redcliff: Omo the way cars go dey explode for road eh. God abeg no let us be collateral damage
In today's world, you will not long stop progress by scaring people with false stories. Increasingly, tech is enabling information to reach the remotest places. People will learn and they will convert to CNG, Electric cars , scooters or whatever is available that they can afford that will improve thire circumstances.
You cannot hold the people ransom to Ignorance enabling those that benefit from cabals to exploit them forever.
Ps
Some don't want peaceful change that will benefit the majority, they want violent change that will benefit the few.
Business on which our West Africa neighbours depend. When these days end, these places in Nigeria will be in ruin environmentally while neighbouring nations survive on thire monetised pristine environment.
Blazetrailer: If Nigeria is not rescued in some years, jt may become a failed state like Haiti.
Actually it is the Rescuing bit that turned Haiti into what it is today and may do the same to Nigeria.
Every Caribbean island that are better than Haiti today had leaders that were as corrupt as Haitian leaders. The difference was that thire citizens were not as jumpy, shouty, forever crying corruption and we are hungry as Haitians were. Haitians were continually calling for change, rioting, factionalising, restive and intolerant of leadership. The peoples of other Caribbean islands relatively went about thire lives, not overly questioning or challenging leadership. Jamaica's radicalism were largely international in outlook and limited to songs, poetry and literature.
Haiti, the first nation of black origen to overthrow Western overlordship and gain independence is like the Rabbit and the other Caribbean Nations now like the tortoise that won the race.
An Abuja crossdresser was recently att@cked and str!pped off after being confronted by a group of people.
The unidentified crossdresser was first confronted over his dressing before he was str!pped off in public. He was later let go with a warning not to dress in such a way again.
The attack comes two months after a popular Crossdresser, Abuja Area Mama, was murdered. His lifeless body was found lying along the Katampe Mabuchi expressway in the FCT.
This type of ugly, unkind, bullying behaviour is unusual. It is unNigerian. But wholesale changes in the characteristics of a people may be a feature of open borders.
I've never understood Iran's bluster especially in relation to America, the Shah of Iran drama not withstanding. I've never gotten over how absolutely, completely and clinically the US military annihilated Iraq military prior to harvesting Sadam from the earth where he hid. Iran fought Iraq for decades without advancing an inch
Already some black African person has rushed to the comment section to try and debunk the fact Nigeria produces this EV.
Problem with blacks and jealousy. Yet blacks will be first to cry racism. Like I noticed, Nigerians experience more bigotry from blacks and Africans than they ever do from white people
This is why I say if it was Nigeria that owe the relevant West Africa nations electricity, and not them us, Nigeria would be in front of the Hague by now.
richiemcgold: Condition of most Nigerian prisons are worse than this. These ones are still looking fresh and chubby na. The day I went to visit an inmate at Oba prison in Abeokuta, I was moved to tears seeing hundreds of inmates looking so thin and weary like skeletons. Nearly all of them were battling with severe skin diseases. I was told the situation was similar in all other Nigerian prisons. Na that day I agree say freedom is very priceless.
I believe if they placed you in that El Salvador prison, within a week (if you survived) you would beg to serve the remainder of your time in Abeokuta prison Nigeria.
Very mouthy Nigerians do so out of ignorance of the world. Nigeria is a relatively humain place.
I like the idea of tolling. If Nigeria lack the bureaucracy required to tax the people directly through the salary system, indirect taxation through federal, state and local government infrastructure may be the way forward. For instance, in addition to road tolling, government could introduce Pay To Use public toilets in major cities and towns etc...
I look forwards to the day Africa will be shod of inferiority complex and no longer hope to thrive by hiding under their hoped for demonisation of Nigerians.
Money isn't everything. And, in a sense, returning his children to Nigeria, is worth millions. I've stated this before and will reiterate: if you are Nigerian - I mean if you are Nigerian reading this not the millions from other African nations residing in Nigeria that are full of hate for Nigeria - do not send your children abroad untill they are 13 years old and above. Don't do it regardless of the fancy tales you may hear.
Let your children spend thire formative years in Nigeria.
ajahexcel: My name is Ajah Excel Anayo, This story is how a "Yello Brand" restored hope to a hopeless child.
I had completed my secondary education as the best student in WASSCE and third Best in NECO in 2008 from Federal Government College Okigwe.
For lack of sponsorship, I couldn't write JAMB that year till 2011 after I had raised some money from a teaching job I took.
Fortunately, I wrote JAMB and scored 277 and 264 in post utme, so I got admission to study Information Management Technology in Federal University of Technology Owerri. Then the big question "?", How will I pay acceptance, how will I do clearance, how will I pay school fees , What of accommodation, text books etc.
Fortunately, my friend from FGC okigwe met me in FUTO and gave me N25,000 to pay my acceptance. Another of my FGC Okigwe student took me in to stay in his room. That was how I got into FUTO.
Sincerely, I didn't bring anything to FUTO except two shirts and two trousers and 4 JAMB past questions I used for tutorial for predegree students.
So I started looking for scholarship opportunities, All through 100level, I didn't win any.
Before the semester exams, we were told that those who had not paid school fees will not write the exams. I became so scared and started looking for help all over.
One morning I decided to call the office line of FGC Okigwe Vice Principal, Mrs Ebere Dike. I told her that her best student in 2008 WASSCE wants to drop out for lack of sponsorship and asked I if the school could help in anyway. She told me that the principal who knew me had left and the current one is the third principal since I graduated. Finally, she promised to present my case.
As God would have the new Principal Mrs. Rose N. Nwachukwu took pity and paid my school fees. That was how I wrote the exam. Results were released and I came top of my class with a 4.45 gpa.
In my second year, the same challenge surfaced again, this time I almost dropped out. Then came the light of hope I got to learn about MTN Foundation Scholarship on the Internet from a scholarship website and my CGPA met the requirement. I applied and got enlisted for the exam. 13th of March 2013, MTN Nigeria restored hopes to me and many others with an award of N200,000 yearly.
With that money, I Paid my second-year fees, bought my first laptop I used to start a side hustle. MTN Foundation made good their promise and I received that support till I graduated.
Before I forget, Within same year I got the scholarship, I thought of how I could help other students who are indigent like me get access to scholarship information. In 2013 I started an online platform called Nigerian University Scholarships. It grew so quickly and became the go-to portal for scholarship and other educational resources. Today the platform has grown to become Worldscholarshipforum.com with over 2 million monthly visitors looking for scholarship information on the portal and has grown to birth a company Silicon Africa that now host Smfest one of Nigeria 🇳🇬 largest tech innovation conference.
Today we help over 2 million students every month access information on scholarships and other financial aid programmes through World Scholarship Forum I am happily married and have 3 lovely kids whose future is also secured. All these were only possible because the "Yello Brand" gave a helping hand. I cannot finish my success story without mention of this "Yello Brand". Dear MTNC Foundation, you didn't just help me, you helped a generation. This might be longer than expected but I can't hold the excitement I feel each time I share this story of how MTN Foundation restored hopes to my dying dreams. This is my 2013 version before MTN came to my rescue.

In short, a tale about the difference between a human being and deviants such as kidnapers, bandits, terrorists and strange Social Media characters employed to demarket Nigeria a wonderful country filled with people that will help you with all that they have if you ask and are willing to take the long road.
Nigeria requires more practical but eye candy buildings and less bog-standard utilitarian ones. A people with the dreary, difficult, existence that Nigerians seem to imply that they endure, would benefit from being surrounded by beautiful, stimulating, legacy infrastructures.
Perhaps he has been discouraged by the "Youths" especially that thire leader who resides on Niraland and keeps encouraging the youths to eat the rich.
Worst thing the poor of any nation can do is threaten the wealthy. Trying to blackmail the rich doesn't work. The Wealthy is a citizen of the entire world. They will go elsewhere leaving your skanky poor ass wallowing in your filth.
I do not believe any known disease has originated from Nigeria. This will change if Nigeria does not outlaw and enforce any such law prohibiting trading in so-called bushmeat.
