Politics / Re: Pictures Of Protester Dragging Nigerian Flag On The Ground by Litmus: 7:43pm On Aug 13 |
Nigerians are very spoiled. The worst are the Ignorant and Strong types, like the guy in the photo and his moral cheer leaders. Tell them for instance that in a world without current lingering cold war sentiments that still pits NATO pact members against Russia that Russians would support genocide against blacks, and they'd probably holler , "I don't care, Belsen is better than life in Nigeria!" You just can't slap the cold reality of life into the skull of a petulant brat!

Crime / Re: How Anambra Journalist Survived Armed Men Attack, by Litmus: 11:24am On Aug 13 |
All these attacks in Nigeria: the kidnappings, the killing of farmers, the adducting of schoolchildren, the murdering of employers by house helps etc which I strongly believe are the consequences of our open borders, informs me that Africa has no long term future. This is because these terrible actions, that experts blame on poverty, informs me that Africans may be generally criminal minded and deviant of spirit. If you look with open mind at the continent of Africa, try and honestly work out how millions will be lifted out of poverty given the prevailing continental and international realities, the prognosis dose not seem promising. In order words, the chances of lifting million out of poverty throughout Africa looks slim. And if Africans react to poverty by being murderous, rapacious unethical, deviant, envious and bitter of mind, what hope is there for Africa? I experienced in childhood, along with thousands of others, real poverty in Nigeria. I mean extreme, excruciating poverty. Actual starvation, not fashionable political poverty, but real Poverty! But we were never bitter, envious, or angry about our situation. It is not true that a hungry man is an angry man. We blamed no one and in fact we were very kind and helpful, limited only by our circumstances. No time did we want to rob, kill, burn, ravage anyone or destroy the lives of those more fortunate than we were. |

Fashion / Re: Miss SA Controversy: South Africans Spread Fake News About Nigerians by Litmus: 7:40am On Aug 13 |
All over social media there's this new drive portraying Igbos as being the victim of terrible Tribalism by other Nigerians. Old footage of Nigeria civil wars are being pushed as part of this, with narrative skewed terribly in one direction. People posting comment on how they hate Nigeria, calling Nigerian and Nigerians all sorts of terrible names. I won't be surprised if South Africans are heavenly involved in pushing this trend. The End goal being about deciding Nigeria and destrythe country. |

Okay, a monument - stroke - institution type building, good one. Before I entered this thread, I was anticipatingly dreading a bungalow type building of the type Nigeria likes to erect for police as thire station. I look forward to when Nigeria will evolve from representing institutions of the state in ordinary houses type buildings instead of institutional -stroke - monumental type ones. See Delta State police command, second photo looking like colonial outpost erected by the British for the natives of the lower Congo river.

Senioreddy: Very odd. They revealed that they were willing and ready to face the entire Nigeria state, face military bullets, defy the constitution by flying Russian flags, troop out in as many numbers as required to topple thire governor, burn politician homes but they refuse to rise up en mass (in emergency civic duty) to tackle the bandits. It is not as if they don't know where the bandits are residing. 1 Like |
Fashion / Re: Mia le Roux: South Africa Crowns First Deaf Woman as Miss South Africa by Litmus: 10:10pm On Aug 11 |
Nigerians still fighting the black fight not knowing the rest of the black world are very much into whites and worship whites willfully. African Americans, Africans from Ghana all the way to east Africa, to South Africa, they all into whites, love them want them. They act as if they have bitter issues with whites but in reality they are just unhappy white people aren't showing them love. But Nigerians still carry the racism matter African Americans preach about but that African Americans don't actually mean. Why do you think African Americans don't embrace Nigeria same as they do East and South Africa areas. The reason is because whites, Asians and Africans with "European Features" are to be found more in those places than West Africa. South Africans don't give shit about you accusing them of worshiping whites. They do and are proud of it. Whites have the economic power world wide, they value this over all black power stuff that they preach but don't mean. We Nigerians need to turn our backs on these people. We have what we need to be a great power within Nigeria. |

Nigerians still don't understand the unappetising sneaky Nature of these other Africans. You're falling into South Africa's trap. The entire setup by South Africa was for publicity. Now Nigerians seem Anti White while South Africans can now entice back Elon Musk with thire pro white act. |

Politics / Re: FG Should Tell Us Who Is Stealing Our Oil With Vessels - Tony Elumelu by Litmus: 2:06am On Aug 11 |
Common sense is too cheap I guess but doesn't common sense suggest that if a few Nigerians at the top have for decades been, and still are, scheming oil money off the quantity Nigeria produces officially and unofficially, they would be currently the wealthiest people on the planet, wealthier even than Elon Musk ? This then leads to common sense thoughts such as, wealthy individuals of this magnitude would find it difficult to exist anonymously. However, Since Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Zuckerberg, some Indians and Saudis are known as the wealthiest people on Earth and no Nigerian known as Alahaji NNPCni among, where is Nigeria's corrupt oil money wealth hiding ? Could it be the money is being used to fund foreign African governments? If so, it could mean that when or if Nigeria manages to clean up the oil sector, ensuring that Nigeria benefits fully from her oil wealth, the new West Africa block nations being formed will wage war on Nigeria. Never mind me, I have a habit of forcing things but not knowing how to arrive at why or how the thing gets from here to there. |

Nigeria needs to do something about Social Media. Much of the crazy, entitled, and over angry behaviour manifesting in Nigeria by individuals like the driver is driven (pun intended) by an online audience , especially diasporan, negatively rabid about Nigeria! A good percentage of these diasporans would smilingly accept, Abroad, things they would shout and cuss Nigeria and Nigerians about. 1 Like |

Sports / Re: Team Nigeria Leaves Paris2024 Olympics Without A Medal by Litmus: 3:56pm On Aug 10 |
Nigeria made progress in one area of olympics that was unfortunately overshadowed by the negatives. Nigeria expanded her sports portfolio to include track cycling and river sports. We need to continue. We need to increase the number of sports that we take part in the Olympics and which additionally offers grater opportunities for young people in Nigeria due to verity of choices. You never know were your talent lies. Not everyone is gifted in track and filed sports. An Archery Guru may reside within, unbeknownst to you. We also need to improve the standard of local athletes so that, come Trials for selection to participate in world sorts completion, they are able to be at least as competitive as foreign based athletes. |

If those manipulating Nigerians from abroad to solely concentrate bugeyed on Nigeria officials at the Olympics weren't so good at it, Nigerians would not be so blinded to the odd occurrence happening to Nigeria athletes at this Olympics. Much is off about this Olympics and require the Nigeria state dedicating some time to organising an official enquiries into every aspect of want happened or is going on. |

They hope that, Nigeria failing woefully at the Olympics will exacerbate the disenchantment with life that is partly responsible for driving the anti-establishment feeling causing revolutionary murmurs and political protests. |

olaboy33: France probably, they dislike Nigeria's great fighting and independent spirits for highlighting backwardness of thire West Africa dependants. In whichever ways Nigerians love to condemn themselves and cuss themselves for everything Nigeria, the world outside Nigeria are not decivied nor blinded to the excellent and exceptional qualities of Nigerians. Ultimately, believe or not, Nigeria's excellence and relative advancement in being innovative, forward thinking and capable, was the catalyst for the movement that finally pushed Mali, Burkina and Niger to rebel from French control. |

ddippset: I'm sure this type of continuous cussing, and nagging, and insulting of Nigeria fills Nigeria athletes over in Paris with great confidence. I'm sure It helps imbue them with the little confidence they need to do just a little beter than they otherwise might have given whatever unfortunate circumstances you believe they endured before going to Paris. I'm sure you belly aching is not an additional burden on whatever they are bearing as Nigerians. 1 Like |

sIfioksq: Something deeper than this is taking place. Politicised jealousy, lowest form of rebellious thinking that I thought Nigerians were beyond. No nation with jealous citizens ever progresses or contributes to humanity. They never look beyond what others have, never look forward only behind. When the poor masses make the wealthy of thire society the fault of thire suffering, the nation dies. Those online working to place this ugly dieses in the Herts of Nigerians know what they are doing. Lack of jealousy is what made Nigerians greater than other Africans. You instil jealousy in the hearts of people, you arrive at a blame culture where people never take responsibility for thire own actions or failures. They no longer become strivers. The wealthy can live elsewhere. Dangote could live happily in the Bahamas. 2 Likes |

Nigerian may go some way towards frustrating the cartels by turning to Electric vehicles. China is being weighted down by surplus EVs.And before you frustrate yourself, when you sneer about Nigeria's Electricity infrastructure, go out there and make the effort, if you can afford EVs , you'll make it work. Try. The world turns, your time may be here. |
