians, just as the Italian mafia was at core prejudicially Italians only. Africans from other nations can be very, very treacherous and back stabbing. But of course I condemn criminality of this type and any type and view them reprehensible. My thoughts are in terms of Novel ideas and plots only. |

Lagos Women Are Runs Girls, Ashawo Kobo Kobo.Israel Adesanya Nigeria is collateral damageBurna Boy Nigeria is fantastically corrupt and Nigeria youth are lazyBubari The above are all subset of that weird "Punish Nigeria" mindset that many have adopted towards Nigeria. As if Nigeria is one thing but they are another. Everyone is a critic of all things Nigeria and Nigerians for dubious kudos and smack on the back from foreigners or to fool yourself that you are politically attitude and a champion of wanting better! It is all excruciatingly pathetic and needy to stop. Nigerians need to grow some balls and some sense. Stop putting yourselves down for likes and pretence you are the fantastic one, the know it all, the honest ones but Nigerians over there are the deviant ones not you. |

"The leaders of these bandits terrorising the Northwest region are well known, their places of origin are known, their parents and these who supply them with means of logistic are all known.” Where are the masses of brave Northern defiant youths that were waving Russian flags, during the protest, burning politicians home, marching on Abuja, frightening the entire Nigeria state to the hailing and cheering of the international social media spectatorship ? 1 Like |

The lighter complexioned dead officer has a clinched fist. Looks like he didn't die as quickly as the darker officer. Didn't resign to this final of fates, couldn't. Dying may have been very difficult and very frightening for him. He was probably astonished as he lay dying, not believing not wanting to leave his entire life ecosystem behind. That moment was where his entire journey of struggle in this life for belonging to society as a self respecting wage earner ended. Fundamentally sad. RIP. |

The sooner the average Nigerian rids him or herself this bizarre attitude of wanting to " Punish the country" the better the lives of the masses will be. Examples of this attitude can be found in the incredibly stupid and openly embarrassing burning of Nigeria passport and abusing Nigeria while standing on another man's land abroad. South Africans poking finger in you Nigerians eyes is an example of a repercussion. Stop boasting of Jappa; stop feeling vindicated and boasting proudly that Nigeria companies are now relocating to other African nations; don't hail people like Burna boy calling Nigeria collateral Damage. He is insulting you Nigeria masses. All these foolish notion of Punishing Nigeria injures you the people. Nigeria is not the government but you the people: husbands, wives, children, friends, local shops, streets, markets, uncles and aunties. The attitude also leads to incoherent thinking and sentiments (well, as far as sentimental thinking can be coherent) such as seeing only the best in others while seeing only the worst of yourself. This is why a Nigerian would hail Paule Kagame of Rwanda for shutting down thousands of churches, for however laudable a reason, but would rail against similar in Nigeria and ascribe all sorts negative connotations to it. 3 Likes 1 Share |

techbro1: I guess it will never end; for example, even I who is not a police officer, when I read something like you've just written, when I watch video of Nigeria police greeting civilians, and I've seen some online, I get annoyed and think, why is that police officer fawning, and trying hard to be nice, he should bring the butt of his rifle down on that man's tough head. I guess I'm saying that comments like yours will only lead to ever spiraling downward mutual hatred. And some day, Nigerians will wake up and find that Nigeria police have become as brutal and contemptuous of civilians as America police. |

Simplify the process by no longer recognising university degrees unless they are from Nigeria or Europe, America, Canada, China and Japan. Let the excluded Nations retaliate if they wish, it will even help Nigeria limit the damage Nigerians cause to themselves by Japparing up and down. Let's put Nigeria first without sentiment. Nations out there don't care for our feelings and in fact they even seem to take delight if they can humiliate us. See China ceasing Nigeria aircraft Abroad; see India endlessly parading Nigerians as drug pushers; see South Africa actively and purposefully singling Nigeria for humiliation; see small nations like Benin Republic posturing in the international space about how they deport Nigerians; Ghana tying Nigeria citizens to treed and showing the video on YouTube; see Haiti announcing for the world to see how Nigerians want to adopt thire identity. Let's begin to put Nigeria first regardless of whose feelings we may hurt. 1 Like |

I'm sad Nigerians have been drawn by South Africans into the chief weakness and dysfunction of black people, which is rabidly and fanatically trying to drag down someone black or something created by black people as Buju Banton wants to do against Afrobeat. My love for Nigeria and Nigerians is due to the fact (for me) that Nigerians seemed different. |

If Northern Youths can mobilise as they did for the just concluded #end bad governance protest, what is stopping them from mobilising to End Banditry ? I'll remind Nigerians that "The People" are not property of government or mere constituents but the fourth arm of government in addition to the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. |

People, especially instigators and the politicizers of the poor, dislike the observation that the Poor never make war, they fight them on behest of the middle and upper classes. Communists also detest the notion. I'm certain Simone Ekpa has delicate hands. I imagine that it is smooth, soft and warm in a handshake and his fingers are slender and tapering. If he ever bleeds, his parents and relatives will cry in such a fundamental way, you'd fear the heavens may cloud over and rain. The wider community would be so outraged, the stumping of their feet in anger would shake the ground and reverberate throughout the width and breath of the land. These poor men that were killed by the authorities (if it happened) only have thire strong limbs. If the back of a tipper should rise near the mouth of a large mass grave, thire bodies would topple over and land in the grave, noisily, like wet stockfish. |

Absuchat: Destroying forests exacerbates soil erosion. Forests play a crucial role in maintaining soil stability. The roots of trees and other vegetation bind the soil together, preventing it from being easily washed away by rain or blown away by wind. Do they mean that these properties were bought by gains made from kidnappings? Otherwise, one may be forgiven for asking, if the homes are kidnapping dens, why aren't they being raided instead ? |
